These were an answer for me. I wear an 8-8 1/2 women’s shoes, however the sneakers I ordered were never wide enough. Zappos can attest to that!! I read a review from a lady with the same problem. Her answer was to shop the men’s sneakers since they are a little wider. I tried it and it was perfect!! I ordered a 39 (5-5 1/2) Thanks Zappos !!!

I have looked at several versions of this same shoe, seems all of the big brands have a similar style. You can't beat Ecco's for comfort, fit and quality. I have two pairs of Ecco golf shoes which I love; and just bought two pairs of these soft 7 sneakers, casual and have enough "cool factor" to make them appropriate to dress up a bit and still have comfy shoes on. Highly recommend, and Zappos have great customer service and delivery!

I’m a huge fan of Ecco for most of my dress shoes. These shoes fit in nicely with my wardrobe. Marketed as sneakers, I’ve been mostly wearing them to work this summer. They are lightweight, very comfortable and provide good arch support, even for my standing desk. They are not as “substantial” as typical Ecco dress shoes so I’m hoping they hold up with frequent use, but so far I love them.

I took these out of the box, put them on my feet and then got on a plane for a 2 week trip to France. I wore them everyday and I couldn't have been happier. I logged many miles of city walking as well as hiking through old castle ruins and they held up beautifully.

Love these shoes. My third pair but the run big. I wear a 10.5 US shoe but a 42 in ECCO's.

The women’s in a similar style is not wide enough when putting in my thick orthotic. The men’s is perfect. Very comfy.

Ok, sizing, I find that the EU to US size conversion is always wrong. I wear an 8.5 and a 41 consistently. A 41 is NOT a 7-7.5. I know this but someone ordering an EU size for the first time my be caught unaware and end up with some big fitting shoes. I am swimming in a 42 which is recommended for a US 8.5. As always with ECCO, these are comfortable, look great and I expect them to wear and last well.

I have had these shoes for 5 months now and am very pleased with my purchase. They were very comfortable straight out of the box, and I have been wearing them daily without any foot pain or discomfort. Similar to some other reviews, the top of the shoe can feel a little tight until you break them in, but otherwise fits well. My only piece of critical feedback is that that toes of my shoes have scuffed up pretty quickly (I have them in the Magnet color), but that would not deter me from buying another pair of these shoes. I would highly recommend.

Nice sneakers and built to ECCO standards but I disagree with the many reviewers who state that these shoes have good arch support. I find the fit very similar to any sneaker of this style. I will keep them because I like the look and quality but I am not sure I will be able to wear these for any significant walking.

Allen Edmonds are the best shoes I have ever worn. Also Hokas for walking for long periods.

The shoes fit well and are reasonably comfortable for casual use. They are not particularly comfortable as walking shoes.

I was divided when I first got these. I expect sneakers to be really comfortable. These are not as cushioned as I expected. I have planter faciaitis and have to have removable insoles for my orthotics. I buy Eccos because the fit this bill. I have worn Eccos for years. I grew to like these wearing them a couple of times. I plan on buying another pair in a different color.

I've been looking for a pair of dress sneakers for some time now and was gravitating toward a similar shoe by Cole Haan, but fell in love with these. I'm not entirely sure these shoes are worth the price, but the Soft 7 is a great shoe. I noticed very early that these are pretty noisy shoes, the leather tongue appears to rub against the sides of the shoes causing a ridiculous squeaking sound when walking (pro tip: rub a dryer sheet on the tongue to fix this). These shoes also show scratches very easy. I would order a size smaller than other shoes. I typically wear a 12 (46EU) and needed to re-order an 11 (45EU).

Very stylish sneaker. Looks good out on the town with a sport coat or at a weekend casual type event with the horsey set. Doesn't hold an orthotic, but Ecco's superior comfort and support make that OK (just don't take a long walk in them).

Very comfortable shoe. I typically wear a size 10 in other brands but the 9.5 fit great for me. I also have a wider foot and these are flexible enough to still be very comfortable. My only criticism is that the soles squeak on certain surfaces. I’m hoping that goes down and I break them in.

Love these shoes. Very well built, super stylish, great color. Only negative is they are a bit tight on the top of the foot until you break them in. It might be just my feet but they def needed to be broken in. Besides that they are fantastic.i have the same shoe in black as well.

The shoes feel very stiff. I’ve tried to only wear them in hour long intervals (in hopes of breaking them in), but have had to take them off sooner each time as the pinching on my toes became unbearable.

These sneakers are made well however were returned as they run much more narrow than other Ecco's. The length was correct but the shoe in general felt narrow and going up a size would make the shoe too long on the feet.

This is an awesome pair of shoes but ecco's Euro to US sizing conversion is off and leads to a shoe that's too big.

In reading other reviews I was tempted to order a size smaller. After reading your sizing chart I ordered a UK size 49 which would match my size. I will return them as they are about one full size too large and order a 48. The shoes are comfortable and look good.

At first look, I liked the appearance/style of these shoes, but the leather looked a little cheap, especially for $150 shoes. Besides just not being comfortable on my feet (no fault of the manufacturer), the leather felt cheap and it scuffed very easily. They got scuffed/scratched up just by me adjusting the laces and putting them on for the first time. I can tell that it won’t take long for them to look all scuffed up and trashy...not what I’m looking for in $100+ shoes.

I must own 15 pairs of Echo shoes, golf and casual. This is the first pair that didn’t feel right in my feet. Felt wide, but couldn’t satisfactorily lace tighter and certain a Narrower (vs Medium) width wouldn’t work either. I returned. The search continues. Fantastic Zappos service, as always.

I've worn Ecco shoes for a couple of decades now. This particular generation of Soft 7 are definitely NARROWER than any other ECCO shoe I have ever worn. Super disappointing.. These feel a full size too small. I have always worn EU 44 and these sadly are not like previous ECCOs. I really really hope that this is an anomaly and ECCO have NOT moved to this new narrower format.
