I wanted so badly to like these! Unfortunately, they cut into my foot across the top - I don't usually have any trouble with shoes being too tight across the instep/base of the toes, but these were.

I was really excited about the hidden heel height and simple design of these, and the leather is lovely and great quality. I hoped that the "hidden elastic" would provide stretch without gathering and bunching a lot, but they ended up looking a little like a cinched trashbag around the back! I'm a 7/7.5 and exchanged for a 7 to no avail. If I had bought another half size down (6.5) the elastic probably would've stretched to look normal, but the toe box would've been too short. Returned and still on the hunt for a simple black comfortable dress shoe!

While these are great shoes with arch support there is no way I could walk all day and keep these shoes on my feet, I purposely ordered half a size down they still slip up and down on my heel, I could not go any smaller due to room in the toe box (which is roomy) but I am afraid that the length would be too short! Sadly, I have to return them, but thanks Zappos for making the return so easy!

I really liked these at first. They are comfortable, supportive, didn't slide up and down or pinch in the wrong places. But after only a year, during which I wore them only occasionally, they are all coming apart, with the leather at the front completely peeled off the toes in patches. I can't wear them to work anymore. I expected more for the money I spent.

I loooooved how these flats felt. So comfortable, except the heel! it slid off my foot because there is a little heel and the back isn't quite tall enough to stay on. That and the elastic is not tight enough. Bummer!

I have a few other pairs of Earthies shoes. These are WAY wider than the other shoes. My foot fit length-wise, but even though I chose a regular width, they felt like they were wide. So wide that the elastic wasn't even doing anything to keep them on my feet! Sadly, these have to go back and my quixotic search for black flats with arch support continues...

I love Earth shoes, but I've purchased these shoes 3 times now and they keep ripping in the toe. I do not recommend this shoe!
