These boots are a great new addition to the Uggs family. The shorter boot looks great with skinny jeans and the laces add a cool, sporty vibe. But there is no arguing (and some are) that these boots are very difficult to get on. The narrow opening, once past the initial opening, makes getting your foot in and laid down very, very difficult. There are no tabs to help pull your way in. Once on, I will say, these boots run are very comfortable. I wear a 9 1/2 in most every boot I own and I sized down to a 9 in these. That being said, if you want to wear them, be prepared to take about 10 seconds and some struggle to do so.

I have hard-to-fit feet very wide forefront/toes and narrow instep and heel. Also, due to a health condition, my feet are always very cold. This has been one of the main reasons I've liked Uggs for their warmth. But they have now gone to this lining called 'ugg-pure'--which is processed wool backed to polyester. It is nowhere near as warm, thick, cozy, comfortable or plush as the original shearling. 'Ugg-pure' almost feels like synthetic (not quite as bad). So disappointing. I've had 6 pairs of Uggs over the past 20 (?) years. They all held up great and were super warm (original sheepskin). These do not feel like the same quality at all. I'm still thinking of keeping them because they are wide enough for me in the forefront (barely) and the good thing is I can adjust the instep and heel by really tightening up the laces. I've got no idea why one reviewer had trouble with that. The problem with the slip on classic Uggs for me is that my heel slips quite a lot. I don't have the problem a couple other reviewers had with getting my foot into these. It slides in easily. I will wear them inside for a couple hours and decide whether they are comfortable enough to keep. A special thanks to Zappos for your awesome service and willingness to do so many returns for me. At least I know what sandals (Birkenstocks) and running shoes (Altra) work for me, so I'll be back in the spring for those, and hopefully won't have to keep sending shoes back! I really need to find a waterproof snow boot with good treads (these have neither of those qualities, though I haven't worn them outside yet since I need to first make sure want to keep) but after returning too many pairs to count (due to fit), I'm pretty much giving up on that for now.

Really wanted to love these but as soon as I picked them up I was disappointed... they feel sort of cheap compared to my normal UGGs. They're very light, and the shearling lining is really thin, maybe because it's the "UGGPure" and not real shearling. They're pretty cute on, but for the price I wanted a more substantial feeling boot, so I'm returning them.

I concur with some of the other reviews - while the laces can be tied/loosened, the piece of boot they are in front of does not move or give at all. It was a struggle getting my foot into the boot, and they felt a little snug on, so I returned them.

Even though the laces can tighten up the boot, the stitching of the tongue does not allow for the laces to loosen the boot up when putting it on. I could not get my feet in the boots. I have never had an issue with this before, and have always worn an 8 in Ugg boots, so I am quite confused as to why this is. Although the boots are adorable, I would purchase with caution.

I always wear size 6 in uggs, ordered these in size 6, as previous comments, could not get my foot in the boot at all..the laces untie but the tongue is attached therefore there is no way I could push my foot in! I'm exchanging for size 7. Hopefully I can get my foot in, if not I will return. Really love the style...

The picture of these boots is deceptive - the laces are mostly for decoration, not a true laced up boot, as there is no detachable tongue. Hard to describe, but think of a regular plain Ugg boot(no zipper, no opening on the side or back) and picture it with a decorative lace on the front. The main difficulty, of course is in trying to get it on, especially since there is not even a tag in the back to hold on to. Am returning.
