With a half dozen trips to the mountain in these pants it is now time to offer a few thoughts. I am a long time tele skier and I require a pant that will allow for easy articulation in the knees and thighs and a comfortable range of motion. TNF's Freedom Pants deliver on their name. The loose cut of the pants allow for a deep drop into my turns without needing to adjust the pant afterwards (I use a belt but you might be happy without one). The fabric is effective against the wind and provides ample protection in wet snow. While I have used these pants at lift assist areas, I look forward to taking them into the backcountry and am confident that their venting system will serve me well when skinning. I am 5"11 and 200 lbs with a 36 waist and purchased the large (I tried the xl but sent it back as it was far too roomy) and I am very pleased with the spot-on fit. One nice additional touch is the single cargo pocket for quick access to odds and ends. In short, I am very pleased with my purchase.

I bought these for my husband, but the ended up being a little to tight around his butt and hips. He is short 5'5" and 190lbs. I was worried the XL would be too big so I bought L. Other than the size issue, these pants are really nice.

Awesome pants. Love the fact you get to pick your inseam. Then you don't have your ski pants dragging in the slushy muck! Great pants.

Great pants that add a lot of warmth but able to be climate controlled! Perfect high rise on the waist so you aren't worried about snow getting up your back.

Nice fit. Good length even for taller people. Very comfortable and non restrictive

Snowboarding. Tall 6'5" athletic man. Very comfortable and water resistant. Good waist strap. Highly recommended.

Very versatile pants

I AM 5.10" TALL AND WEIGHTS 160 LBS AND SLIM BUILT AND IT FITS ME PERFECTLY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO MY GOOD FRIENDS IF NEEDED. I WISH IF THEY HAVE MADE DOUBLE POCKETS AT THE BACKSIDE WITH ZIP BUT THERE IS NONE.

Snowboarding. Four days of powder riding so far in temps down to 0F, and the pants are perfect. The color matches my two year old TNF Apex jacket. Love it!

I use these pants to go snowboarding - very comfortable to wear and keeps me warm and dry.

I used these pants on the ski slopes under 10 degree weather. They were comfortable and warm. I originally had ordered a medium but they were too big even though my waist size is 31-32 inches. I called customer service and they took my order for a small and sent to me by Fed Ex without charging me extra. I returned the medium and got a refund. I was afraid the small pants would be too short since I am 6'1" but they were only about 0.5 inch shorter than I would like. It worked out since I used them for skiing.

I am 6'8" 270 pounds, 40" waist 36" inseam. Other brands of ski pants that are advertised as "tall" well that is a crock of bull. These appear and feel to have a longer rise and of course the longer inseam important features for us tall guys. For me it was a XXL Long, hopefully this will help someone else.

The men's freedom pants is a product that I could rely on. The weather was quite chilly and rainy when I purchased this product. I was able to wear them without any under-layering underneath this product while keeping me very warm. When the rain arrived this product protected me from the elements. The freedom pants kept me dry like the Sahara. In the future, I would like to see maybe an additional pocket added in the rear and or maybe on the left thigh area of the product.

Great product. As far as pants for the winter and the northeast weather they are exactly what I wanted. North face always on top of their game

The men's pants in my opinion is amazing, comfortable and light, it has a very fashionable design along with its high technology for protection against the cold and also improves the perspiration of the skin while I walked, jogged, jumped and things like that. It's amazing and for that reason, I recommend it.

Great ski pants and LOVE that they come in Tall sizes. These fit me perfect and will be used for years to come!

I am literally wearing this pants right now while writing this review on a bus tour in Iceland. I am so glad that I bought this pants for this trip. It kept me warm so far and very comfortable to wear. I've been wearing it with a liner to all our tours. I would buy it again!
