Style and fit are great. I'm disappointed in the color. I ordered red. The upper suede part is red but the rest of the boot is more of a dark burgundy color unlike the picture on the website. I'll keep them because there is no time to look for red boots before my trip. I ordered these to replace my fabulous but worn out red boots so I'm bummed out as far as the color goes. Don't buy these boots if you want red.

I liked this boot but it was a little too wide in my size (9 or 40) and I was pretty sure the 39 would have been too short in length, they also made my feet look big, I had to return them. Love Zappos return policy.

I love this style and brand of boot. I ordered them in Olive and it was an olive...ish top, yet the boot itself was more of a brown. I have a pair of these in brown and the are practically twins. Taos is a wonderful boot. I have them in red, brown, black in two different styles, and had a true Olive in the Rockport boot. They however are not available at this time. If you like a greenish brown these are for you. The style and look of this boot is wonderful. I almost wonder if they sent me the wrong color.

It is with wailing and gnashing of teeth that I had to send these back. I LOVED THEM SO MUCH! Their teal blue was not a blue but an old school funky green= very cool. The style is trim and yet funky. So my style. But their size 42 is not the 11 or 11.5 they advertise. It's not even a full 10.5. I know, because I wear a 10.5 in other shoes and this one was just too short. Again, I'm so bummed. I wanted to make these work any way I could. In the end, they were just too short in the toe space. Dangdangdangdang!!!

These are cute, the material was kind of stiff. I have a normal to high arch but a narrow foot and the arch support felt like it went all the way across my feet and the foot bed was hard and hurt my feet. I know the insole is removable and I have insoles I could put in but I just wasn't in love so I sent them back.

I first saw this shoe in New Orleans. I live in CA. I tried them on in 42m which is an 11. It was too small. I told them I wil try to find it back home in 43 which I did. I want the camel color but the black was available so I purchased it for size. It's very comfortable and seems like it will last forever. I guess I can say it ran a little small for me. I returned the black and am waiting for Zappos to notify me "back in stock." The boot is a little heavy, clunky looking, but for me its about the comfort.

These boots are stylish and very comfy as many other reviewers stated. However the only downside is they are heavy. It’s like wearing weights on your feet so they are not the kind of boots that you would wear if doing a lot of walking. Now I’m small at 5’1 and 115 pounds so maybe that factors in a bit. Not sure if I want to keep these as I need shoes that I can walk in for several hours at a time. Too bad

Really disappointed these boots did not fit. They were too short. I really liked the style - lace up with the side zipper - together would create a perfect fit. I stepped out of my norm and ordered the teal - they were gorgeous. Nice deep color. Unfortunately teal is not currently available in the next size up. I've bought Taos shoes before and found them well made and worth the money. This boot did not disappoint in its workmanship. It' made of quality leather with top stitching on the edge of the upper and good tread. Would be la good investment.

Love this boot and so bummed that it is a tad small. I thought they would soften a bit but not enough to prevent blisters on both heels. Very well-made, attractive boot. If your foot runs on the narrower/shorter side, do try this boot...

Great boot and color is fantastic. Runs small; I have these in a 41, purchased last year, and runs my heel. I think the 42 will be better. Good for all but the coldest and snowiest days in the Twin Cities. Taos is a good brand for high arches and supination. Thanks Zappos!

This shoe is very pretty. I usually wear a 7 1/2 and got an 8 in this and it is a good fit. However, I was disappointed in the comfort, especially in the heel. I find the heel very hard and the first time I wore them for a long time, my heels hurt. I'm hopeful this will get better once they are broken in well.

Nice boots. Wish the sole was a little wider at the arch. I have very high insteps so have to lace the shoe loosely, and the sides of the shoe ended up bulging, making my foot feel a little unstable.

These boots are beautiful. I ordered them in the olive color, which was ever so slightly olive and quite an elegant color. Looked great with blue jeans. I am returning them with reluctance. The difference in height between the forefoot and the heel was too much for my overall comfort and lifestyle.

I love Taos and own quite a few pair of shoes and boots and was hoping to add this style to my closet, unfortunately this pair won't be making the cut. The style is great, the size was true but the width seemed much narrower and they seemed tight around the calf. That may stretch with wearing but unless I can put a pair of boots on and go - they don't find their way into my closet. I found a pair Pikolinos that are very similar and fit like I want my shoes and boots to fit.

Super cute boots, but my toes are touching in the front and snug across the balls of my feel. Back they go.

Beautifully crafted and sturdy boots with a handy side zipper. The teal color is to die for! But alas they're being returned. I didn't find them comfortable - perhaps it's my age, a stylish and artsy 66yo. I wear a US 7.5 and a EU 38. I was tempted to order a half size up because normally that's recommended for boots. They are true to size if you wear the boots without socks. They were too snug with light cotton ankle socks and my toes hit the front of the boot. I could order a US 8 but I won't because they weren't that comfortable to me. However, they are gorgeous boots and I sure wish I could keep them.

Love, love, love the Crave boot by Taos. I love it so much, this is my 4th pair. However, I couldn't give this particular boot a 5-star overall rating. The color says it's Teal, but it's much more of an Emerald Green. The boot I received doesn't look anything like the picture. I was disappointed as I'm not sure how practical the green will be for me. Still debating on keeping it or sending it back. They do have a Blue Ink color, but my size is out of stock. I may just wait.

First, know that I LOVE Taos shoes - have 2 pairs of sneakers, and 3 pairs of sandals. So I was excited to try the boots. I wear a size 9 so I ordered the 40s and found my toes hitting the top of the boot, and didn't find the comfort I was used to. So I ordered a 41 - way too big. I was very disappointed, until I wandered into a shoe store which carried the boots, and the saleperson had the same problem. She recommended switching out the insole in the sneakers (which I was wearing) with the insole in the boot. Tried it there in the 40 - and all of a sudden the boots were perfect! So I'm sharing this because if there's anyone else out there who can't figure out why the boots aren't working for them, this may be the fix you need! And so love the Bordeaux color!

Update!! I was SO in love with these boots when I first bought them. They weren't the perfect fit for my feet but they were close. They do not come waterproof but I planned to treat them with something. The style is fabulous. Then i did a little more reading and noticed some reviewers said these boots do not hold up well and start to look scuffed and shabby pretty quickly (some reviewers posted photos). I decided to try on a few more styles and brands before i made up my mind. After trying on countless pairs of boots thanks to Zappos incredible return policy, I decided to return these and go with a pair of Timberland Jayne watrproof boots in burgundy. The Timberlands seem like they will hold up better, are already waterproofed, are just as comfy as the Taos (once i use an orthotic), have a better price point and are still pretty stylish! The taos boots are still great, don't get me wrong, the Timberland's just had more of what I was looking for.

I'd like these better if the laces were blue instead of brown to match the boot.

Great color and style but ended up returning the teal for the bordeaux because it's more versatile. I initially thought these ran small but after trying on both a 38 and a 39 i decided the 38 is a better fit (I am usually a 7.5). Wish there was a little more room in the toe box but otherwise love these!

The brown laces are a drawback -- should match the shoe.

I really like these boots. They are light weight and seem comfy. The pair I received was marked 42 but fit like a 41. My toes were all the way to the end and I was wearing trouser socks. I will reorder figure it out.

These boots are SO CUTE. And relatively comfortable. But I found another set of boots that weren't quite as cute, but WAY more comfortable, and half the price. So if style is your priority, go for these. If comfort is at the top of your list, you can find others that are just as comfy, if not better. They are a wee bit narrow, but I was okay. I'm basically between sizes, and ordered up. They fit very well.

I love the look and they feel good on my feet.. but for some reason if I wear them for more than a couple hours and walking on them.. my legs are killing me.. so much so that I can’t really wear them. It’s super disappointing cause I really like these boots. I added ortho inserts and it did not help.
