Customer Reviews KUHL Burr™ Lined Jacket

I'm familiar with the Kuhl brand, and have purchased their Impakt jacket before. I was expecting the same fit and feel with this, and wasn't disappointed for the most part. The fit doesn't lean particularly on either the trim or baggy side. I found size M to be perfect for me, and I'm 5'8"/160 lb. You can easily layer a sweater underneath this jacket for additional warmth if need be. I'm fine in 30F weather with just a thermal long sleeve shirt underneath, which is fantastic! My only gripe is that the lower outer pockets are fairly shallow. I could barely fit my hands in them! The internal security pocket and external chest pocket are better. What was confusing for me was that the Impakt jacket has very deep lower side pockets. Regardless, I've decided to keep the jacket, since it looks and feels great. I've recently emailed Kuhl with my concerns regarding the pockets, and am awaiting their response.

I live in Boston and walk constantly (walk my dog and walk to work), so I needed something warm and fairly weather resistant. This jacket has fit the bill perfectly. I have been comfortable this fall down to the lower 30's, and it has been perfect in the rain. The fleece lined collar is great, and the jacket comes down in the back a bit further than others. I would prefer the pockets to be a bit deeper. The fit is fairly slim. I am 6'1" and 190 and wear a Large.

I purchased this jacket in Raven XL for my husband - early Christmas gift. He is 6' 250 pounds, the XL fit with room for 1-2 layers underneath. He loves it. We have yet to pre-wash, no info on quality. A nice looking jacket for the casual man.

A nice looking jacket, but with a problem! If you place the jacket in contact with any light fabric or leather surface, such as a car seat or armrest, it will leave dye behind that is difficult to clean up. The jacket is also fairly heavy and stiff.

I have the original burr jacket and it's great. This adds a little bit of warmth to it. Nice for colder days
