I first had purchased the Dromedaris Kara and found it was too big on my foot all-around and couldn't be tightened enough to feel secure. I am almost always a 7.5 (except UGG which I size down to 7). But I have thin ankles and high arches. So I exchanged the Karas for the Taos Crave. They fit perfectly and are true to size, even with winter socks on, a half size up would have been too big. They are high quality leather, I bought the grey, which is deep and rich in color. I think the Kara had a slightly more stylish look (just my personal preference) but the Crave feels good on, no break in time, wore all over downtown cold rainy Portland right when I got them and no issues. Getting lots of compliments. Love the heel-just a tad taller than some of the others while not being "tall". Overall I am very happy with these boots and I tried the other colors on in person and found them a bit too bright. The grey seems to go with everything.

These are great boots. I frequently buy Frye boots but I decided to try these and I love them. I bought the Teall color and it's really fun and different. The leather is soft out of the box and the boots are comfortable to walk in. I'm a 7 1/2 to an 8 and the 8 worked for me.

I love this boot and wanted to keep it, if it wasn't for issues with my feet I would have kept them, good quality, soft leather, really cute boots, sadly they just don't work for me.

Ordered these in the Bordeaux and love them so much, I'm back to snag the teal. Very comfortable. Super easy to slip on and off. Stylish and did I mention comfortable? Could walk forever in these boots. Love!

These are the most adorable and comfortable boots I've ever owned. I've been shopping for work boots for years now and these are the first pair that has satisfied all my requirements in a boot.

These are my first pair of boots that are a bit taller. Love the lacing and zipper to get a perfect fit! They are very comfortable and can be worn all day long in the classroom or as a tourist. Love the color and variation in styling. So happy with these that I looked at other Taos styles.

I was nervous to order this item as I only buy wide shoes. I have high insteps, and wide floppy feet. I took a chance and ordered the 39. (I'm normally a size 8 wide.) Happy dance! Enough toe room, and I used a shoe stretcher to gently stretch the upper to fit my instep (it was pretty close to fitting anyway, with the laces at the top). It was the place just below where the laces begin that I stretched. I can wear them all day. The reason I took a chance is that I used to have a pair of Taos sandals that also surprisingly fit me without being wide. Seems like a good shoe company overall. This is a great boot. I ordered the teal color. I've been wearing these all week. Love.

I had a hard time justifying the money but I've got bunions and it is VERY difficult to find footwear that is comfortable and stylish. Based on other reviews I went a size up, got 40's for my US size 8.5 wide foot. These boots are very comfortable! I'm thrilled with them. They actually are running me more than the list price because I've bought some new items to wear with them. I'm not sure why Taos calls the color "violet" -- its more a muted oxblood maybe. Love the zipper, no struggling in or out. Worth the $$.

Awesome boots but unfortunately I have a really wide foot and they didn't fit right even with the laces so I had to return them.

I LOVE shoes in blues or greens, and teal is my favorite. So despite the fact that I don't need a pair of boots, I hit order. Based on comments, I ordered my regular size of 8/39 and one size up (40). I tried the 39s on first and they were perfect, the 40s never came out of the box. They are quite comfortable. Because I have cranky feet, I may add more arch support but these will be great for most everyone as is. The fleece lining is quite comfortable with both regular and thick socks. I knew the boots had a good tread, but had not realized the entire sole is synthetic including all of the heel--it looks like leather. For me, in Maine, this is a really good thing because it means they will hold up better in slush and winter much. Wish I could afford to buy them in another color!

Incredibly comfortable and cozy with the lining. True to size I wear a size 7 medium and ordered a size 37 - perfect fit with room for light weight socks. Colors exactly as pictured, I ordered the Black, Teal and Red and am keeping all of them. Look great with jeans and dressy enough to wear to work. Very well made. Highly recommend!!

Wow. I never write reviews on products, but I REALLY like these boots! I got them as work boots, but it is important to me to still be stylish. I consider myself qualified boot connoisseur. I just got them so perhaps I may feel differently at some point, but they look well made, fit well, and my purpose intended.

The most comfortable shoes/boots!! This is my 2nd pair (I also have red!!) I walked MILES in these boots and my feet felt great!!! My sisters. My daughter. My mother. We all had to have them!

I can't say enough about these boots. I found them comfortable right out of the box. The heel is just the right height. I got them in the teal and they are gorgeous!

Best purchase I've made in a long time. Completely comfortable from the first wear, really solid and yet not too heavy for all-day walking. The violet color is just gorgeous.

The fit is spot on for toe space, they're warm, the heal is a perfect height. They're dressy enough for jeans, leggings or skirts. No breaking period. I can shop in them all day and my feet never feel tired. I get complements on my real color boots all the time! I'm considering the purple ones Very stylish, I highly recommend?

This boot has a beautiful color. It's designed for winter with a fuzzy interior. Super comfortable for walking all day.

I'm so happy with these boots. The fit is perfect and they were comfortable from the start--no need to "break them in slowly". They look and feel terrific.

Love these boots! Comfortable from the very beginning. The 41 fit my size 10.5 feet perfectly,and although I sometimes require a wider width, these are just fine. And very contemporary looking. They feel like boots that will easily see me through the winter, and last a long time.

I think these are stellar. I got the purple and it is such a gorgeous color - subtle and rich looking. They are slightly narrow in the toe box for me, but the shape is right for my foot so I can live with them being a tiny bit narrower in the toe than I would prefer. I swapped out the insole for a cushier one (Aetrex memory foam insole) as the one that comes with the Crave does not have enough arch support for me. I absolutely love them.

Wanted these in the teal color, but initially the store was out in all sizes. When they came back into stock, I waited too long and my size ran out (9-9.5), so I ordered a size up (10-10.5), thinking it would be close enough as long as I wore thick socks. While wearable, they were a little too wide and long, making it not the best choice (I choose boots both for style and ankle/foot support purposes). My usual size came back into stock (yay!), and when received they are a great color, but the sole of the right boot creaks very loudly every time I step. It also felt slightly larger than the left boot. So, back they go and I’m re-ordering in the same size with the hope that the sizing feels correct in both boots, and no odd creaking! For what it’s worth, I previously purchased these in the red, in my usual size, and they are beautiful, with great arch/ankle support, and zero creaking.
