I bought these boots for a 1600 mile motorcycle trip I went on. We rode in 95f heat also in a 1/2 day rain. The boots performed fantastic keeping my feet dry and comfortable. Good job Timberland!

I really wanted to like these boots, but more importantly I wanted to have dry feet during this winter. Unfortunately, these boots are very much not waterproof. I have been wearing them about a month and I already have soggy feet. I is a shame, because they are pretty comfortable now that I have broken them in a bit.

I was skeptical ordering work shoes because this was a first for me. I am a delivery driver for an Amazon DSP and needed something waterproof, that I could run in (my choice, I’m not required to actually run the packages) and slip resistant. I’ve also never bought a mens shoe before but I wear a 7-7.5 in womens and the 6 fits perfect! I was worried the boot top and tongue would come up too high and hit my leg and get irritated but these don’t. They’re lightweight so they don’t weigh me down when I run a package up a driveway. It hasn’t rained hard since I’ve gotten them so we shall see how waterproof they are when it does and I’ll update my review. They look just like expected, black.

I purchased these work boots for my Dad, and he's super picky. He loves them and says they're so comfortable and even got compliments when wearing these.Definitely needed if you're on your feet all day. They look great too.

I bought this boot to go jogging in, but it's way to fancy and feels good so I wear it to work.

I absolutely love these boots!! They're so comfortable they feel like I'm walking on a cloud. I'm an officer in a school and I have long hours on my feet and these boots are the best even though the tongue is attached on the sides which can be a problem for someone like me with a high instep it's no problem at all in these boots.

Wasn't sure if I would like these boots as I am used to the 8 inch. However I am very pleased with the comfort and support. My feet don't sweat, they are water proof, and get great traction.

Ugliest work boots I ever bought. I have been wearing Merrells hiking boots simply because I am on my feet all day and walk 10 plus miles daily. I did the research to find a boot that would make my feet feel comfortable even though I have Plantar Fasciitis and each time there were different boots listed, but always a Timberland brand as well. These boots are quick to break in, and comfortable to wear. If you suffer from PF, consider trading in your current boots and trying this pair out. Its no fashion statement, but my feet sure feel better after a long day!

Let me start with the PROS: these boots are comfortable, look great, and keep my feet dry.
Now for the more important CON: these boots are NOT slip-resistant. We have had a very icy and snowy winter in Chicago and I have already lost count how many times I have slipped and nearly fallen on duty.
The flaw appears to be the tread pattern on the sole which has a very large and smooth surface area. I owned the previous version of the Valor 5 inch duty boot for over 2 years and never experienced these slipping issues. Then again, the tread on the old version was very different.
If you live in a warm climate, then this would be a great boot for you. But if you know you will have to deal with winter elements in these boots, beware. They are treacherous on ice.

The leather is paper thin and not durable. After less than a year both boots have tears in the leather and the leather on one even began to detache from the sole
