I have been buying NB shoes for over 30 years. The MW810>813 model has been one of my mainstays. I have worn size 2A width for as long as I have worn New Balance shoes. At present I wear men's size 14-2A and there are only 2 models left in that width and unfortunately the MW813 is not one of them. The MW813 in a B width works if one uses an insole and tightens up the laces. Bring back the 2A width in more shoe models!

I bought this shoe (model 813) based on it having the type of sole that I wanted (non- or modified- lug), the rollbar stability, a boxier toe area, the overall look, and a middle price.(I figured I could add water resistance myself.) I returned the shoes, though, for one simple reason: my heel slid up & down in the heel cup of the shoe (which would have led to blisters and bunched-up socks). The forward angle of the heel cup is visibly less than in other of my New Balance shoes, which no doubt resulted my problem. I have no idea whether anyone else's foot will do the same, so its nearly impossible to rate the shoe in any meaningful way using the star method.

These shoes are very comfortable. They provide great support.

I do like the quick closure shoes. Put your shoes on, pull the strap and you are on your way. They do stay in place. I exercise daily very hard and they do NOT come loose. Very happy

Light, but sturdy...easy to the stride...comfortable, yet secure...the support gives you confidence when you walk....a very cushioned step...light to the touch and much much more...

Wish the 847 came in all leather ,and brown also. For me the 813 is better than 928 and 1300

These are comfortable shoes and they wear well. We used to buy the tan color as they went well with shorts and pants. See they have tan in women's, what happened to tan in men's. Still like the shoe, disappointed with the colors.

They are comfortable , light weight , well made for the price ,Yes I would recommend them for anyone who is on there feet all day.

I really wanted a new pair of NB 928 walking shoes (I've had three pairs), but after all of the reviews warning that the 928 had been redesigned -- for some reason NB fixed something that wasn't broken -- and now was running tight and uncomfortable, I settled on NB 813. The 813 is not as good-looking as the 928 but is not bad looking either and fits well and is comfortable. I would recommend this shoe to anyone who doesn't want to chance the 928.

I haven't had these shoes a year and they appear to be disintegrating just above the sole. The sole is peeling off.

For me this shoe represents the best balance between cost and comfort/performance.

Same shoe as my brown laced 813s except for the Velcro and the color. I bought the gray because white gets dirty looking so quickly and is hard to keep looking new. The gray was a compromise, but the color is growing on me and I'm getting used to the "old man" looks of the Velcro. I must say that the Velcro is more convenient than laces; you can quickly adjust the fit without the fuss of evening up laces. Because of my weight and bad knees, I only buy NB models that feature Rollbar. The lateral support is much better than other brands, and they don't break down as quickly as other shoes I've owned.

I have a wide foot and New Balance keeps changing their products. So, off I go again to find a shoe that fits. This can be a test of nerves. This time I started with the 928V2, a new version of the 928s I have. The new 928V2s are now running narrow, to say the least. I was directed to two other models and I picked the 813. What a nice shoe, true to size and fits great. I use the shoes for everyday walking, shopping and love the white laced ones I purchased. I will buy these again.

Been using these shoes for my son since they were 811.. Like the construction and support.also the fact that they are universally white with no other added color accents...really prefer the original soles with the light blue strip down the center but I suppose the new design is intended to be better!

I had a problem with the last pair I purchased when the sole separated from the bottom of the shoe on both shoes. I had never had that problem before. I am hoping that the most resent pair I purchased performs better.

Shoes are comfortable. However, the straps could be about 1/2 shorter as they tend to snag pants leg at the bottom and it looks geeky.

the shoe is O K but not as good as older models if you do like my answer don't rear it

nice tight fit makes for an easy stride. feels light weight on your feet.

I have a hard to fit foot, not that long but very wide at the front. These shoes fit but still put pressure across the base of my little toe. Because they are leather uppers, I hope that eventually they will stretch out and no longer have this issue. This Is taking longer than I had hoped for. I had hoped that the 6E width would be wide enough to not have this issue, and they almost are, but I cannot wear a larger size without too much clearance in the front (for a walking shoe).

Only one negative remark about the shoe. The straps are too long and the excess strap hangs over an inch beyond the closer point.

just got shoe, a little tight at 4e, why don't u make them in 6e?

I've purchased men's walking sneekers model 813 in the past and really liked their feel and quality -- this pair I ordered and received are okay - just not as comfortable as I've was expecting -- don't know if they are manufacture d in the same way - or what the difference is - I doubt I will order online again - I prefer to purchase in a shoe store where they are fitted - and get a chance to wear -- unfortunately the store I used for years - sold their location and moved to a more distant location - and smaller quarters with fewer varieties to choose from. I've enjoyed the New Balance for many years -- but will now look for an alternate brand and hopefully one who manufactures in the USA --

Have worn NB for at least past 25 years, as American made and wide/ex wide widths. Historically have been satisfied. Last 2 pairs purchased in 2022 have disappointed.

I loves these shoes. I wear them all the time. Please do not quit making this style.
