Really delighted with this bag. Nowhere does the description mention the nifty bottle pocket featured on the side of the bag. It's very tidy and closes with a popper at the top for when you are not using it. It takes a water bottle comfortably. My Macbook fits inside so I can carry it when I need to do so for travel. The nylon fabric is tight knit and smart looking, and the inside quality is good too, my previous travel bag, a Kiplinger, fell apart at the seams. This should last better and is better to begin with. All in all it has the front pocket within which are an open topped slip pocket for cellphone and a zipped mesh pocket, and a large deep zipped pocket. the main top compartment has the large slip pocket for the laptop, a fold-over RFID safe pocket, pretty large, for important plastic, a large slip pocket for cellphone and two pen slips. All the safety features work very well, but the top zipper catch is a bit fiddly to do. front zipper slip catch is not too bad. Strap extends a nice long way for cross body wear. Bottle holder contracts and can be held close to the bag by a popper. It is otherwise a slip pocket and would also be useful for an umbrella or very small phone.

I love this handbag. I had a previous version of this bag for number of years but it was beginning to show it’s age so it was time to replace it. The new version while still having two main compartments now has several smaller pockets located within. This makes it much easier to keep items organized. It still has a side pocket for a water bottle. The fact that it has security features built in is the one of the reasons I purchased this bag. Occasionally I travel with a tablet and this Pacsafe bag makes it easy to carry my tablet or even a small computer.

From a frequent traveler who doesn’t check bags - This is a review of six different items, all of which I purchased, but I returned three of them. Below are the reasons for my choices, which surprised me once I actually saw the items, and how they are working together for me. I travel extensively, domestically and internationally, and almost never check any items through. I usually travel with a briefcase and a small backpack, using careful packing but always having plenty of what I need. These items will also be replacing an extremely old Pacsafe item, that I’ve used to substitute for a purse or shoulder bag even though it was sold as a waist pack, and had very many compliments on the great “purse“! My new items were purchased with the intent to provide greater flexibility for my professional and non-professional travel. The Citysafe CS200, Daysafe crossbody, and Stylesafe convertible crossbody look really fabulous, and when I first pulled them out of the bag I was certain I would be choosing one of them. In fact, I put the Citysafe CX Hobo back into the shipping box almost as soon as I unloaded it, thinking it wasn’t useful. However, when I then tried loading my usual travel gear into each of the first three, briefcase type bags, things didn’t really fit nearly as well as they did in my old small Tumi briefcase. I wanted something that would substitute as both a purse and a briefcase, but these didn’t do the job. I then pulled the Hobo back out of the box, and everything fit with lots of room to spare. The Hobo has one concern for me. The straps don’t stay put well on a slippery raincoat shoulder, but if I use the cross body option that strap seems very flimsy, one that could easily be cut. However, although it is not designed for this purpose, a thin person could fit the lockable heavy strap around your waist, and take some of the weight off the cross body strap as well as lock the bag more securely to your body. I can do this only if I don’t have a coat on, but a thinner person could probably do it easily without too much stress on the hardware. However, this thinner strap has a huge silver lining! The silver lining has to do with the small bags, and I’m keeping both of them. The square bag is more casual, but the hardware appears dressy but sporty. It has a fair amount of room for a small bag. The strap is a bit heavy, but it’s great as a cross body bag in the city. The small cross body bag, which looks much dressier and can easily be an evening bag that looks like silk, cannot fulfill that dressy purpose with the heavy strap. That strap really just looks too heavy for this bag in general. If using it in an insecure environment, it would be a good idea, of course. I had hoped I would be able to easily remove the heavy strap so that I could carry one heavy strap to use for both of the small bags, and then use the light weight easily cuttable strap (from the Hobo) just for the dressy bag. However, the heavy strap on both of these small cross body bags is stitched at one end. Therefore, this is my solution, and if the way I use these pieces changes, I will post again later. I’m using the Hobo as my main travel bag, that can function as a briefcase when needed professionally, and as a tote when needed for shopping,. I will not use the thin cross body strap (from the Hobo) except when traveling through airports, where I feel more safe. However, I will also use that lightweight strap on the small cross body bag that looks more dressy. On the small cross body bag, I have actually cut the stitching so I can remove the supplied heavy strap from that more delicate appearing bag. I am keeping the heavy strap on the more casual square cross body bag, and I will use that when I need a small bag in a less secure environment. I’m excited about this combination, and expect it to do very well for summer and winter trips!

I have 5 Pacsafe items and the smaller version of this bag, the Citysafe LS200 which is no longer made. This bag is MUCH larger. My plans were to use it as my shoulder bag carry-on for international travel but it's much too large. I didn't even unwrap the bag, took 2 looks and put it right back in the box for return. But if this is the size bag you want, you can't go wrong it's an amazing bag and the high reviews are valid.

Need a bag for travel with plenty of pockets and room for books. This fits the bill. One large main pocket will take my small MacBook laptop, wallet and three or more paperbacks. It has an RFID pocket and a large phone pocket. Also a divider to put between computer and other clutter. Nifty expandable pocket on end of bag will take water bottle and keep it secure, smaller pocket on front of bag has plenty of room for more books and stuff, plus zip mesh pocket and large zip pocket and a phone pocket large enough for large iPhone. There's also a key fob in the bag to keep keys easily available. All this plus the safety features, and it's made of good quality nylon with a good quality gray interior to help find stuff more easily.. My last bag split at the seams and frayed, not well enough made. Really pleased with this, like the classy cranberry color and I intend to use it every day.
