I have difficult feet: narrow heels, wider feet at the toe area, and a high arch. I measure 7½, but they did not have a wide width, so I ordered a 38. These are perfect! I only ordered these because of Zappos' free return policy. I was not sure if they would fit properly. I absolutely love these shoes. They are not dressy, but can easily be worn with a skirt, or an athleisure style dress. They are brilliant with leggings and jeans. I bought double layered gray socks to wear with them, and I can wear these shoes in 30° weather (assuming no precipitation, of course). I am such a fan of these shoes I am actually considering buying them in navy blue as well. The toe box is roomy and they fit my wide width feet. Someone with narrow feet may find these unworkable for them, but for anyone with regular or wide width, these will be perfect.

I've been trying to find the right shoe for me to wear when I'm standing on my feet all day but don't want to wear an actual sneaker. I will only say that I'm not convinced there's such great arch support as I expected in a Dansko, but the shoe is definitely comfy. I love that I can wear them with or without socks (like an anklet or such) and just have to pull the strap a bit tighter if I don't wear socks. They're very cute. And again, I just have to say that Zappos is so good to work with. I normally consider myself a 7.5-8 so I ordered the 38, which is the same as my regular Dansko's, but I did have to exchange these for a 39. Zappos' rocks! Seriously. A shout-out to Jamiel if he sees this.

I absolutely love this shoe. the toe box is perfect the shoe offers good support, only negative comment is the length of the strap. it either needs to behalf inch longer, or the first loop needs to be extended by a total of a half an inch. I can wear it and I do a lot, but as the day goes on and my foot begins to swell it's not very flattering!! I have no room left for adjustment since I have it attached at the very end of the velcro!

I have never had a Mary Jane that fits so well. The additional strapping seems to be just what I needed. I removed the footbed and inserted my own orthotics. It's a plus that that is possible. They didn't need breaking in and I'm looking forward to wearing them on a cruise at the end of the month. Thank you Dansko and Zappos.

Not for high arches. What a shame---I was looking forward to these shoes to wear to/from the metro/work. Though they felt so comfortable, I have a very high arch so the strap didn't make it all the way across to attach to the velcro. Had it been long enough, these shoes would have been keepers.

Second time I wore these, was a 12 hour visit to Disneyland. I had no discomfort at all and my feet didn't feel like I had been on them all day. The only thing I had an issue with was that the fabric of the insole is a little rough on my feet, though if I had worn liner socks, it probably wouldn't have been an issue. Great shoes for both work and for the weekend.

Cute shoe, but too wide in toe area.

Cute enough shoe, but the sizing doesn't work for me. To get enough room in the toe box I have to order a larger size that's too wide for my feet (even the adjustable velcro strap doesn't help, because to make the shoe fit I have to pull the strap so tight that the velcro patches don't line up - if that makes sense). Comfy otherwise. The straps have a reflective seam running through them, FYI. That's not really apparent from the photos.

I bought these shoes to wear for a new job that requires a lot of walking and standing. The first few times I wore them I got a blister from the way they rubbed my foot near the outer strap. Now that they are worn in a bit, they are very supportive and great for walking. My back and foot ache went away. I am usually a size 7, and 37 fits well. 38 was too big. I have high arches and these shoes give good support. I think these are very comfortable and a good buy.

I am buying Dansko Hazel in brown suede today, to fill in summer wear when I don't want to wear my black Hazels. I've been looking for a good neutral shade to go with jeans, shoes which are comfortable to wear all day, which can step in a puddle without harm, which stay on my feet, and don't seem to wear out. Hazel does all of this, and so I am buying the second pair today. Normally, I wear a Euro 38, but the 39 in all Dansko shoes fits me perfectly. I am over 70 and comfort is very important at this age. Also, I like a wider shoe and even though Hazel is offered only in average width, it is very comfortable for me.

I had to size down - these are Euro sized. Once I sized down, they are very comfortable. I have a bit of a high instep so shoes with straps are sometimes difficult to fit. The strap on these are secured with Velcro so they are somewhat adjustable. I ordered these and a similar style, the Haven, which both fit and both feel great (bought for a walking trip to Europe). The Haven looked better on my foot so I'm going with those.

Love them. Casual but a little dressy

I adore these shoes. I can walk all day in them and feel great at the end of the day. They're comfortable, supportive, and a great alternative to sneakers. I wear them mostly with jeans/capris/shorts and I get lots of compliments on them (I'm in my late 30s). I'm a US 10 with a wider foot and the 41 is perfect.

Dansko Hazel are great walking shoes. I wore then while working in a hospital on my feet standing, and walking several miles during a work day, and they helped keep me comfortable. They are definitely not Dansko's most serious comfort shoe, but they are casual, light weight and good for walking. The strap has been the correct length for me, there is some wiggle room to loosen or tighten as needed.

I normally wear a 6 1/2, and ordered the 37, which is what I normally wear in Dansko. I bought these for the walking I plan on doing on my trip to Paris. I wanted something comfortable, but cute. These shoes are both. I like that the toe box is wide, so the bunion on my left foot, and my hammer toes are not obstructed. I have worn these several times and done quite a bit of walking in them. I've read other reviews about the strap not being long enough, and I didn't have that problem. I do wish there was just a little bit more arch support. Luckily, the inserts are removable, and I added my own. Thank you Dansko for making a cute, versatile, and sporty shoe that can be worn with the right dress or skirt. I do wish this shoe came in more colors.

I bought these for a trip to Paris where I plan to do a lot of walking. I ordered these Sunday, received them Monday, and wore them today. I am pleasantly surprised. I wear a lot of dress Dansko, and this is the first pair of sporty Dansko shoes I have ordered. I like that they can be worn with a casual dress, and with pants. The arch support could be a little more. The foot bed is removable so I will put in my own orthotics. I have a bunion on my left big toe and hammer toes from years of wearing pointy heels. The toe box on these shoes is roomy and nothing pinched. They are a little wide, so I was glad there was enough length on the strap for me to tighten to the velcro. I wear a 6 1/2 - 7, and ordered size 37Euro. Thank you Dansko, and Zappos.

My third pair of this style. Perfect for my feet with issues.......some arthritis and hammer toes. Roomy toe box that gives my hammer toe space. No pain when I wear these. I have navy and black. Don't care too much for the silver accent around opening of black pair (navy does not have this accent) but I love the comfort so overlooking that feature. I am worried that Dansko is phasing out this style as the various color options don't seem to be in stock anymore

Purchased these for an upcoming trip to Italy. I tried on a ton of shoes in stores but couldn't find anything that gave support and comfort while still "looking pretty". Read the reviews on the Dansko Hazel and because of Zappos free returns, I took a chance and ordered, so glad I did! Have been wearing for a week now and they are very comfortable and stylish. I usually run a size 51/2 to 6, so purchased the 36. They are a tad loose on me, but that allows me to remove the insole and have room to insert my orthotics which is great. Right now I wear them with a low profile sock, but as the weather warms I plan to try without. I will update the review after my fall trip with info on how they wear.

Like it but size to large

These are great. I got them in brown. I am a size 6 and found the 36 to be a little loose, but the straps kept my feet in. Arch support isnt great (I have high arches) but good enough to wear comfortable out and about. I wouldnt walk hours in these but they are comfy for outings and look cute with jeans and casual dresses. I can even wear them to work!

Shoe runs very wide and long. Might be a good shoe if it fit.

This actually a nice shoe. Cute for an athletic shoe & very lightweight. Moderate arch support but not like the typical Dansko. I thought it was comfortable & flexible. Returned due to color as I decided that black would not work for me.

Bought these for the walk from my parking garage to my office in Chicago for the summer. I wanted something with a covered toe and good support and treads like an athletic shoe but that was fairly "open" and could be worn without socks for summer. Dansko's Hazel fit the bill. These shoes are light, super cushioned and perfect for walking. The cross strap insures they don't lift at the heel or feel loose. They are true to size and the width is good due to the roomy rounded toe box. These are a winner!

I ordered this shoe as a birthday gift for my Mom. She loved the Dansko Valeries, so I wanted to get her another pair that were similar in feel and style. This one fit the bill! It's nice enough for her to wear to her business casual office, looks great with her yoga clothes on the way to class, and she even wore them to a four-day outdoor festival that included over 15000 steps of walking each day with no trouble. She really loves them, and I think this might become her new staple! Her standard Dansko size fit perfectly, so the fit is pretty close to what you'd expect. She doesn't have any foot conditions, so I'd definitely recommend these for anyone with normal feet (read other reviews if you have foot conditions! I can't speak on them).
