TLDR; Get a half size larger than your normal shoe size, don't run with these shoes So I ordered my true size and the next size up; definitely needed to keep the larger of the two, you may want to try a full size larger if you are inserting your own orthotics in. My trial run of these shoes was made today in Chautauqua Park in Boulder, CO. I did 4.8 miles, so I got a good feel of them. For walking trails or light hiking, these shoes performed excellent. Super lightweight and enough traction to climb up the many rocks in my way. I love the rubber toe; it saved me from some painful scrapes. For more vertical hiking or longer treks, I would not recommend these. They didn't really help the descent of my climb (other than the traction). Also, do NOT run in these shoes. Even with wool socks, it was quite painful. However, these would also make great casual shoes, though I don't know if they would irritate you after really long walks. I would recommend wearing socks on your first trail, but you could probably go blister-free after they are broken in.

The Pyche is a minimalist approach (hiking) shoe. The arch doesn't need support. No engineer builds support under an arch. The arch is its own support. Strengthen your feet. Evolve is a climbing shoe company. The Psyche sports climbing shoe rubber. That's why it scuffs floors indoors. Don't wear them indoors. I've hiked in them, bouldered in them, lead-climbed in them, top-roped in them, run/rock scrambled in them. For a shoe this light and tactile, I have no abrasion or durability concerns, so far. My first Evolv purchase, I've found the Trax rubber every bit 5.10's Stealth rubber - the industry's benchmark - equal. And I love the collapsible heel/slipper feature. So far, for price and performance, the Cruzer Psyche is the best all-purpose outdoor shoe I've ever owned. I never take them off.

I ordered 1/2 size larger as recommended by other reviewers and this worked out perfect for me. The rest of the sizing was fine and the lightweight was just what I needed. The styling is cool and sophisticated without being loud and the thin sole offers great flexibility. These shoes are for general use, not rock climbing or serious hiking and fit my purpose well.

Nice shoe, planning to buy this when it comes in in a men's 9.5 in slate. I wear a women's 11 medium, and though the men's 10 fits, it's just a skosh too big. I love the flexible sole and room for my toes! Planning to hike in these.

The women's 11.5/men's 10 is a pretty perfect length for my size 11 foot. Runs wide - I have a medium to narrow and somewhat thin, vertically, foot. Very comfy, just sloshing around a bit in the width. Nice looking as well. Love the flexibility!

I bought these shoes for short mountain hikes, every day walking, and for in the gym. The traction is great on wet boulders and logs. They are very comfortable for walking and look good. Also, I like to lift in these since they are flat, though I still remove them for deadlifts. I will definitely buy another pair when these wear out.

I much prefer flat bottom low profile shoes. I don't do any trail running or anything with these. I simply bought these to replace my everyday regular shoes. I figure climbing / hiking shoes should last longer than any tennis shoe. So far, these have been great. They look amazing and feel snug. I have skinny fit and these felt fine. If you generally buy a wider shoe, these will probably not work for you.

So far these shoes feel great... and call me crazy, but I've been strggling to find good light hiking sneakers that have a very flat footbed so I can put my own insole in... I've become a hard core Birkenstock fan after they helped me get over plantar pain, so i've bought a few pairs of Birk shoes and swap the insoles around... they work great in these!

I love these shoes. I initially bought them because I was having trouble with my Achilles tendon and needed a comfortable gym shoe that would not irritate it. Now I wear them everywhere. I've worn them walking city streets, at the gym, and hiking in the mountains. They're super cute and very comfortable. Another reviewer mentioned that the soles leave black marks on the floor, and that is true. So I don't wear them on my white kitchen floor! Other than that, they're great.

Great looking show and comfortable to wear for a while. For some reason this company decided to put a very hard sole on the shoe instead of one that is a bit softer and more flexible (like most minimalist shoes tend to have). As a result, if you spend any length of time on hard surfaces with this shoe your feet may get achy. If this had a sole more like Merrill's or Vivo Barefoot it would be a better shoe.

I wear a women's size 12 and based on previous reviews ordered 1/2 size up. They fit perfect but I haven't worn them out yet.

First off, I am pretty strict with shoes. I have to say they fit well, run a half size small.(to be expected with a form fitting hike/trail shoe) They glove fit the foot. However if you are going to use a arch support, they do kinda hug the back heel, which I am prone to hee blister ,as my heel sticks way out in the back. They might relax though. I can tell by the soft material, the shoe will have a small tendency ti mis-shape. as a cheaper shoe would. the sole is amazing. USA made. I can tell the sole rubber is of high quality. All in all a good show for the price.

Got blister on my tendons (not on heel) after 2 hours. Look great just didn't work for me. Damn, I liked them too!

First off I want to start, I really like these shoes. They fit well. Have excellent comfort. I walked over 70 miles in these shoes no discomfort, no blisters. I received tons of compliments. BUT....they have marking soles. Who has sneakers that leave marks on your floors anymore? I was prepping Thanksgiving dinner and at end of day was asking who wore the marking shoes that messed up my floors. It was me. Turns out all that pivoting was marking up my floors. I'm scared to wear them indoors now.
