I have several pair of Dankso professionals that are still going strong after many years, but I wanted something that was a little less clunky, but still a clog. The Mavis fit the bill in style so I gave them a go. They have a nice cushioned insole and are sleeker overall compared to the Professional style. I am a 38 in other Dankos and even in European clogs, but given the other reviews on these, I ordered a 37. They do fit snugger than the Professional, but I think that is how they are supposed to fit. They are more snug across the top of my foot, but they do still slip off the heel like my other Danskos do. They are even titled as a "Dress Pump" another website, so the snugness would make sense, although I still made order my normal size to compare fit. Overall, they are great looking shoes and comfortable just as other Danksos.

Beautiful shoe but my usual size was way too big. Now I'm trying out a smaller size although unsure about the length. It seems to hit in the heel a bit much, but it may loosen up after I walk a bit.

I have worn Danskos for years and usually like the way they fit, however this shoe was a bit bigger than other Dansko shoes I have purchased.

I wear a size 8 and this was a 38 (7.5 - 8). Definitely way too big, even with a fairly thick sock. Going back. Not sure whether I will reorder. Hard to judge comfort.

I needed a pair of shoes that were supportive and looked stylish for working at my retail job. While wearing boot cut or flare jeans, these shoes just look like you are wearing stylish boots. They are pretty comfortable, and although fit differently those most of my shoes (bigger), they stayed on great even when climbing a latter. I recommend these to anyone that needs supportive shoes.

(Size 11.5-12) Like many of the other reviews, the heel was quite wide and boxy, though the length was perfect so in my case I wouldn't try sizing down. Your heel will most likely slip up when walking in them. Maybe with the help of a heel pad these would be do-able. Hated having to send back because they are such an attractive shoe, especially for a clog!

Comfortable shoe. It just slipped off my heal as I walked even though I selected one size smaller.

These are such cute shoes. I am so sad that I have to return them! I have gone through several pairs of shoes, doing the buy-try-return thing, and most of the shoes were too narrow for my halfway-between-medium-and-wide feet. My foot slid right into these, and they felt a tiny bit snug, but not enough that I would return them, since they are leather and brand new, and likely to relax and stretch a little with wear. What I did not like was the heel-slide. I had read in the description and in some reviews that your heel is supposed to slide a little bit. My heel came clear out of the shoe with every step I took. If I wore these shoes on a daily basis, which is why I bought them (for work), my heel would be rubbed raw inside of two days. Sadly, I must return them and go with a different brand. Such a shame.

These Danskos are so wide! They are completely different from any others I have. Be warned.

Great shoe but cut wrong. Runs very large. I wear Dankso shoes and clogs all of the time and always wear a 40. I have a pair with the identical footbed that I love. These are cut much larger over the instep and in the heel. I am afraid that a size down will not fit properly in the footbed. I was very disappointed because I really wanted the grey and the slimmer look these clogs offer.

I so wanted to like this shoe, but the sizing is completely off. When I tried my normal 40, my foot was swimming in the shoe. However, the 39 is much narrower than my other Dansko's. Such a cute shoe otherwise.

I agree with the other reviewer-- these run huge. I take a 40N in Birkenstock, and have Dansko sandals in a 39. I ordered 39 in these and they are at least two sizes too big.

These shoes are more than one size too large. Felt like two sizes larger. I've worn Dansko for years and they have drastically changed their sizing. Very disappointed.

I love everything about this shoe, the look, the comfort, the heel height. Unfortunately it was way too wide for my narrow foot, back they go.

Cute, but had to send back. Fits very differently than Dansko clogs. they run large, but the smaller size didn't work either!

I have always worn the Dansko Professional clog, and decided that I wanted something less clunky, but I am paying for it. I can't wear these more than an hour before my feet are killing me. Maybe they are too small, but I had ordered the size up, and the heel slipped too much. This was an expensive shoe that I regret buying although it does look nicer than the Professional for work. Good looking, but poor fit and overpriced considering they hurt my feet. Sorry Dansko...these are a big miss.

This would be a great shoe - if it fit. I have had about 10 pairs of clog-style Danskos, and the 38 always fits great. But these were quite large - a good half inch of room in the back/heel area, enough that my foot comes out during walking. The shoe is cute but back they go. So if the 38 always fit, beware that this shoes sizes differently!

My wife owns at least a dozen pair of Dansko clogs, and all are size 36. Unfortunately this pair is a half size larger and we tried two different pairs just to make sure. Too bad they do not come smaller than a 36. Be careful when buying as they are bigger than advertised.

As others have written these are large! I am in the process of returning my second pair due to big fit. I ordered two sizes smaller and still too large. I am so disappointed but I cannot send a third pair back and I am getting tired of trips to return them although I appreciate Zappos' free shipping and free returns.

After just a few wearings due to the shape of the toe box the color of the leather is wearing off. My other danskos have worn for years with none of this kind of wear. Really disappointed!

I'm so bummed to have to return these shoes! They're so cute and seem like they would be comfy (though I could go for more arch support). The toe of the shoe was normal, but from the middle of my foot to the heel the shoe didn't even touch my foot on the sides! These are so bizarrely wide in the back that I don't even think that if I sized down they would fit. In fact, I had ordered another pair of Danskos that didn't fit and had already sized down when I ordered these. Huge disappointment.

These Dansko shoes did not fit at all like the others that I own. The toe box area was extremely tight - on the top of the shoe - where it dips down toward the toes, and felt like it was the only thing keeping the shoe on. The heel was extremely loose and gave me more play than others I own. I had not looked at the reviews, which indicate to order a size down, but I am afraid that if I had, the top of the toe area would have been even tighter on the top of my foot. They will be going back.

Love Danskos, but it is hit or miss with the fit...this was definitely a misfit all around..the heel was huge..the toe box was somewhat okay...it needed more of a platform on the bottom as the slope was too great, etc., etc. generally, a badly designed shoe. Returning.

These shoes run large; are not true to size. Unfortunately, cannot exchange them for a smaller size since there is not one available. Very disappointed, I would have liked to wear this shoe.
