This top of the foot portion of this boot was stiff and made a full walking stride difficult as it cuts across the top of the foot. Perhaps someone with a lower arch wouldn't have this problem. It's a cute style but had to return.

There were so many reviews I didn't read them. My mistake. And here I go adding one more. I imagine many people have shared that the gray is not gray but brown. Not even close to gray, especially with the brown laces. Since I'm looking for gray shoes, I had to send them back. I will add that I'm usually between a 7 and 7.5, and with this shoe 7.5 would be better.

I need to talk color (bordeaux) and sizing. I am a solid size 8. Never an 8 1/2 and never a 7 1/2. My foot is wide, but not wide enough to be a wide width. As recommended I went to the Taos website. According to them my size is 39. In European sizing I'm typically a 38. These "bordeaux" boots are not rich in color like the photos. More of a bland brown with a touch of burgundy. The top is bordeaux. Now sizing. THESE ARE NOT NARROW. The 39 as recommended for me is too wide and too long. Even with my thickest wool socks, straight out of the box they are too big. I have foot surgery coming up so I will keep them, but I am totally confused by all the sizing discrepancy. Seems like Taos is all over the place.

I am shocked at all the great review surrounding comfort. While these are really cute they are so stiff up the back of my foot I cannot wear them. Ordered 8.5, normally and 8 and they a 9. While the 9 was a better fit, they are way to uncomfortable to keep.

These boots are as beautiful in person as they look online. I have very narrow heels and slim ankles. So, these were true to length but too roomy in the heel even with two pairs of socks. Also, I had them laced up so the two sides overlapped at the top of the shaft. For this much money, I decided not to try to make them work and returned them.

Gorgeous teal (more blue than green), nice stylish casual boots. Forefoot was a little narrow for my wider foot, and the leather is pretty firm and sturdy. I won't bet on them stretching, so back they go.

Loved these boots but I could not get the sizing correct...bunions and all!Taos is an amazing brand of shoe though. Had to send back.

These are beautiful looking boots, they seem well made, and the inside felt very warm. They're a little chunkier than I expected, although they'd be lovely for winter with a pair of jeans. My issue with them was the arch support, it was prominent towards the back of my arch, but didn't continue along the length. For the price, I wasn't willing to see if the support improved with wear. I was excited to get these, but unfortunately they're going back.

Boot solidly made. I wanted the camel color as pictured, but what arrived was decidedly brown. Returned as the color pictured apparently doesn't exist.

These boots are really cushy- a friend of mine who works in restaurant service swears by them. Unfortunately, they are really narrow, especially in the toe-box. But so stylish! It seems that the wide version is available elsewhere, just not on the Zappos website.

I read the reviews on these and thought I would try them. They felt very narrow and did not have a very soft footbed. To be fair, I do have many problems with my feet (bone spurs etc.), so I may not be the best judge of boots. If you have bunions, spurs, or wide feet, these are not for you. They are very stylish and are well made.

Had high hopes for this boot given the reviews. Size 39 felt a size too small. Much too narrow across the toe box, not suitable for wide feet. And surprisingly stiff. Thought these would offer durable yet supple leather and flexibility similar to Pikolinos. Love the color (ink blue) and silhouette of the boot but would unlikely be comfortable even if I went a size up.

I am a size 11 and the 42 were just too small. Its too bad because I love the look of the boots. But I will be returning them.

I REALLY wanted to love this boot. I took a lot of time - did not want to make a rush decision - the left boot was so comfortable. Maybe it is my right foot - but there was something about the outer arch area of the footbed that would just make the outside of my right foot ache after a while. Give them a try - maybe this was just a fluke or maybe my foot. Crazy cute and comfy other than that right foot. sigh..... back to the search!

These are lovely, well-made boots with a nice, narrow ankle. Unfortunately, I found the footbed too narrow in the forefoot and too wide in the heel.

Toe box was too restricted, even with regular socks. Material was very rigid. I think these boots had been returned once, because the laces and packing material was rearranged. I was thrilled to get these, because they were all out of stock, but disappointed.

I have a wide size 11 foot - this "11-11.5W" felt like a 10.5 narrow - they are very pretty boots, but run very small (the 42 in euro sizes is actually more like a 10.5, but I was hopeful)

These are a lot lighter in color than pictured and I would say the width is more of a medium. Cute boot, though! I hate to return it, but no choice

These shoes are super cute! However, they run so small that I can't possibly wear them. They seemed a little tight when I first tried them on, but I attributed it to needing to break them in. The site said that this is the case. However, they are so painful that I had to go home and change after a 30-minute walk. I'm hoping that a cobbler will be able to stretch them out half a size. If not, then it'll end up being a waste! If you end up getting these, go at least a half size bigger than you normally wear!

Initially I thought these were fantastic. They were immediately comfortable, didn’t seem to need any breaking in. So I wore them out to a party. Then I put them on to wear to work and noticed the right one squeaking obnoxiously. The more I’ve worn them, the worse it’s gotten. Both are now squeaking. It’s annoying and embarrassing and it shouldn’t be happening! Brand new leather boots are NOT supposed to squeak, especially ones that cost more than $200! I wish I had never worn these outside so I could return them. Definitely won’t be buying this brand ever again. I knew I should have just bought Dr. Martens…
