I've probably owned 7 different styles of Maui Jims over the years. I'm one of those finicky people that can't stand much pressure on my nose without it giving me a headache. I always gravitated to the light sport styles like Breakwalls (which are indeed wonderful also) but I always longed for the more stylish looking wire frame designs and aviators. I absolutely LOVED the looks of the Kahuna, but they were just a little too heavy to wear on long drives comfortably for my sensitive nose. I even tried a pair of those super light bendy wire ones, can't remember the model, but I just didn't like the way they felt. That brings me to the Frigate. To me, after all these years, these seem like the perfect blend of light, comfortable, sporty and stylish. They really are so light that you forget that you have them on. They look great in all colors/variations and the lenses are perfection as always with MJ. They've been very durable over the past year also. If you're looking for a pair of Maui Jims that blend stylish looks with forget you're wearing them comfort, you should try the Frigates.

Thee BEST eye protection you can get!!! Went to an extensive preventative eye exam at Bascom Palmer. Could not see out of the exam room. Put these on in the elevator. Instant vision! Closest thing to the face plate of the Apollo Lunar Astronaut gear.

I had my last pair of Maui Jim's for 13 years. Sadly, one of the lens broke in half and I was forced to get another pair. The Frigate Polarized Rimless Sunglasses, Gunmetal Blue with Black Sleeve, were the closest in likeness to my old pair. Very comfortable, looks great, and best in sunlight protection and glare. My father was so impressed with my purchase of these sunglasses that he bought himself a pair as well.

My second pair of Maui Jims in last 15 years. My first pair were still in great condition but due to catrerac surgery, I needed to change lenses. Loving my new Frigate glasses. Need to say that your customer service staff is great!

I've been wearing Maui Jim sunglasses for years. This pair is light weight, stylish, and makes the colors outside pop, when you put them on.

Bought these because I like the idea of minimal weight with the Titanium frames. Love the fit and feel but the lenses are a little big for my head. Ended up returning them and buying the Lighthouse model. If you put the lighthouse lenses on these frames I would buy them in a heartbeat.

The frigate pair of glasses is awesome! I had it for almost a month. I like the fact that it is super light, just like the old version Sandhills. However, this one fully cover the sunlight. Super light and comfortable!

Light weight and comfortable. They have a very clear and crisp view.

I'm sorry for the late review,but I must say I luv my Maui Jim sunglasses I ordered, since my Lasix surgery I needed a good pair of sunglasses and this fits the bill thank you I will highly recommend them ,Efrain

Glad I purchased this pair of sunglasses. They look very good, are light weight, and comfortable to wear.

I love these glasses. They are so light and flexible and protect my eyes from the burning, hot sun here in Florida.

Bought these for my husband. He always wears the Lighthouse style. These are pretty much the exact size, fit and look of the Lighthouse, just the titanium is more high end looking. He absolutely loves them! He wears them fishing and they stay on nicely. If you like the Lighthouse style you must get these!

An excellent, if pricey, pair of Maui Jims. Frameless and made with extremely lightweight (and crystal clear) Maui Pure lenses, these glasses are feather light to wear. The lenses are large enough and have enough wrap to provide good protection from light leakage. I have the Maui HT lenses, which are very good for days with bright overcast or mixed clouds and sun. Not the tint you want for a sunny day at the beach.

Just got a Frigate replacement for the pair of MJ that broke in half but was no longer made and, therefore, couldn't be replaced. MJ offered a coupon instead towards purchasing another pair, which I gladly used because, as far as I'm concerned, there are no better optics, lighter frame and better fit than MJ. I would have given these glasses 6 stars, if this coupon have not been a whole $80 less than I paid for the broken one. I guess for the wear and tear.

My last Maui Jim's wrapped around my head better but were discontinued. They prevented wind and debris better. They may need some getting used to but very light and comfortable.
