Like others said, these boots are uncomfortable. Luckily, the discomfort is only on the insole, so lengthy walks or standing around too long is rough. It's like standing on blocks of wood in your socks. Outside of that, they don't poke at the top when bending to walk or feel uncomfortable in any other way. They look great, keep my feet warm and so far, seem to be made very well. They run large. I normally wear 9.5 to 10 but had to return for a size 9.

I really like the boot. This is the first pair of chuckas I've had in many years and these feel like they are going to mold well to my feet. I live in NYC and walk and need a "weather" walking boot. So far so good but we haven't had any sloppy weather to test the waterproofing. I wear a 9 1/2 normally in most shoes, but I had to get a 9 in these. So know, if you are a sometimes this size, sometimes that size, you may start with the smaller. That's why I love Zappos, the ease of return.

Was too big by about a half a size.

More boot like than say the Timberland Earthkeeper Chukkas. Waterproof durable leather. Need to be broken in as the leather comes pretty tough. Biggest issue: The laces suck and are hard to find good replacements for. They frayed apart in less than a week of normal use.

Size was too long in the foot for a 9. Width was pretty good. Arch support was ok. But as well as the length (1"+ space at the front of the toe) the color is odd. I didn't want that over-dark toe look. It wasn't in the pics and not what I was looking for.

Loved the boots for the first season I wore them. They are warm enough when wearing a pair of thick socks. They are great for walking around on a wet day and not having to dodge puddles and they look great with a pair of jeans at the office. The reason for my 3-star review is after the first season wearing them, something happened (slipped or delaminated?) in the sole of the right boot and now there is a loud groaning/creaking noise at every step. The sound is loud enough that I've been asked what's wrong with my boot by numerous colleagues at work. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with them functionally...it's just really annoying to have to hear the creaking noise when I'm walking around. I would have expected for $170 that this kind of flaw wouldn't be something I'd have to deal with after one season of wear.

Did not seem like a quality product. Made in Indonesia, and they are not like the Wolverines I’ve owned that were made in USA or Portugal. Returning them.

I've had these for just under a year. I really liked the style, they go well with jeans or khakis. They held up pretty well until recently... First the collar ripped exposing some foam, then the heal separated from the outsole. I wear these inside, mostly in an office setting with some outdoor use. I'm pretty disappointed these didn't even make it a year, especially for a $170 boot.

A great looking shoe. Seems to do pretty well in the rain, or around moderate water spills. Feet have always stayed dry in these. However, they are very uncomfortable. The padding that comes with the shoe is terrible, and underneath that is super hard. If you require, or desire any sort of insert for comfort or stability then the cheap padding is glued down and will come out in tiny pieces. Putting an insert on top of the padding made the shoe too tight. If you want to be comfortable, skip this shoe. If you hate your feet, but want to look good they're great.
