These boots are classic and will stay in style for years! I have short legs and short calves and I'm a runner, so finding boots that fit is a challenge. These fit perfectly! Top is just below my knee, can get them on, no problem and can even wear with skinny jeans and leggings tucked in. They're a really nice look: formal enough for work with skirts and cool enough for weekend casual. There is no cushion in the toe, but not sure an insole will stay put since these boots take a bit of an effort to get off. Really happy with the style, fit and quality.

It was a little hard to get my foot in at first, as a matter of fact, I was already going to send them back, but then put on some tights to make sure that wasn't the problem and I'm so glad I did, they are very comfortable, wore them all day for the first time without any discomfort. Lovely!

These boots are absolutely beautiful so I wish I could actually get them on. They are impossible to pull on and the shaft circumference is somewhat smaller than the 15.5" that the listing cites. The color of the Cognac leather has a bit more orange to it than I anticipated but I think that they will weather into a darker brown as they are worn. Back to the drawing board.

Gorgeous boot. Comfortable heel height. After reading various reviews saying it was a tight squeeze to pull on, I had high hopes it would be a good fit for my narrow foot/calf. Alas! Still too wide - could fit my arm in alongside my leg! -but at least it was easy on/off. Size info: 5'9", size 10AA shoe.

I agree with other reviews that getting on and off can be a challenge, but you get used to how to do it. Well made boots.

I bought these in a dark green/brown olive. They're my most comfortable boots I own, and ai own alot! I want every color. They're very comfy, dont squeeze my toes, lush looking, and exspensive looking boot

These are a beautiful pair of Frye boots. The heel is high enough to be stylish, but manageable. I usually run between 8.5-9 in shoes and bought a 9 and the fit is perfect. My calves are on the wider side, the right more than left. The shaft on the right leg is more snug, not still not uncomfortable, than the left. Over time the leather will stretch a little I feel. I agree with the others that without a zipper it is a little more difficult to get off, but I have adjusted to this because of my Billy Pull-ons.

Fantastic boot in true Frye style. I was hoping the slide on would work for me, but my shapely legs meant they weren't a good fit. Really great style, one of my favorites- I exchanged for the short bootie.

I love love these boots! Although, they are very difficult to get on. I almost returned them and put on a thinner sock and were a bit easier to slide into. They are also just as difficult to get off. I am hoping with wear that they will stretch some and be easier to get on and off. The cognac color is simply gorgeous and they go with everything. I have decided to keep them despite the challenge of getting them on and off.

These are so awesome! Great quality and fit over my hard to fit calves. Will be so cute with dresses and leggings. Best boots I've bought in a while! <3

I've never owned a pair of Frye boots - now that I have these boots I understand why Frye has such a great reputation! Straight out of the box they fit comfortably, way softer and more supple than my fancy *-kickers from Lucchese. The color I ordered, charcoal oiled suede, is slightly browner than it looks on the webpage, but no less beautiful. The suede is very soft and they fit snugly through the ankle and high part of my calf so that they won't slouch down my leg. I am short and have muscular though curvy legs and these boots fit nicely. (I was worried I might have trouble getting them up over my calves, but I didn't.) The heel height is lovely - not the tough lower clunky heel you'd find on a cowboy boot, but a lovely stacked, angled more sophisticated heel that is great with pants, leggings, dress or skirt. I am looking forward to enjoying these boots for years!

The leather is nice - however they are not like the Frye boots I grew up with back in the 70's. The toe was more pointer than I expected which made them uncomfortable. Heel height was good. True to size and average arch support. Unfortunately they are going back my toes will agree with this decision.

I have been looking for a suede boot for quite sometime and I am so happy I found these, on sale non the less!! They are gorgeous and can be dressed up or down, I love them with leggings or skinny jeans. They were a bit difficult to get on at first but they have broken in nicely and are super comfortable to wear all day. My only complaint is the calf circumference could have been a little wider. All around it is a great boot... If you're on the fence I say buy them!

I am heartbroken! Beautiful boots and I can't get my foot in them! I wear a 9 almost a W, but have thinner calves. The bucket is big but I was hopeful they would work. I would consider a larger size, but I fear the gap. LOL. They are worth a try. Zappos has great customer service!

Smells like heaven and fits my foot wonderfully...but I guess my legs are thin and I do not like how much room there is through the shaft! Still looking for the perfect boot for me, but if you have a thicker calf, this may be the ticket! FYI: my calf measures 13.5

Wonderful, soft leather, and a great height for us average 5'4" gals! The only downside for me was the toe: it's so pointy that my toes started to feel numb after about 10 minutes. I think a larger size will be too big, so I'm going to return these and keep looking.

I so badly wanted to keep this boot but sadly the shaft circumference is not 15.5 inches, it's closer to 15" or smaller. I love Frye boots but these had to go back as I could barely fit them on my calves. Would look great on thinner legs/calves.

These are pretty amazing and look beautiful. And they are made with typical Frye-quality gorgeous leather. My biggest gripe with these are that instead of having a wooden stacked heel, like all of my other Frye boots, they have a steel heel, and it's wrapped in a very thin black suede. And sadly, the very first night in wore them I accidentally stepped off a side walk and ripped the suite on the heel to expose the steel. I am sure I can glue it back, but for this price, that was wildly disappointing. For that reason I am only giving it two stars. I should have returned them, immediately, but I kept them because they are gorgeous (save for the big rip on the heel). Lesson learned-only buy boots with wooden stacked heels, moving forward.
