Customer Reviews New Balance Kids Classics 420 (Little Kid/Big Kid)

Bought these for my son and they literally came apart in one week. I thought they looked cool. He said they felt good. After two weeks the hole that developed near the toe box grew to 3 inches wide.

These shoes didn't work my little boy. The length is correct, but they seem too shallow. If he has socks on, which of course he does, it's difficult to fasten the velcro.

My son loves these shoes, but in just a few months they completely fell apart at the seams. For us, these were just school shoes, so they weren't under heavy duress. Disappointing.

My 5 yr old son has wide feet and it's tough to find sneakers for that fit. We were excited to find that these came in a wide size for him, but they were actually much more narrow that other New Balance wide shoes. We had to return them.

These shoes are far too stiff for a 3 year old. We have always been loyal to Nike when it comes to athletic shoes because they are so light and bendable. My little guy said these felt too "tight" but he had plenty of room in the toe area. He's a borderline wide and we are basing this review on a 11.5M. I almost returned them for the W but the stiff sole just doesn't do it for us (or for growing little feet). The color combo is amazing. Wish Nike's were this cute.

Strap completely detached with only light wear. We only used these shoes for school 2 times per week (not outside play), but they fell apart in less than a month!! That's about 8 wears we got out of them, total. Hugely disappointing.
