My wonderful wife bought the FAT TIRE "Camo" color for my Christmas Present and these are simply the best outdoor boot/shoe I have ever owned. EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE... like walking on an inner tube from your mountain bike. But the second thing is the "dial" closure which makes getting these on and off about a 2 second thing... I remember a pair of running shoes 10-15 years ago that had a similar dial open/closure system and I loved them also... ALL boots and shoes should use this system. I am sorry to see they are out of the CAMO one's and hope to see many more low and mid and high shoes and boots with the FAT TIRE feel and dial system!

OMG! These are, without a doubt, loved the style and look, but then I tried them on and there was an abnormality in the right one that made them unwearable. I contacted Under Amour and told the customer service person the situation and I was surprised when she told me she would send another pair out that day! I actually received the replacements before I could make it to the post office to send to the others back! I am very impressed. They are super light and extremely comfortable. I was looking for a shoe/boot to wear this winter and am I so happy to have found these. First day that I wore them for a full day, I did a couple of long hike at Great Smoky Mt. Very comfortable. Great grip on sole. I would recommend this shoe.
I'd also recommend:

I have never anticipated the release of a "shoe" until I saw the photos and news about the Fat Tire GTX by Under Armour. Michelin rubber outsole, BOA closure, Gore Tex waterproofing, and UA's comfort technology. These shoes are ridiculously comfortable and made with quality. Also, I have gotten so many questions about my shoes, because they do look quite different. But, no interests have never been negative. I love telling people about how excited I was for them to release and that I couldn't be happier with them.
These shoes/boots are filled with "pros," but I have noted a couple of minor "cons." First, the shoes run about a half a size small, compared to my other UA shoes, but not enough to complain about. I wear a size 9 in most UA shoes, but I could have bought a 9.5 and been good. Another "con" is the color choices. There is the one-of-a-kind Ridge Reaper Barren camo, which I absolutely love, and a crazy-looking black/blue/orange color scheme to choose from. I have enough camo, so I went with the black/blue/orange. I do really like this color, but I would have been even more satisfied with black/black, black/grey, or black/white, to go with a simple yet nice look.
Overall, these shoes are worth the money!!! The welds are holding up very well, the cable on the BOA closure is awesome quality, the waterproofing is performing great, and they just look awesome! Great job Under Armour!

Best boots I've ever worn. Having survived on Hokas after an Achilles tendon tear, I needed something burlier to get out on the trail in addition to the cushion and comfort to which I'm now addicted. I found the Fat Tires better in griping, breathability, odor containment, cushioning, and lacing than any I've previously owned. The curved sole even makes it easier to do sloped terrane, and they remained waterproof while standing in water. The anti-fungal fibers are an added plus. Although, I probably wouldn't have bought them without the Boas. After returning the initial pair for one a half size larger, they've been a constant wear, even indoors. I'm looking forward to picking up the Lows.

These are excellent hunting boots! Very comfortable, traction is great, very good in wet weather. I was skeptical about the lacing system, but it actually works very well. These may be the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, wish they would make the fat tires in an every day shoe as well.

Just received my Fat Tires today. Oh my goodness! Under Armour, I knew that I could trust in you once again. I needed a boot that would be the overall winner compared to all the other boots on the market (i.e. Keen, Merrell, LA Sportiva, Wolverine, etc) - - I ride Motocross and hang outdoors a lot, these boots will fit the profile for use. Even though I qualified for a discount, these boots are worth the price. I love the waterproof characteristic of the boot, it showed me protection right away. I can also say that the grip on rocks, concrete, uneven terrain, or even wood is awesome! I would honestly like to purchase all the other models of the Fat Tire. These boots have the durability that'll last a lifetime for sure! Don't hesitate to buy these. Lastly, I would like to share that I wear a size 9 or 9.5 depending on the shoe (sneaker, boot, or dress shoe). I purchased a size 10 and it feels like a comfortable 9.5 for me (my feet are wide though) so.....I would suggest getting a 1/2 size up if more wiggle room is desired.
Hey UA, I see that you were able to come up with these, I'm sure you're able to tap into the Motocross / Supercross market with some options - - hey, and don't forget to use the same Michelin soles on at least 2 of your models.....lol, I'll be the first to buy!!

Awesome boots, but get a half size bigger. I spent a week in the Wyoming backcountry & these performed amazingly! The grip they have on rocks is unreal!
The only down side is the tongue is squeaky, but a little baby powder fixed that.

UA has gone to a new level. Never have seen or worn a shoe like this. Great feel, great lacing technology, easy to slip on and off, looks great. I wear a size 10 but based on previous comments, i got size 11 and they fit perfect. This shoe will sell out when the word gets out. More expensive than others but WOW!!

Seriously UA...put a steel toe in em and you'll own the light duty workboot from red wings to Carolina to Caterpillar to hytest boots ...I've worn boots 25 years daily and just for kicks wore these on night turn and my God what a difference in comfort walking around on concrete for 12 hrs (millwright ) ...make the outside leather for spark protection steel toe and keep that fat tire and youd own the boot category hands down

I work in a Jail. Concrete floors, depending on where you work, you can be on your feet for most of the 12 hour shift... these are amazing for feet fatigue!!! Run small just keep in mind... they might lose up after a few days. Thanks Underarmour!!!!

I use these boots for work (security) so i use them for outdoor and indoor use. they are very comfortable. Don't let the look fool you they are worth it. I have lower back problems so with the boot design being how it is i can last all day standing. Even though these boots haven't seen rain or water yet they feel like they would be OK. If you're looking for something comfy this is the one. The only downside of this was the price.

I bought these boots for elk and deer hunting this year and like them overall. I had to go up one half size compared to my Danner work boots. So far in 10 days of hunting I have covered well over 60 miles in these boots. They seem to be holding up well.
The biggest issue I have is sound. If I tighten the boots to a comfortable level they squeak. Loud enough to jump a buck. If I loosen them they don't squeak but then I get a killer blister on my heel. The squeak might have something to do with the dusty environment I hunt in. However, they did it when new and have not improved though break in. I hope UA can do something to improve this issue.

Just like the other 2 pairs of UA boots I own they feel great! But just like the other 2 pairs the soles have started peeling off? They are so comfortable I just ordered another pair while I send the defects back. Having one leg and doing outdoor activities constantly I don't have to worry about my foot sliding out from under me. 2 days till my new pair!

I received my boots today, and they amaze me. Looked great, awesome tech, and high praise.
The sizing guide for this boot is flawed though. I would say they run basically true to size, assuming you disregard the sizing chart.
Measure your foot, to heel, and choose the corresponding size.
I look forward to using these in the future! Been on my wish list for a long time now, Happy I pulled the trigger

These may be the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. That being said they were bought for hunting. That being said they are horrible for hunting. The snowboard boot like tongue needs re-designing. The second generation of these should be amazing. Returning my boots

I purchased the UA Fat Tire and overall I'm very impressed with this boot. It is by far the most comfortable shoe/boot I have ever worn. And that says a lot after spending 5 years in the Army.
I have put these boots to the test on the trails through western and central Virginia. My only complaint would be the tongue squeaks pretty loudly. I'm concerned about my spot and stalk hunts or even walking to a tree stand.

This is my second pair of Fat Tires. This pair fits nothing like the first generation. Me and both my kids have been wearing them for a year. Bought the new ones for all 3 of us, they rub very aggressively on the outside of both ankles at the top of the boot on all 3 of us.

I felt compelled to update my review, however since I cannot update my review on the UA site for some odd reason, I will add it here.
So after about a hundred miles of use (not that much for a boot), I've noticed some things that require a downgrade of my initial impression. Let me just begin with they are still darn comfortable for the most part, the rocker type sole really works for me, and that particular feature is what I've sold a few folks on, they found it as comfortable as I did. However, in that area resides one of my issues. The tread is almost bald after only a hundred miles! Once that's gone, they are gone, which kinda sucks for the price tag. My second gripe is with the Boa system. As much as I loved it at first, the ease of getting in and out, they eventually proved to be flawed. I found that they will wrench down pretty hard on your foot long before it starts to cinch well enough around your ankle, making them not that supportive up top, I almost had a pretty nasty ankle roll coming down a mountain. I've even tried to wear thick socks in hopes it would force the system to tighten more around the ankle, which in turn made an already hot boot even hotter. Also, there has been some stretching of the material going on. They looked perfect new, but now the two sides nearly touch across the top of my foot.
All in all I still think these are seriously comfortable, and with easy hiking or street walking, they should remain useful for at least a little while.

I love the style of these shoes and the lacing system. They are very comfortable for a guy like me who’s on my feet 10 plus hours a day being a city truck driver. My complaint who these shoes are for $200 these shoes should have came with better insoles for that price. I’m a person who suffers with over pronation and just feel at price the shoe could have more stability in it but it could just be me. I probably won’t make year in these because after a couple of months the bottom soles have already begun to wear down.

These seem to be very a unique boot. The first time I saw them at a large retailer I tried them on and got very excited about the fit and uniqueness of these boots, their is nothing like them. In the store a size 10 fit great. I ended up buying them from a small outfit online and when I received them a size 10 is way too small. I don't know if the sizeing varies that much or if it was a freak thing. It seems that I need a size11. Returning them to the place I bought them from is a giant hassle so now I just need to sell a brand new pair of the Fat Tire Camo size10 New in the box for whatever I can get for them so I can buy and enjoy the only boots that I have been excited about in a long time.
Way to go Under Armour.

The colors are what caught my eye, then I slid my foot into them and they won me over. I have a failing tendon in my left foot, these allow room for my custom inserts and brace I wear on my left foot.
I get tons of compliments too. I really LOVE the Boa lace system too, quick in and out.
My only issue the prevents from future purchase, the soles are worn down to slicks already. I purchased at the end of March 2016 and really expected them to go a lot longer than 6 months.
Still high on my list for comfort and all day wear.

I was hiking in and out of trails being in wet and dry puddles. The shoes claim to be 100% waterproof which is false. It has been over a day and the inside of the shoe is still not dry. At this price, I would at least expect it to be true to its description. Throughout my travels, the shoelace/wire loosened over time which also was a con. I had to stop and tighten my shoes every 30 mins. Maybe it seems to work more efficiently on land as opposed to wet conditions.

Love the boots. Most comfortable boot I have ever owned. Wore them turkey hunting today and they were so noisy/squeaky that I couldn't take it any more and have to return them.
Very sad.

These are great shoes for walking around in be that walking the dog, or going for a hike, just don't plan on hunting in these. Way to loud for that, the internal lacing while slick and super easy to use creates a rubber on rubber noise every time you move the tongue of the shoe. This actually gets louder with time and wasn't that noticeable at first. No way you could use this in any type of actual hunting scenario.
