Originally I thought pet car harnesses and the like were marketing ploys to get us to buy the unnecessary. I was wrong. Too many pets killed or injured every year in vehicle accidents. I've tried many many solutions for my little escape artist & tho I thought this too much at first for such a small dog, 16 lb, on second try, this is the best I've found. Our girl is surprisingly comfortable in it, with the freedom to stand, sit or recline and it's super easy for me to put on and take off (once I got the fitting right and did it a couple of times.) Highly recommend! Wish it were another color (not big on black) but it's not a fashion statement but a potential life or quality of life saver.

This is a great product. My 75 pound black lab doesn't mind wearing it all. It is great at keeping him contained in back seat, as he had a habit of jumping in front seat while i was driving. Very durable product. Easy to slip on and buckle him in it.

I was looking for a crash-tested harness for my large dogs. The one I was using was a bit difficult to properly secure, and my dogs became too big for the required tethers. This harness was a little confusing to adjust at first, but once I figured it out I was able to adjust the second one without an issue. I recently purchased a third, so all of our dogs can be safely restrained when they all need to be in the car together. The only thing I wish is that it came in different colors...for style but also so that I would know quickly which one goes with which dog!

After trying three other car safety harnesses we hit the jackpot. My 12 pound Shih Tzu was too small for the other harnesses even after adustments. This one fits great, he can sit up or lie down. Simple to put on and attach to seat belt. The Ruffwear Loadup in xxs small is the solution I was looking for.
