These boots are beautiful. Great quality and great comfort. Can work and walk in these all day. They are comfortable right out of the box. Love Taos.

I have narrow feet and found these to feel a bit wide. I thought I could just lace it tighter and get a snug fit, but this was not true. I plan to wear these with thick socks and figure that a bit loose is better than too tight. I normally wear 7.5 and got a 38 and I think the length is just fine. If I had sized up this would have been a mistake. I got the smoke color and like the style. I am looking forward to cooler weather so I can wear them.

True to size and super comfortable!

My new favorite kicks! My feet need support or I suffer from serious foot pain do I am super fussy. These are awesome! I would buy them a thousand times again, worth every dollar! Fit is perfect, easy on and off. I'm a real estate agent and these things are important to me! I can wear these to a rural property and safely scale the oldest, steepest steps or walk the lumpiest overgrown property but still look put together enough for the next stop in the suburbs or city. The ruby color is gorgeous! Red enough to feel fun but the shade is dark and subdued enough they don't look out of place with most outfits. A super cute alternative to heels and wedges on days when comfort is important!

I can tell that if these had fit right they'd be stupid comfy, (they've got a fuzzy lining for crying out loud!), but they feel like they were not made for feet that are the same shape as mine. The arch support feels kind of far back, and the top of the boot felt tight despite the toe and heel both feeling loose. I couldn't fit into them with thick socks, but I would have needed them in order to keep my heel from sliding up and down with every step. I love the look, they're great quality boots and are crazy comfortable to walk in even with the slight heel, but they just do not fit me right. I'm a straight up size 6, but the strange way they fit lets me know that playing with sizes won't help my awkwardly shaped feet fit any better.

These are my second pair of the Taos Crave as they're my #1 favorite pair of shoes, which is hard to admit since I'm a Fluevog fanatic. But Taos Crave are the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned, plus they're gorgeous. I've walked through many cities in Europe wearing them. That said, I didn't realize how much better they feel when you add arch support, like superfeet (a full one cut in half or just get the half one) even birkenstock arch support (haven't tried those yet but my chiropractor recommends them) - any extra arch support that's not rigid like plastic. I have the burgundy pair of the Taos Crave and just ordered another pair in blue ink. I recently had the heel of my burgundy pair re-soled after wearing them almost daily for three years and they still look fantastic! They do look better with regular polishing but I've only polished mine twice in three years. The Crave does need a day or two of breaking in, I'd forgotten that about my first pair. They arrive a bit stiff but they loosen up and mold to your feet in no time. I love them so much that I tried the tall pair too but they were far too stiff for me. I'm sure they too would eventually loosen up but I didn't like them enough to try and returned them for another short pair instead; which I love! I can't say enough good things about this adorable, comfortable, boot!

I have these in 4 colors!!! Taos has been making the Crave boot for several years now, and I’ve been wearing them as long. Come fall, they’re my go-tos. Then through our entire New England winters, snow, ice, salt, and all. Work and play. The design, materials, and workmanship are impeccable. They are SO comfortable, almost therapeutic, for my weary feet. They’ve seen me through hallis rigidus, and the fix. They never needed any break-in time, and aren’t high-heeled enough to hurt my back after a day. I wear them with everything — wide-wale cords with the cuffs turned up to show them, wool dresses with ribbed tights, and snug jeans. They make my feet look tiny because of the design. I almost never have to rework or tighten the laces — do It once and you’re good. And the compliments keep coming. Nearly every time I go out. About the colors — and this is subjective … the non-black or super dark colors really showcase the boot’s beautiful design detail. The green is not a loden or sage green, it’s more a brown with a barely green tint. The navy-teal draws double-takes because at a glance, it’s navy, but wait — it’s much more. The British tan color looks out of this world with a long gold or camel Irish tunic and skinny dark jeans or white cords!

These boots are a favorite, They are multifunctional meaning good for work or play. I get compliments all the time, a lot of compliments about "how cool those boots are" I usually wear Fry, so this was risky for me to purchase, but I love them! The color is stunning.

I love Taos boots. tried their shoes..but not good for my feet. even ordered a wide once but they still make them for narrow footed people. ..BUT the boots i can swing! i own 5 ...wish tho, Taos would really make a bit more wide shoes...and boots.

Color is more hunter green. Very dark so goes with anything. Wore all day straight from the box and I have finicky feet! If you are on the fence buy them exceptional quality and comfort. Just beautiful

I ordered several pairs of waterproof boots, looking for a comfortable, stylish boot that would work for casual walking in the rainy winter, spring, & fall seasons in the PNW. These were my favorite by looks but when I initially tried them on, I didn't think they would work. They felt a bit snug with my Smart Wool socks (which I prefer to wear every day) and I could feel my heel lifting a bit while walking. BUT I took out the Taos insole and switched it for my green Super Feet insoles that I normally reserve for my hiking boots and then played around with relacing the laces to keep my heel down. I'm thrilled to say that combo did the trick! They fit perfectly now and I've worn them on long walks around Seattle and our neighborhood consistently for a month with absolutely no blisters or discomfort. They've loosened up a bit overall, just like a good hiking boot does. Super pleased overall and glad I stuck with them.

I really like these boots. They are leather so they will take a bit of breaking in but I slapped a couple band-aids on the heels before the 1st wear as this ain't my first rodeo and no blister issues!

Love them! Love the brand, the fit and the comfort for a taller boot! I will own more pairs of these as time goes on. They are perfect.

Ordered a 39, when it arrived, the box said 39. Boots were super tiny! I looked inside and the tag on the boots said 37. Of course now there aren't any 39s available in this color because they are on sale. Unfortunate mistake of course, but still a bummer!

These are my new favorite boots!! My husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I brought him to the Zappos website and told him these boots!!!! I have high arches and an arthritic big toe and these boots feel wonderful. My foot feels protected and they are so so comfortable. Now I want another pair in another color!! So happy and satisfied with them.

Good for wide calves and somewhat wide feet. I took broke these boots in on short walks around the neighborhood, then gave them their real test: 3 hrs at the zoo last week. They felt great! My feet weren't tired at all, fully supported, even though my legs were. I got the size 39 and I normally wear a 7.5W or 8M/W. I wouldn't describe the toe box as "roomy"--I'd call it "barely sufficient." But since it's good leather that breaks in well, I kept them, and they're stretching to fit. Since 39 is actually a little long for me, there's slippage at the heel. I might add a sticky insert in the summer, when I'm not wearing thick socks any more. I also have very wide calves, and even ankle boots are often too narrow for me. These are no problem--the laces are completely adjustable, of course, and even when loosened far enough, don't look too stretched out.

Loved these boots, but just too small. :(
