I was so excited to see a Birkenstock "boot"...Unfortunately, it is not "really" a Birkenstock, as it does not have the wonderful metatarsal support that the sandals have. Also, they run at least one size smaller and narrower than the typical Birkenstock sandal.

Finally, a flat, comfortable, and not hideous winter boot! I wanted a flat boot (truly flat, not a 1 inch heel that calls itself flat), with a reasonably wide toe box to accommodate my post-surgical feet. But I was hopeful I could find something cute enough to dress up. After spending hours shopping online in a "minimalist winter boot" rabbit hole, I finally found these, and they fit the bill. Not as warm as I'd hoped they would be, honestly, but better than no lining at all. I think the sole will provide traction in the snow/ice, although I don't know that they'll be warm enough (or the suede would hold up) in any seriously bad winter weather. DO size up, as others recommended; my Birk sandals are 40, and these are perfect in a 41. I agree, not quite as wide in the toe as the sandals, but still comfortable. The footbed feels a little different also, but still has a heel cup and arch-support ball. I wish they were a bit taller instead of mid-calf height. Overall pleased after trying on MANY boots. Notes: some Bogs styles have very little heel and wide toes. Try Columbia Minx Omni-Heat boots for narrow feet/toes, Merrell Decora Prelude for wide toes if you don't mind some heel, Vasque Lost 40 snow boot for a tennis shoe-on-a-mountaineering-excursion feel

I bought these boots because Birks are the only brand that 100% gives me comfort and support. I've had over 30 pair at least. That said, these are definitely slightly smaller than the sandals and mules. They are really tight - width, length and upper. I usually wear a 40 and I'm returning them for a 41. Otherwise, the sole is just like regular Birks, so they should be fantastic to wear and they seem well constructed. My only gripe (other than the size issue) is that they don't come in leather or a more stylish boot. Suede isn't the best in winter, which is when you'd probably wear these. Why do all comfortable shoes have to look so "granola"?

Got these for my mom. These are beautiful boots. The support under the arch is great, but oddly, the arch support in one of my shoes was up under the ball of my foot. I think it may have just been a fault in this one pair.

I have very wide feet and the "regular" size is perfect for me! I just had my feet measured and for the first time and found out I am double-wide...which explains why the ball of my foot and big toe joint are always sore at the end of the day...feet have been squished into normal shoes for too long. Decided to try Birkenstock, since they have a wider toe box. After the first day I felt a huge difference, no more pain! The arch support is also amazing and the heel cup. Love the style of this boot. Fairly flexible footbed but also good support and thick enough that they feel sturdy. Leather/cork footbed is keeping my feet warm on cold concrete floors at work. Love these boots!

Love these! I wear a 39 Narrow in the clogs and felt these had the same fit. I was expecting these to be heavy and clunky but was pleasantly surprised at how light weight they were. I will say if you are expecting a wider Birkenstock standard fit or a deeper cork footbed, then these might not be for you.

OMG I LOVE this shoe!! So Sad to send it back, but I needed to pick a boot that had better traction. It basically looks like a sneaker on the bottom. It was so comfy and has that classic Birkenstock sole that fits your foot perfectly. The fleece lining was SO soft and completely covered the zipper etc so nothing but soft fleece rubs against you, the suede is super nice! Fantastic super cute shoe, if I had enough money I would love to keep these, but I had to go with a boot that wasn't just cute and comfy but was actually something that would be more functional in heavy snow and ice. So sad to send you back! I'll miss you Birkenboots!!!

These are great boots. Not at all bulky or heavy, very comfortable. In regard to the size, I am a U.S. 7 and in Birkenstock Sandals a 37. I purchased these boots in a 37 and they fit perfectly.

Amazing boot to replace my Uggs. Wore these all winter with no complaints. The footbed we've come to expect from Birkenstock, good traction in snow and ice, and kept my feet warm. Love.

If you like Birkenstock, you will love these boots. Beautiful shearing and exceptionally crafted. I have a very wide calf and these fit perfectly.

These might be the most comfortable shoes/boots I have ever worn! They are very cute and look good under boot cut jeans or over skinny jeans. I have a high arch, and these boots have the traditional Birkestock arch support, which is very nice. I typically wear a 9.5 tennis shoe and have a wide foot. I ordered these in 40, and they are a perfect fit if wearing the boots with socks. Highly recommend.

Just wow. Soft real fur lining, great traction, comfort, cool looks -- it's a winner! My only small complaint is lack of cushioning, but the support and traction make up for this. By the way, had to go to three different shoe places to get a pair that wasn't oddly pressing on the top of either foot (felt defective) before Zappos came through with perfect pair. Woo hoo!

My husband ordered these for me before leaving for a business trip...so they'd arrive while he was gone (even more romantic than flowers). These. Are. Amazing. They are certainly not sexy knee high boots, but that's not what these are for. I pretty much exclusively wear Birkenstock sandals and clogs these days, and now I have this additional option to add to the mix. The fuzzy inside is only in the shaft (is it called that) of the boot, and the arch is gloriously familiar. I wore them around the house without socks, but will probably add those when wearing them out. Thank you so much Birkenstock!

I bought this, because like many people Birkenstocks are the only shoes that prevent my plantar fasciitis from flaring up. Was excited to find something to keep my feet warm as well as comfy. I wear a 9½ in just about everything and in my Gizehs and Bostons I wear a 40. I bought these in a 40 and it was too big. My heel slipped up and down when walking causing pain from the rubbing. And while I can wear either narrows (my Bostons) or regular (the Gizehs) these were way too wide for my feet. I am ordering down a size to see if that makes a difference. The materials were nice. However, the foot bed while comfortable is not the traditional deep heel cup of the regular Birkenstocks. It is not a soft foot bed either, which is good because I hate them. I think if I can get the rest of the boot to fit my foot correctly, the footbed will be fine. But do not think that you are getting a true Birkenstock footbed. It was comfortable for just standing and way better than any of my other boots as far as comfort. Most boots are just flat on the sole, so these were definitely better.

I ordered this boot hoping that I would have a great combination of a very warm UGG boot with the great arch support of a Birkenstock but unfortunately had to return it. There was absolutely no arch support at all. The footbed was as comfortable as a slipper but not comfortable enough to wear out and walk in them for a few hours. The style and warmth of the boot was great but lacked support in the footbed. If Birkenstock would make this same style of boot with the comfort of their soft footbed that they have in the Boston or Arizonas they would have an awesome boot.

Fit very well, and is build as I would expect it from Birkenstock. The only negative, I wanted a warm boot and the foot has almost no lining. The shaft is nice and warm, shearling lined, but almost nothing on the foot. Not good for Packer games in the frozen tundra!

Darn. These are so beautiful, but they’re not comfortable. I live in Birkenstock sandals, so I thought these would be a sure thing, but they’re going back. Too bad because they’re beautiful! Also, they have a zipper.

These boots run 1 size too small and are tight across the tops of the toes, and I have skinny feet.
