Really impressed with these pants. Bought these for a ski trip to Colorado and looks like they'll do just fine. Light, comfortable, good fit. A little baggy and they do seem to run long. Luckily there's an option to choose inseam length, which is great.

Bought these for my teenage son who is tall (long-legged) and skinny. Not only are these long enough (Thank you North Face!), but they are stylish enough for a teenage guy to wear.

I'm 5'11" 205lbs and normally am a 36 waist. I first got the large regular size. Found that the waist was probably the proper fit but the inseam I felt was way too long. So I went with the extra large short and think they fit perfect but I like baggy pants. They keep me warm skiing in Minnesota winters.

The Freedom pant provides plenty of room to move without the traditional fit issues of a "roomy" ski pant. Lightweight, rugged and warm. :0)

Nice, thick pants. Will be great for Alaskan winter activities. Only con is they are slightly longer than anticipated.

Asphalt gray is practically black, but looks good. Material feels high quality, waterproof and strong. Level of insulation feels good for those like me who only want to own one pair of ski pants and will ski utah, colorado, etc. a few times Dec-Mar. Will be warm enough with a base layer on very cold days, and with vents open, not too bad on warm days (maybe a little warm). My gripe is that these are very baggy - I'm 6'3", 190, 34-inch waste - I ordered a large per the clever sizing tool's instruction, and I'm swimming in these. Regular sizing chart says I may be a medium, but given how huge/baggy the L is, I'm not even going to bother. Regular length was okay. While some may prefer the baggy look, I'm returning and looking for a trimmer cut.

I bought these as a gift for my boyfriend and he can't stop telling me how much he likes them! We went on our first skiing trip with them and they held up great and kept him warm and dry.

Used them over the holidays. Great performance and a better value. I get cold easily, so this hit the target over the uninsulated pants.

The Freedom Insulated Pant lives up to The North Face reputation for providing quality ski wear. The pants were paired with The North Face Triclimate Ski Jacket. The pant and jacket is durable and comfortable to wear with sufficient pocket space. On a recent holiday trip that included skiing and a run on Olympic bobsled run I found both the jacket and pant to be a winning combination.

Bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas. The fit was great and the insulation is warm without bulk. Bought the Patagonia M series insulated pants for way more money and wound up returning and getting these. These are better quality for a much better price. Definitely recomend to future buyers!

My husband is 5'4" and regular length ski pants are too long on him and drag on the ground and he steps on them with his ski boots which ultimately start to rip. These pants are the perfect length and he said they are warm and very comfortable. Great purchase!!

Fit: I bought the small size w/ regular inseam - I'm 6'1" with long legs (usually a 31/34 or 32/34) and this size fits perfectly.
Performance: I wore these out on the slopes last weekend (temps were in the mid 30s) with just a cotton base layer underneath and I was completely comfortable.
Very happy with this purchase

I love TNF and they have been my primary clothing company for all things outdoors for 21 years. I purchased the insulated Freedom pants online and they arrived quickly. I wore them for the first time last Thanksgiving weekend at Whistler and the pocket zipper seam tore from the pant leg. I have never experienced this kind of poor product integrity in over 20 years using TNF. with that being said, I went into TNF store in Bellevue WA and the store manager Kristin Hansen gave me many options to resolve the issue in time for my trip to Lake Tahoe this coming weekend. she was able to take my defective pants and have care send me a new pair, overnighted and in time for my next ski trip.
I dont forecast having any further isssues, as I said before, this is a first time something like this has happened. customer care and Kristin made the experience tolerable(for having to drive to their location and deal with this).

These are great fitting pants and very warm. They do what they are supposed to do (i.e. keep you warm and dry with style!). I love these pants and would definitely purchase again!

The pants are a little more green than the picture leads on. But other than that. These pants a a great choice. They run a little big. Fairly long. I Might be short but I'm not sure. I like them a lot. Should be great when I finally hit the slopes.

Men's Freedom Insulated Pants give warmth. Water resistant. You can wear other clothing underneath if you buy them big enough. Or you can simply wear baselayer items underneath and still feel the warmth in cold climates.

These pants are well made and fit great in the waist and length. Use the "fit finder" here on the TNF site if you're not sure about sizing.
I'm returning them though. This is obviously personal choice, but I can't deal with the flared leg opening. Good ski pants have to fit over your boots, but these take it to the extreme. They're more like bell bottoms. Too much for me. Aside from that, it's all positive.
