I don't always take the time to write reviews (my bad) but after searching for so long and trying so many pairs of shoes for my problem feet, I was about to give up. I had tried many that people swore were the most comfortable shoes ever. Not for me they weren't. And then I found these! I didn't think Dansko's would work for me after trying on several styles. But Lucille is different...so comfortable, I feel like I have slippers on, but yet there is so much support I can be on my feet for hours. Very cute too. Yes, they are expensive, but worth every penny.

Finding shoes/boots that fit me comfortably is a challenge so I was very surprised when I tried these on, left them on all day, and it was as if I had worn them for years. They are comfortable and stylish, I plan to wear them as often as possible!

I'm recovering from serious metatarsal fractures in my foot and needed a lace up shoe with removable inserts that can accommodate a carbon insert with an insole on top for comfort. This shoe was it! I had a very hard time finding a shoe that laces up, has a low heel, good support, a removable insert and is wide enough to fit my foot comfortably. I really like the insoles that come with the shoe, thick and comfy. In order to have the right fit, I did need to use a thinner insole than the one that came with the shoe, but later when I can discontinue the carbon insert, I will replace with the original insole. This is not exactly my first choice style wise, but way better than most that look very old ladyish. I needed something that I could dress up and down so I can wear it with most everything, just not suitable for skirts / dresses which I rarely wear. Pricey shoe, but very well.

These are the most comfortable and supportive booties I've ever worn. I have foot problems - plantar fasciitis and general foot pain - and cannot wear most shoes. I have to try many pairs to find ones that work for me (thanks you Zappos for your generous shopping policies). When buying shoes, I have four criteria: 1) Can I wear with my Sole insoles in them? 2) Does the sole provide cushion and shock absorption when walking? 3) Is the shoe supportive enough that my foot won't pronate when I walk (this most always means a lace up shoe)? 4) Is the shoe wide enough that my foot can fully expand width wise with no pressure, pinching, or smooshing? Even with the heel, this shoe passes all criteria. I've walked around for hours with no exacerbation of my foot issues. I bought the gray color and will buy the black as well. I wish Dansko made this in more colors. I would buy every one! For those of you who don't need special inserts, the Dansko insert that comes with the shoe is amazing - some arch support and very plushly cushioned.

The vast majority of my shoes and sandals are Dansko. I ordered in same size as all my other Danskos and the fit was just right. They are very comfortable right out of box for a whole day and evening of sightseeing. I received a compliment the first time I wore them. The sole is softer than clogs, like the rubber sole of some Dansko sandals. The arch support could be better. I can wear Dansko clogs without an orthotic, but for these I had to take the liner out and put in an orthotic. The liner was pretty substantial, so my orthotics fit great without making my foot crowded in the boot. The removable liner is great if you are the type of person who has to use an orthotic and has trouble finding cute shoes that they fit it!

Nice boots. Comfortable and make my foot look slim. I wear a size 8-1/2. EU38 was too short. EU39 is a tad long but my heel does not rub or slip. Gray is a bit darker than it may appear online. Nice color.

I bought these boots because I have a pair of Dansko Lulus and have found them to be extremely comfortable. The Lucille is from the same style collection so I thought I would give them a try. I was not disappointed -- these are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned! And the added bonus is that they are adorable and every time I wear them I get a compliment. Highly recommended!

Love these boots. The Munich is very soft. They're true to size and totally comfortable. I waterproofed them before wearing them. Almost feel like outdoor slippers!

I first tried these shoes in gray...and every time I wore them I was amazed how comfortable they were. Stylish, not clunky, light weight, comfortable, a little height. What more could I want? I bought the same pair in black. I think they're nice enough to wear with a skirt. Love Zappos! Wonderful company to shop with. I never feel bad about returning a pair of shoes that are not comfy. THESE ARE VERY COMFY!

I have had corrective surgery on both feet that makes it nearly impossible to find boots I can wear all day without pain. The Dansko Lucille is a miracle at a time I had all but given up! Great style, even greater comfort! I wear a 9 1/2 and the 40 fits just fine. I am doing a happy dance!

These shoes ROCK! They are the most comfortable pair of boots (or shoes for that matter) that I own! Wore them all day the first day I put them on and they were fantastic, no rubbing, no blisters, even the bottom of my feet (metatarsal issues) felt great. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Extremely comfortable; have a heel but you wouldn't know it. They are a bit darker than pictured (just slightly). Fit true to size.

These were comfortable right out of the box. I cannot comment on the arch support because I wear orthotics. They accommodate my orthotics well. Good for walking. Look good with pants.

I have a hard time finding shoes because I have custom orthotics. These shoes work with my orthotics and seem very comfortable. I also like that they have a thick bottom which reduces impact.

Love these! My feet were so happy to slip into them! The height is perfect. I have both hip and feet issues so I have a challenge finding something that works. I cannot wear for dressy occasions but for everyday and with some skirts they are great. Bought gray pair, too!

Love. They're simple, sleek, chic, and comfortable! I researched many similar styles and these were by far the most functional. Although, they seem to be slightly longer in the footbed by a few millimeters, they're adorable on my feet. The ankle hits at the perfect height, and they have an ever so slightly raised heel that makes for the perfect day-to-night bootie. While the price was far from my usual (and more frugal) price range, I allowed myself to indulge for the perfect replacement shoe due to my track-record of keeping shoes for several years before needing to repair or replace them. Thank goodness I am so pleased with my purchase!

My wife had a bad ankle injury. These shoes are extremely comfortable for her. They give her the support she needs and allow her to walk comfortably. After trying these we bought a second pair in grey.

These were absolutely wonderful from the moment I put them on. They look great and they are super comfy. I didn't have to break them in at all. I'm usually wearing running shoes so I was a little weary of walking around in these for an extended period, but I was so comfortable in them. They have excellent arch support. Well worth every penny!

First noticed these and added to favorites as was undecided if should order. After reading other reviews I decided to give these a try. Glad I took the chance. Have difficult time finding shoes/boots that fit my custom orthotics and still feel and look good. These fit the bill perfectly. Insole easy to remove and fit orthotics. Have to say insole itself has decent arch and good cushioning but my feet are very sensitive and need custom orthotics. There is ample room in toe box without looking "big" on the outside. The wedge is just the right height. If unsure take a chance and you may love them as much as I do. Remember Zappos has easy no hassle returns.

I love these shoes. They are very attractive, stylish, trendy, comfy, and give great support. This is the third pair of Dansko boots or booties that I have purchased. I love having the latest styles, but I don't have model perfect feet. I wear a size 11, have flat wide feet, and swollen ankles due to my R.A. However, Dankso boots/booties make me really happy. This brand and shoe is a great way for people like me to have something cute and trendy! I love them and Zappos, the greatest shoe company on earth!

These are surprisingly good on all fronts: More comfortable than some of the more "modern" Dansko styles I've tried; solid and supportive, and also cute. I wasn't sure they were cute, looking at the pics online, but I ordered in a whole bunch of boots to try, and these were by far the cutest. Something about them just seems kind of fresh and right right now -- like, with skirts as much as with jeans. If you're considering them, give them a try. I really like them.

Am I glad I gave these shoes a chance! Looking for comfort and style...saw these, read the rave reviews so I thought I'd give them a try. Very stylish and oh so comfy!! Love the color, also. I wear an 8 medium and that's what I ordered and they were perfect. They run true to size.

Such an awesome boot. My feet hurt even in what are considered "comfort" shoes and I could literally wear these all day long. They're as comfy as slippers.
