I can't stop wearing these boots; every other shoe I own has been left alone in the closet since I bought these. I love the Vibram sole, trusty and sturdy for the mountains I live in, but stylish and chic for my job. They aren't a plush cozy shoe; if I wear them standing for 5+ hours, yes my feet hurt, but for every day walking, sitting in the office, and going out, they're amazing. They slip on easily, and stay on all day. I get compliments on them every day. The heel is the perfect height, not too tall, not too short; just right.. As the top section at the back of the shoe angles in a bit, it initially rubbed me to the point where I had a blister at the back; easy fix: Long pants and socks. The leather is worn in now, but I still prefer to wear them with long socks and pants rather than with shorts and short socks- that leather does still rub a little on bare legs. I ordered a size 8, and always wear a size 8. I was a little dubious, as I used to sometimes order half a size up with Fryes. I've since found that it's all about the breaking in. Those I have that are 8.5's are truly a little too big. I'd say go with your true size and never look back! These are the BEST shoes ever.

Great casual boot and more durable than most Chelsea styles. The black is deep and intense with just a bit of shine. The Sabrina fit is always narrow through the front, so I went a half-size up to be comfortable in thick or thin socks and it's perfect. These boots were a bit stiff for the first few hours of wearing, especially at the front and back of the ankle opening, but broke in quickly with no real discomfort. Love the lug sole and quality U.S. construction, both of which make a real difference.

Runs 1/2 size large. I am 9M but take 8.5 in Frye. Fits exactly same as Sabrina 6G lace-up. The snugness across instep relaxes after a couple wears. Nice leather. Easy on/off. I conditioned with Frye leather cream and leather softened and buffed to beautiful shine. I add arch support and thin sock. Comfortable heel height. I love this minimalist style and the vibram sole is better for rainy/snowy days than my all leather sole Frye Sabrina Double Buckle boots.

Fits just like Sabrina lace up. Very comfortable and stylish.

I like the look of these booties but you should size down. I have very wide feet (normally wear a 7.5 in regular shoes)! These were my 2nd Frye purchase the first I ordered a 7.5 and had to return for an 8.5, so I wasn't sure how these would fit. I a 7.5 and they fit fine with normal socks so I'm guessing after multiple wears they will only stretch out. Suggest sizing down a half size. Lastly, I don't like how IMMEDIATELY the creases showed. They look like I've had them (and not really taken care of them) for years. But I get tons of compliments and the "worn in" look it's necessarily a bad thing.

I bought these about 3 months ago. When I first got them I loved everything about them. The color, heel size, and they were very comfy walking around. I wish I did orderat least a half a size down though. The leather did stretch a ton and now my feet are swimming in the boots unless I have very thick socks on. I would still recommend this product, they are gorgeous and will last a long time, just size down at least half a size.

I got this as my bday gift from my hubby..I wear true size 7 and I fit melissa button tall size 7 and the harness short in size 7...at first when I put this on with no socks it felt a bit loose..then I put on a thin sock and it fits perfectly..feels comfy on but when i walk the top part kept on rubbing onto my ankle...I am a short girl 4'10...might feel better for those people that are tall..but this is cute...I felt like if I go a half size smaller it might be a bit too tight with socks on..color is super beautiful in person...but beware the top feels a bit tight while walking..

I LOVE the look of these boots. They're perfect- versatile and classic with a good amount of "lug" and without looking clunky. However, they are super stiff. I've worn them at least 10 times now and I don't feel like they're loosening up at all. So after wearing them all day my feet are definitely hurting. But I still love them!

Wish the color was brighter as in pics/walk squeaks

I bought these about two weeks ago and am on my 3rd wear. I have had to put a few days in between each wear because breaking them in is a little rough. They are tight in the instep and I have quite flat feet. I do have bunions which makes my feet a little wider than normal, and the width feels ok in my toes except for some rubbing at the pinky toes. Hopefully some conditioner will help soften them up a bit. Otherwise, I love the chic/tough look of these, the solid construction, the vibram sole, and the high quality leather. They will be part of my wardrobe for years to come. I always wear either a 9 or 9.5 in Frye, and I bought these in a 9.5 to wear with thicker socks.

I LOVE every shoe Ive ever purchased from FRYE!!!! Can you do the Sabrina Chelsea in merlot? Thanks for your consideration.

They dont fit like any other Frye boot Ive had. Sizing was way off.

These are beautiful boots in the Cognac color. I ordered them for my wife who has many pairs of Frye at this point. I ordered these in 8. 5. My wife has several pair of Sabrina's in 8. 5 but these did not fit. I had to reorder another pair in size 9 for them to fit. When we compared them to her other Frye's and Sabrina's, they are at least half a size off. I feel like there's such a big difference that there's a manufacturing issue. But they are wonderful looking. Since I had to reorder and the price increased over 2 weeks, I had to pay a bit more for the same boot because they were so mis-sized. I would have rated them 5 stars if sized properly and if I hadn't had to pay more for the same boot to get something that fit her. Again, she probably has 10+ pairs of Frye without any sizing issues.

Ive purchased three pairs of this same boot in the past 6 years - two pairs of black, and one in the cognac color. I wore those boots almost every day during the winter, and am very familiar with them. My second pair of black boots were getting a bit worn down, which for $400, keeping them in a box, and routinely polishing and water proofing them, was frustrating. So my husband surprised me by ordering the exact same boots i have, in the same size, for my birthday. The new pair were A FULL SIZE smaller than my OG pair, even at the same size listing, and much narrower, to the point that they didn't fit at all. I trusted that if I bought the same boot, I wouldn't have a sizing issue. I was wrong. I contacted their customer service and they refused to exchange or refund, and their only solution was for me to sell a new pair of boots on their Exchange site built for pre-used boots. For $300, I expect at the minimum they would swap out my current pair for the right size. And FWIW, my husband saw no language while checking out that this item couldn't be returned or exchanged. Even the receipt didn't include that information. I would steer clear of Frye products, not just because of their inconsistency in quality and sizing despite their high prices, but for the very fact that they refuse to work with their customers.

Wore them all week with jeans and pants.

These are beautiful, high quality, and will last a long time. These are my first Fryes and Im officially addicted!

Nice boot. Breaking in nicely, but have to wear thick socks as they run big.

Terrible customer service. First pair ordered were too big. Returned and ordered next size down. Still too big. Went ti return the second pair and was told this item was not able to be returned. Reached out to customer service and was told they would not return them due to being a final sale. After buying Frye boots for many years, I will no longer purchase another pair.

Purchased a pair 3 or more years ago and still in perfect condition! Just purchased the black pair because I wear the brown so often. So comfortable I can wear them for hours.
