This shoe ran a bit larger than expected, but works out great anyway when I've got thick, warm socks on. This shoe is light, very comfortable, very warm, and totally water proof. I shopped for a good boot for a while & feel like I got exactly what I wanted.

Great boot. Comfortable, warm in sub freezing, not too hot in warmer weathers or indoors. Easy to get into and out of. Laces up quickly. Stylish looking boot. Good enough traction on iced-over concrete and wet snow. Powder or wet snow over trail poses no problems at all. Roomy toe box provides ample room for thicker socks, but doesn't feel loose if you have a thinner pair on.

These are fantastic. Very warm and waterproof. I did switch out the insole for a "ProFoot 2oz miracle" insole because the original one hit me wrong in the heel, but other than that I've found them to be very comfortable. The best thing about them is that you can feel the surface you're walking on pretty well; not quite to the degree of a minimalist shoe but more than most of the work and hiking boots I've worn.

This is a very attractive casual boot. My fiance is a rough and tumble kind of guy and he loves them. They have held up well for all his outside chores and still look nice if he wears them out to dinner. They keep his feet dry and warm which is important for these WNY winters.

Just out of the box - so just first impressions, but these are everything I hoped they'd be. All of the support, warmth, and comfort of previous Merrell boots I've owned with a much upgraded style. These things are much more sleek and lower profile than all the other winter boots I've seen, but from the looks and feel of them I bet they'll perform just as well. Again, just a first impression, but they seem very tough too.

Excellent wet weather boot. I've only worn once ( a 5 hour downpour in the Northwest) and they kept my feet warm and dry. I didn't have any time to try and break them in but turns out I didn't need to as they were comfortable from beginning to end of my day. I look forward to wearing these hopefully for years to come.

These boots are fantastic. Warm, dry, great traction, well built, and more stylish than almost any other serious winter boot out there. They are comfy and not too heavy without feeling flimsy and sneaker-y. Haven't yet tested it in deep winter, but—for urban use—they certainly feel like they will do the job well. Fit just like my other Merrell shoes.

My husband liked the boots, but when opened the boots were brown, not black. The video that went with the shoe the man was holding a black boot. The color is called slate black, but picture shown was brown. We thought it was just a glitch, but they are brown boots and they are going back, because he wants a black boot.

Took these out for a 3 mile hike to break them in a little and I was very impressed. I usually wear Merrell's hiking shoe on the trails, but wanted something for when the snow starts falling. These were much warmer and truthfully, all-around more comfortable. These are not a boot I would wear out to dinner or somewhere even casual, but thats not what I bought them for. I wanted a boot to wear for shoveling the driveway and trekking through the woods. These seem like the perfect fit so far.

These boots arrived two days ago. I have worn them twelve hours per day and walked over thirty miles in them. Four of the hours were spent in rain. The boots are waterproof, so far. There was no break in period, they fit nicely and appear to be very well made. The one big downside is the crappy footbed liner. I couldn't figure out why the boots didn't feel right, the arch support on the liner is pushed back toward the heel. Replacing the liners with some taken out of a pair of cycling shoes I had lying around really solved the problem.

As looks go, this is a great looking boot. Now I bought these for work so style wasn't exactly what I was going for but it wouldn't hurt to have something stylish. Only problem was traction. I walk up and a down a metal ramp all day and these boots can't handle it. Dry or wet weather they aren't great. Even on the ground in wet weather they don't hold up well. Wouldn't recommend them for work.

I am usually a big fan of Merrell footwear. These were a huge let down. No arch support, except for some funky feeling lump toward the back of the shoe. Disappointed with the appearance and design, as well. Definitely don't appear to be $140 shoes. Wore them for about an hour around the house and just couldn't justify the price tag for something that's uncomfortable and ugly. Sorry Merrell, you lost me on this one.

Two months in and rubber "coloring" began to flake, stitching came undone, and then... an eyelet popped off the boot. Style and comfort can't disguise these lemons.
