These are great boots! Really rich, dark, soft, oiled leather, and they look really solid/well made. I think they look good with dresses as well as jeans. I've walked miles at a time in them already and they are really comfortable. I haven't walked in snow yet but I have walked through tons of rain and my feet stayed dry. I am usually a 7 or 7.5 but I went with an 8 - more for the width than length (I have wide feet), plus I wanted to account for heavy socks, which are necessary for Cleveland winters. However, if your feet are a normal width they are completely true to size. The calves are a tad wide for my scrawny legs, and even have a little stretch in them if you needed wider. Overall, if you need a riding style boot that is comfortable, waterproof, and nearly knee length, check em out!

These are definitely the most comfortable boots that I have owned! I walk a lot, and these have never once hurt my feet, and are truly waterproof (unlike others that I have tried). They have good arch support. My last few pairs of boots were Merrell, and they were nowhere near this comfortable. I normally wear an 8½, but I had to go with a 9 in these. My only problem with these (and why I only gave four stars for style) was that the calfs are wide. I have skinny calfs, but these seemed like they would be a little bit big on anyone.

I got these three days ago and haven't wanted to take them off! I have hard-to-fit feet, wide at the toe, with multiple surgeries due to hallux rigidus and a plate and screws in one ankle. These feel like sneakers and don't hurt anywhere! I thought the waterproofing might make them hot, but I wore them all day and it hasn't been a problem. I have athletic calves, about 15 inches, and these fit well over tights or skinny jeans (there is a stretch panel in the back). I'm going to put a Spenco arch support in, but it really would be okay without. SO glad I bought these and I'd love to buy another color as well.

Not as dressy as I hoped, and a little too plain. Its really not very wide in the calf. I wore it with tights and the calf fit perfectly, which means that it would never fit over jeans. Also, the heal is too high, throwing the boot off balance. Also the leather gapped around the area between the arch, instep and ankle - which definitely reduced the support. I keep waiting for Keen to in something both functional and dressy.

I tried them on without socks first and they felt just a bit roomy. Then I wore boot sock and tucked by skinny jeans down it the boots. I wore them all day and then didn't want to take them off that night. My feet had room to swell over the course of the day and they boot was still so comfortable. I know if you are even looking at these boots you must be a Keen fan and I will tell you, They did not disappoint. I love them and highly recommend them.

I was really hoping that these boots would work out for me. They are pretty comfortable out of the box, but to wear them all day (I am on my feet most of it) I will need an insole with more padding and possibly more arch support. I hope that I can find the right one, because these are some of the only boots that are not stupidly wide around the calf. I have very skinny calves in proportion to my big feet, so boots are usually gaping open at the top. These have some room, but will not look ridiculous. Note that the Tyretread has removable insoles while the Bern Baby Bern boot does not, which was a disappointment.

I was looking for the perfect black boot, knee high, low heel for comfort, dressy enough for work and to wear with dresses and skirts. I am 5'2" so I need a knee high boot that is a little shorter, and I have athletic calves (regular boots are too tight and do not zip, wide-calf boots are too loose and flop around). This boot was my lean towards comfort rather than style. It was actually not very comfortable. It zipped up, but the zipper itself seemed flimsy, too small for the thick leather. And since it was not very comfortable, I could not overlook the frumpy styling. I ended up buying the Born Laurette which was perfect.

I have 2 other pairs of Keen boots that I absolutely adore! However as soon as I took out these boots from their box I was disappointed, the are too manly looking, too wide and bulky, they have a small thick platform that makes them look rough looking and heavier that my other gorgeous Keen boots. They are going back!

I wore the Bern Baby the last two winters and they held up pretty well for seasonal everyday wear in a very rainy climate, even putting up wood in snowy weather. Most fashion type boots only last me a couple of months, so the Keens are very durable. I was looking forward to this boot because of the better traction on the sole. Unfortunately this boot is cut lower and does not have the front to back taper of the Bern Baby so it hits the widest part of the calf and makes the leg look very bulky. Once the boot wears in and drops it will likely be too baggy at the ankle as well. I have wide feet, high arch, athletic 15-1/2 calves about 16"-17" from floor to back of knee. The foot beds are great for my feet and the shaft of the boot fits well, just don't like the cut of the boot shaft. If that is a look you are going for (maybe with more slender calves or jeans tucked in?), this boot may be for you!

I'm usually an 8-9, ordered this in an 8.5. It fit, but was a little snug in the calf and I don't have huge calves. I also ordered this in a size 9 and am keeping those. I will put an insert in there though, though I didn't think they were very uncomfortable or anything. The quality and color were really really nice. I wanted to order these in black AND brown, but was sad because I had to choose only 1!

Well made comfortably footed shoe. I usually wear a 9.5 and this size fit me in this boot. My calf is about 15.5 in circumference and though a little tight to put on, this boot fits comfortably. I was debating between this boot and a Merrill boot and chose the Merrill because of the style though I liked these because they were taller. Tough choice!

These boots are okay. They were not quite as wide as I need (though my Keen hiking boots are plenty roomy for my foot!) and the instep was not nearly tall enough (my instep is only moderately tall). Color seemed good, tread seemed good, insole seemed fine.

I had to return these. My feet loved them, but one of zippers was sticking and my calves were swimming - very wide at the top (I am a petite sized person).
