I was at Alyeska today and it rain the whole times I was there. I had on the northlake jacket from (Ride) and this pant, the difference in water proof was proving in just 15 minutes. As I look at the jacket it was already start to show sign of being wet and soaking thru the surface while the north face let those drops of rain run along and when I was done for the day my bottom was dry as can be and the top, you guessed I was soaking wet. I own many jackets from TNF and I love them all.

These are the perfect ski/snowboard pants. Warm and waterproof, but lightweight. They even have vents in the legs for warm spring skiing days.

These pants are awesome. I use them to ski and sled with my kids. They are light weight, comfy, and keep me warm in Wyoming's harsh environment. I also slip them on when I have to go outside and shovel snow. They do the trick every single time. This might sound weird, but I love that my pants are navy blue. I'm one of those people who pretty much wears the same color everything all day every day. The North Face always has a great selection of navy blue products. Thank you!

I brought this pant for my March 2018 Iceland trip. With 30 inches waist, S size fit me well and the length is perfect. But, because I have to wear extra under layer, I end up need to get an M and return the S, S is just too tight with extra under layer. I live in Hawaii, so, cold weather is non exist. I am glad that I brought this. When I stand outdoor at mid night taking photo of Northern Light at 20 degree F, this keep me warm (with my under layer pants) Iceland weather change very fast, one day it was 18 degree with 40 MPH wind, we went to the back sand beach, it keep me warm and dry. I am 5'-6", while M side fit me well with all the under layer pants, the pant is too long. I have to spend $20 to alternate it to fit me perfect, if i did not alternate it, I will be stepping on my pant and fall. Overall, I will recommend this. The wrist has this adjustable velcro which is great and provide extra adjustment.

The pants are high quality. Seams are well made, cuts are precise. However the orange color is disappointing. It's very "vintage" orange. Looks fade. The pants size too big. The North Face size finder tool, based and my actual Levi's jeans size, told me to get L and that's what I ordered. I had to return it and get a M. Which is still too big and too long. This standard fit looks more like a relaxed one actually.

I bought these for a trip I am planning to Antartica. had to return the pants as the size was way too big, almost 2-3 times my normal medium.

Recently worn them on a ski trip to Mont Tremblant Canada and they were very warm. The pockets are fleece lined which kept my phone warm enough not to shut off bc of the cold.

My husband was adamant that he didn't want snow pants for snowboarding; he thought they'd be too warm and bulky. I ordered these and they happened to arrive in a snowstorm, so he wore them snowboarding that night. They're the absolutely perfect weight: Not too warm with lightweight athletic pants underneath in warmer ski temperatures, but with nice insulation for colder days. He was pleased with pocket placement and the leg vents to use to cool off if he does get too warm. They also have a very high-quality feel and a fashionable look.

I skied one week in these over spring break 2018 Taos. I'm 52 and didn't wipe out too much or sit in the snow Long, but they were fine without a base layer on the lifts and making turns.

best thing.. they come in short length. Not too many snow pants come in a shorter length. Not to baggy either.

PROS - Great for skiing/snowboarding.Material is seems VERY durable. Glad that it is available in SHORT inseams. Particularly appreciated is the adjustable waist band that supplements the belt loops. Double button waist closure PLUS a patch of hook & pile to keep the pants from popping open when bending over such as when tucking into a schuss. Incredible ventilation via the zip-open vents. CONS - the single thigh pocket could use a zipper to keep things from falling out. The hook & pile flap over the pocket could still allow things to fall out. A BACK pocket would be nice

I wanted to wait to rate these pants until I had a chance to get out skiing in them. Well I'm thoroughly impressed, not only with the pants but with North Face's online sizing/ shopping cart. I was blown away that their site actually had my favorite jeans listed for sizing comparison. The moment I put these on, they fit like a glove. Slightly loose on the waist at first, but the velcro straps on the side allow you to adjust for your base layer, whether you have shirts tucked in beneath or not. At first I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a back pocket, but once I was on the lift, I realized the pocket placement is perfect for access while you're riding up the mountain. The velcro flap cargo pocket fits my iPhone 7plus in a case just fine, with lightning fast access. I'm constantly reaching for my phone to check in with friends between runs and snapping quick pics. My most recent trip, I was actually filming while skiing, which is a challenge. I was constantly bending and twisting around with the camera, trying to follow the action from nearly a seated position, to fully committed carving and these pants allowed me to move without restricting me. I gave them a solid run for two full days of skiing and filming and I'm so glad they were part of my gear.
