I ordered these for an everyday work shoe! Like all Dr. Marten's they take a second to break in. They definitely run a size bigger (I wear a 7/ordered a 6). Super stiff at first but BELIEVE ME..once they are worn a week or two straight they will be the MOST comfy work shoes! Love the rubber soles and wedged arch. I can wear casually or dressed up!

3 Stars on comfort only because we are all aware that out bodies are not symmetrical. My right ankle is a bit thicker than my left. We all know our limitations. That said, the boots are very comfortable. I am 5'3 and hate being "short". I am also 60-ish. In order to keep these wonderfully stylish boots, I just leave the right zipper down 1/2 inch. Not a bit noticeable by my presbyopian -non-contact wearing peers. I hope in time they will stretch so I can comfortably zip them all the way.

These are super super cute and I love them. They need a bit of breaking in, but all docs do. The heel fit better than any other pair of ankle boots I've bought, but the foot bed on the ball of the foot is a bit punishing. I'm thinking of getting some extra insoles for there. Quite a chunky heel, and the sole is very grippy, love them for rain or snow.

I don't know what it is about these boots but when I wear them for more than 30 minutes my toes feel squashed. I have to take them off even when I drive. They look great though. Rolled up jeans and a T shirt look.

Overall I really liked these boots. They were true to size and width for me. I had to give 3 stars for comfort because they will definitely require some additional wear before the front of the boot becomes comfortable when walking downstairs or, for example, sitting at a bar that has a foot rail – the front of the boot tends to dig in. Once you break them in, that will stop happening and they will be quire comfortable. The height was comfortable and because the heel is thick, they are very easy to walk in.

This shoe is great, feels great, and looks great, but if you're walking for a long time, the high shaft starts to rub above your ankles. It can be quite painful at first. I hope that they break in nicely and stop rubbing.

These are very true to size and not big like other reviews said. They are a bit stiff at the ankle and might need some getting used to but that is expected with any ankle boots cutting in right at the ankle height. The brown is a nice deep brown that goes nicely with jeans. They are a little heavy too but it's Dr. Martens so nothing unusual there. Definitely a nice pair of shoes!

These felt extremely heavy and clunky on the first try. Maybe I just don't have the calf and ankle strength to really rock these. However, they do look pretty chic if you can handle them!

I love the style but they are high and even with inserts my feet ache after a while. I wouldn't recommend trying to wear them to work but for a night out they are ok.

Painful but beautiful. I assume they will stretch and become more comfortable with time. Seeing as how they are leather, I expect once they are broken in, they will be a dream to wear.

Words cannot describe the amount of love I have for these shoes right now. I normally wear size 9-9.5 depending on the brand, I ordered these in a 9 and they fit amazing and still have room to spare if you want to wear thicker socks with them for warmth. No issues here with comfort or breaking them in.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS! Being under 5' I need all the height I can get, so I definitely appreciate the little boost! They are very easy to walk in and quite comfortable for such a high heel. After suffering through a painful weekend of breaking them in and getting used to the side zipper, I can now wear them all day with zero problems. Perfect with leggings, jeans, dresses. Everything! My favorite boots at the moment.

Great shoes! I always order a 7 in this brand (I'm a 7 or 7.5) and they always fit great! Even though they are high, they are very comfortable to walk in and give me the extra height I need for my dress pants for work. They look great with dress pants or jeans. High quality!

Great heels for tough treading! Looks great with slacks or skirt- they are comfortable enough but not for walking more than 5-10 minutes at a time. But standing in them all day was not bad. They're nubuck and great for fall in New England where soggy leaves make for slippery walking.

I love them! Look great, extremely comfortable, quality I expect from Doc Martens. Absolutely no regrets about buying these, they look and feel amazing. As with other Docs I had to size a complete size down. Wasn't sure if that would be true for this style as it is for the combat boot styles but it is.

At first received the US 7's and they seemed too large and too chunky and so I took a chance that these would be a better fit and they are. I'm so very happy with these boots. They give me the height that I was striving for and with the 1" stack I get height of 3 3/4" heel but it's really only 2 3/4" when I do the math. They seem to be more comfortable than the larger chunkier size and a more secure fit. They look good with leggings, shorts, skirts, and oh so good with skinny jeans.

I like the style very much. I usually wear a US 7 and they feel large and too chunky. I ordered a size smaller and just got them and they work better for me.

Really classy and replace my cheaper ASOS Monki boots that I destroyed last year. Just wish there were half sizes. I'm a 6.5 and got the "size 7"s because I knew I would wear thicker socks with these. Still, they seem more like a 7.5 versus a 7. Might need to double up with socks and tights in the colder weather.

Love the look, sturdy construction, and heel height (although maybe a smidge too tall). Great to wear with longer jeans and are very grippy in all weather conditions. However, these hurt my feet! The front of my feet will ache if I have these on all day and walk around. I am pretty tough but these are torture at times.

Beautiful leather, comfortable, true to size, durable but heavy and hard to walk in. I wear heels all the time so it is not the height. I think it has to do with the step. Makes my body tired.
