I have been buying this brand and style for several years. Unfortunately, the cotton content has decreased over the years. Although the description on Zappos says it is mostly cotton fabric, in reality there is no cotton in the fabric. The label states that it is mostly polyester. The label does state cotton. I returned the socks. Socks made of polyester slip around in my shoes causing sore spots on the balls of my feet, and do not wick moisture well. They are true to size.

Black don’t even have 1% cotton. Rough synthetic material that won’t allow your feet to get any air and will leave them all sweaty. Loved the style but got disappointed after receiving the order. Thank you zappos for your express shipping and easy returns. Always the best service!

Thin but not flimsy. Nice soft fabric that doesn't look like an athletic sock. It's a good height, too.
