I'm so happy with these shoes. I love the stylish patent leather. They're super comfortable. I have arch issues and don't need to replace the inside with my usual arch insert. I have a long and large big toe so the toe box in these is snug. I bought size 10, which is my normal size. I probably should go up half a size but Zappos is out of stock of the 10.5 and I'd have to switch to the non-patent style. I prefer the patent. I have narrow feet and the 10 fits great width-wise. Besides, for some reason shoes often get wider when you jump to 10.5. Don't know why but it's annoying. I don't know if that would be true for Ahnu but I wanted the patent style. When I switched a thinner tights-like sock the toe box was fine. So I'm keeping them!

Very stylish shoe. The white sole makes it stand out from the usual black oxford. Just like the other reviews, it really is comfortable. Beware when handling the laces, as it is on the patent leather part because that area scratches easily. I literally lightly grazed my thumb on it, and there was an indent mark on the patent leather. Not noticeable to others, but bothersome to oneself! Runs true to size, however, with oxfords I tend to order a half size down, and I'm glad I did with this one as well. Sneakers are a different story. Just make sure you know your fit with different styles of shoes.

As a mother of three young children, I NEVER treat myself to anything, let alone spend this much on a pair of shoes, but when I saw them I just fell in love with them as I love oxford style shoes and figured I could always return them if I didn't like them...but that was not the case. They fit so well and were so flipping comfortable and now I'm trying to find any excuse to wear them out! They are very versatile and can dress an outfit up or down! Can't wear to wear them to a New Years Eve party next week!! Highly recommend!

These were my go-to shoes for sight-seeing around NYC! They were fabulous! I have a VERY high arch and I wish these had a bit more support there but my feet were still happy after 8 miles of walking the first day. Final verdict: Soft, supportive, stylish!

I've been looking for a trendy, comfortable oxford and this is it! 'Love the look - the first day I wore them I got tons of compliments from people of all ages (I'm a teacher). They are very comfortable with a soft sole. The leather and the patent leather together look great (I was worried about the shine of the patent but it's not "over the top"). They were a little snug width-wise but loosened up by the end of the day so I think I'll be able to use my orthopedics with them (I am a slightly wide-medium). Size 8 was a true size 8. Wear with thin socks. It would be great to have in another color like burgundy!

I love the style of this shoe and was eager to purchase it in several colors, but the toe section is too thin for me to wear my orthotic. The width of the shoe is fine, but the height of the toe section is too low/too thin. I ordered my regular size and a size up to see if that would help, but it did not. I am very, very disappointed. Please tell Ahnu and perhaps they will make a roomier toe box.

Love love love these shoes! Super hip looking and most importantly, they were comfortable without socks on Day 1! I've received compliments from a variety of people and love having them this fall.

These shoes are super comfortable. I got them out of the box and tried them on. While at first, they are a little stiff and you need to loosen up the laces, they then slip on easily. I walked around the house and found them so comfortable already, I took my dog for a 2+ mile walk in them without getting any blisters at all even without socks. Thereafter, they only get more and more comfortable. The only complaint I have is that if you go to the Ahnu website, it indicates that a different color pair of shoe laces is also supposed to come with them. I've written to Ahnu through its website to see if they will send me some cream/white shoelaces which I think will look really cool. I've only had these shoes for less than one week and they are already in the suitcase making the trip to Sweden, Denmark and Iceland with me! These shoes were made for walking!!

These are my new favorite black shoes. They have a bit of stretch fabric at the heel for a tight fit without rubbing. The patent leather and tan soles give them a bit more flair than a typical oxford shoe. I will buy these again if they come out with more colors!

I get compliments on these each time I wear them. The shoes are incredibly comfortable, and you get the oxford look in a feminine style. Recommend.

Very comfortable shoe! I have walked miles in these and no breaking in needed. They are also super cute and garner lots of complements as the patent leather touches make them stand out a bit in style.

I ordered my second pair of these after wearing the first pair almost daily to work for years. They were so comfortable and I got so many complements on them! Unfortunately, this replacement pair do not fit the same as the original pair - they are narrower and not immediately comfortable like the first pair. I suspect the manufacturer has changed, but I'm not sure. Sending them back to restart the hunt for a comfortable pair that can we worn for 10+ hours/day.
