I have permanent irreversible damage from a fractured ankle. It is very painful to walk on. I am a nurse, and these are the best shoes I have tried since breaking my ankle. The way my foot sits in the shoe and the cushion is very good.

A coworker recommended Hoka brand shoes to me. She is a runner and hiker and takes care of her feet. I am on my feet all day at work, walking on uneven terrain and need a comfortable shoe. I like this shoe! It supports my high arches, doesn't rub anywhere and at the end of the day my feet aren't tired and sore. I especially like that they have an all black shoes so I can wear them with all color pants to work. The only thing I don't really like is the gray design on top of the shoe. Ever time I look down at my feet the design reminds me of a coat hanger! But I can live with that because they are so comfy.

If you are looking for a good walking shoe, this is it. I have been wearing these for a few years now. Recently I tried Addiction walkers, there was way to much strain on my knees with those. The Hoka Ones are truely the best. I looked and could not find an all around cushion shoe , better than these. They do run a size smaller, trust me on this. So get a size bigger for the right fit.

These are great shoes. A little bulky but that means a lot of protection between my sore feet and the road. As with all Hoka's they provide a highly cushioned ride.

This shoe was recommended by my Physical Therapist because of the arch support and cushion. These are great shoes. I tore my Achilles tendon and have bone on bone in the other ankle. They provide the support I need desperately. The shoe did irritate my neuromas but I just widend the laces. That solved the problem. I now have 2 pairs. Now Hoka just needs to make a cool sport boot then I would really be in Hoka Heaven.

My feet have been happy in these shoes. I bought them before a recent 2 week vacation that involved serious walking every day, as well as air and rail trips and schlepping luggage. I'm old, and so are my feet. I'm developing bunions and have some toe problems that are the legacy of old injuries. These shoes have a stable heel, but feel a bit like rocker sole shoes, in that they are well cushioned and also protect the forefoot from pressure when walking. The forefoot and toe area of these shoes are comfortable and roomy, while the heel is not too wide, and fits snugly. The finish and materials are good quality.

Having several medical issues in both feet, it was a blessing to find these sneakers. These are the most comfortable sneakers I have ever owned. I HIGHLY recommend these sneakers.

Sole is so much harder than my other 4 Hokas that I'm returning it. I've gotten spoiled by the springy feel of most models of this brand and this is simply too stiff to keep my plantar fasciitis comfy. Otherwise up to the usual quality. Would've like the leather for winter, but I can't tolerate a hard sole on my shoes. Not even my orthotics could make these work.

Love these shoes! No more heel pain with these. I usually wear an 8 1/2 in tennis shoes or sneakers but an 8 is big enough for me, even with my orthotics inserted. The toe box has plenty of room. These are the only shoes I wear. Stop purchasing cheap shoes and spend a little extra money, you won't be disappointed. I also love that you can purchase all white, since I'm not into crazy colors but if you are, there are many choices.

I have not gotten these shoes yet but when paid, I will be purchasing them. Thank you to the person who shared that she has/had a Morton's Neuroma. I had a very bit Morton's Neuroma that was removed and my other Hoka Ones are out of their prime. I need and actual walking shoe and you all have me convinced to try this shoe. My other foot has had major surgery and it too needs some serious comfort and support. I can't wait until I get my paycheck. Thanks for the reviews...

Most comfortable sneaker I've tried in a long time. Also bought the black synthetic version which ran a little smaller than the leather ones.

These shoes are amazingly light given the thickness of sole. They felt comfortable from the first moment, and make life a lot easier for my knees and ankles.

Really like these shoes. I have had one knee replacement and need a second one. My knee hurts and it is hard to walk. These shoes are wonderful I can walk all day in them.

I love the cushioning of the hokas in general, but I have wide feet and a high instep, and it's a constant struggle to find a model that isn't too narrow. The Valor appears to be cut a little wider and with a higher volume, and so far, it's been comfortable to walk in. I'm not a runner, so I can't speak to how well it would work for that, in terms of the weight. It doesn't feel heavy to me. The heel is a little loose, and I wish it had an extra hole in the lacing system so I could do a runner's tie, which might help to tighten it just that little bit. I wanted leather so I could wear it in winter and perhaps waterproof it as well.

Love Hokas! Have several foot issues and my Hokas keep them at bay. The leather is warmer for the winter months.

I really wanted to love this shoe, and it has many wonderful qualities, but sadly I must return it. The cushy sole is wonderful but the inside of the shoe all around is curved too much so the curved inside digs into my instep. I thought it was the molded inserts so I removed them and the shoe still hurts along the instep. When I looked closer there is a pronounced curve along the outline of the shoe where the upper meets the sole. I am sure this was intended to cradle and center your foot in the shoe but every shoe maker has their own unique shoe last - some fit best on feet which are nearly straight (big toe directly in front of the heel), and some fit best on feet which are somewhat curved (big toe sits to the inside of the heel). The last they used apparently is not right for my feet as the curve hit me right in the instep just in front of my heel which was more painful than I would have imagined. I stood and walked back in the shoes a long time, thinking I could "get used" to it but that just made the pain worse. Sadly I will be returning them.

The all leather is nice but makes much heavier shoes than expected from Hoka. These are good sturdy comfortable shoes. If you want something lighter in weight, then these shoes are nit for you. Try the Hoka Valor.

The shoes were too narrow for my custom orthotics, even though they were made to fit a "B" width and that is what I bought. This is my 2nd pair of Hoka shoes; I returned the first pair because they didn't fit me right either. Guess I'm stuck with these since I wore them outside!

I work for a delivery company and am in and out of a truck 100+ times a day and work an average of 50 hours a week. The first week they were great. Now the soles are coming apart from the shoes and the insoles are already shot and it's been about 6 weeks. Not worth the money, my feet hurt every night.

These felt very soft and cushy, and easy on the knees. The leather seemed very soft, but was not so comfortable. Compared to Brooks, toe box was more narrow and pointy, but tall, so both squeezed by toes and buckled leather into an uncomfortable crease across my toes, when stride rolled onto toes. Also the heel part seemed tall and stiff. I could not imagine working out or running in these. I will return them.

I wanted to love this shoe. I've had knee injuries in the past year and so my running is starting to look like a thing of the past. I thought this looked like a good walking shoe from Hoka, but oh gosh it's so stiff. Very light weight but it's like walking on short planks. It doesn't flex with the foot.

This is the ugliest show I've ever seen. It's more than "industrial" in looks. The sole is very thick , but it is very HARD. The shoe itself is hard too. Because of that it didn't touch my feet yet it hurt my feet! There is no support that you would expect from a shoe with such a thick sole. I am very disappointed, and within 5 minutes of its arrival at my house, I had packed it back up and can't wait to take it to the UPS store. I am exchanging it for a Saucony Progrid SE 2. I've worn Saucony before but it was for overpronators, and since I don't overpronate, that shoe made my legs hurt because they were forced out of alignment. I had to even wait for the ugly Hoka One One in my size! I can't imagine why anyone would want it. It felt like a block of wood was strapped onto my feet. HORRIBLE SHOE.
I'd also recommend:
Merrell, Brooks, Mephisto. Brooks doesn't make an acceptable LEATHER shoe.
