I have been looking for a pair of black boots to replace a pair I've had for 7 years and stumbled upon these beauties. They are truly amazing!!! BUT after reading the reviews that some people sized up 1/2 size (I wear an 8.5), I purchased a 9. The box arrived and I let out a cry of happiness! I opened the box and these majestic boots were sitting in their little cardboard house, looking incredible. The distressed look and buckles - gorgeous! Then came the moment of truth. Like Cinderella putting her foot in the glass slipper..... wah wah wah.... more like the step sister. It was so narrow that I immediately felt like I had Flintstone feet. Were my feet sasquatch width? I thought - okay, these will stretch out over time, so the tightness can be forgiven. I began to walk around the house, and slip, slip, slip over my heel they went, rubbing them as if the boot wanted to start a fire on my heel. I know this feeling too well, and if I kept these boots, I would be riddled with enough blisters to warrant foot amputation. So, reluctantly, I am returning them with a sad face emoji and am jealous as the Grinch that others have found bliss.

I may have already written a review on these when I first got them. It's been 4 months and these are still my "go-to" boots. They are even more comfortable! Makes me sad the warm weather is coming so I can't wear them every day!

I bought these at the zappos outlet but have been eyeing them for some time. They feel amazing-- really comfortable! They look awesome with skinny jeans and leggings and I love the distressed look. Super cool tough boots that look adorable with a dress. I usually wear a 7.5 but the 7 fits great. I think Frye can be that way though.

Amazing. The more I wear the softer the leather becomes. I would sleep in them. I wear these every chance I get. Jeans. Dresses. Leggings. Love these boots

I love these boots. The color is just as pictured. I like that the buckles on the sides can be loosened so that the boot can have a less fitted look on the lower leg.

I typically wear a size 9 but went with the 8 1/2 because I usually order 1/2 size down in the shorter style Frye boots. These have enough room for a normal sock.

So I’ve been looking for the perfect moto boot so I read ALL the reviews. I’m a perfect 8 medium; admission they were as I expected snug out of the box. It only took about 1 hour to break them in without socks; and they were already much better. These boot are so well made they will last the rest of my life!!! LOVE!!

The fit was tighter then expected more

These are really nice boots but they were too small for my foot. I even sized up and they were tight in the toe box (l had on thin socks). Even though they have a zipper, they were hard to get on. Walking in the house I felt the leather in several spots rubbing my heel, the sides of my foot. The shoe part itself is very rigid. It would take a while to break in and I could imagine the blisters. I returned for a different brand. I love a Frye boot but these were not for me.

Beautiful boots, well made, very thick leather. The scuffs on the stonewash are just beautiful! However, my low rating is about being too narrow! Why so tight Frye!? I don't have particularly wide feet. I usually wear 8 (rarely 8.5), and got an 8.5 after reading the reviews. Lengthwise they were ok, but sadly had to return because of the width :(

Thank you Zappo for selling to me all my Frye boots all my other footwear!!! I have at least 8 pairs of Frye boots. They are very well made top quality. Classic .Most of them say...95% are very comfy. Otherwise just a few wearing gets the 5% in that group. Of comfort... these my newest babies are just awesome I gave it 4 stars(comfort) only bc I cant honestly say or give my opinion yet as I haven’t worn them for more then 5 minutes... but they are soft and just gorgeous .... I do have a narrow foot so I have no issues with fit. I feel for those ladies who had to return these .

These ar beautiful boots but they are very narrow and hard to put on . I ordered a half size up but these are very Narrow.

Nice looking boot that broke in the first day I wore it and never hurt my feet. It does run slightly narrow which is good for me. I had slight slippage in the heel but not horrible. It is a very cute stylish boot that fits true to size. I do think the Veronica Combat in comparison fits narrower than this boot.

I am usually an 8 in most shoes, in Frye I am an 8.5 and that's what I ordered. I got the black brush off. I have been wearing them around the house for about 5 hours now, with no socks. The leather is divine. They're so comfortable that I feel like I am wearing moccasins with a heavier sole...the leather has molded to my feet. I did tighten all buckles to the tightest notch, and I like that these boots are closer fitting to my ankles than the boots I exchanged them for, which were the slip-on Veronica Bootie. I just felt like those were too sloppy on my ankles. I think these will definitely be my new go-to boots for the fall/winter/spring seasons.

These do not disappoint......good right out of the box. A great addition to the 10 pair of Frye boots I already have.

Love these! I am a 7.5 or 8 depending, and ordered the 8 in this boot. At first, I was worried they were too small when trying to get them on however once my foot was in, it was the right size (almost a bit too loose). I wore them right away with no issues and love the beaten up distressed look. These are my 4th pair of Frye Boots in 10 years and all of them are still going strong as far as quality and style go. They are a great investment!

Super cute. Love the buckles. Went up a size bc I had Veronica Combat and my true size 7 was too tight. Only took one day to break in. Love them!!

Perfect fit! Very attractive with cords & jeans. Zappos price was incredible!

True to size fit. Super comfortable. Easier to break in than my other Frye boots.
