I'm a big Berkinstock fan. I've bought dozens of sandals and clogs over years. They are the most comfortable shoes for me. I was looking for a shoe that was a little more formal that I could wear to work on an everyday basis and came across the Memphis. I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in this shoe. The cost is pretty high compared to other brands, but I was expecting the same feel of the Birkenstock as my other shoes. It's just not there. The footbed is much harder and I cannot stand for long periods of time in these like I can in my other Birks. They look nice and maybe there is something in the way the shoe is constructed that preclude them from using the same footbed as Birk sandals and clogs, I don't know. If you are expecting the same comfort in these that you feel in other Birks, you are likely to be as disappointed as I am.

Had high hopes for these since my Birkenstock Sandals (size 43) are the most comfortable footwear I have outside of my New Balance Running Shoes (10.5, EE). Been on the search for comfortable casual dress shoe for work. Unfortunately, these were significantly narrower than expected and were tight even before I laced them up. If you typically wear greater than D width, these might no be the shoes for you. Guess the sandals are more forgiving since they are adjustable. Oh well, the search continues...
