Sits nicely under my Aussie’s long coat without matting. Just be aware that it’s fairly easy for your dog to back out of this collar. This will not be a good collar if you dog likes to pull, but if your dog has good leash manners I recommend it.

I loved the looks and concept of this collar but it didn’t ever fit my Golden doodle pup properly before she almost chewed right through the rope. I ordered a M because they didn’t offer a small in any of the colors. My puppy is 4 mos, (15lbs) and has never worn this collar for any length of time. Only when I slip it on to take her potty on a leash. Mostly because it’s still way too big on the smallest setting. With that being said, I’ve caught her three times trying to bite at it under her chin and she’s only once successfully got it in her mouth. It wasn’t but a minute before I realized it however it was too late. The rope was already shredded through the black rope center. I really wanted it to work out for when she got older because it was nice in that it didn’t screw up her fur around her neck. I do own many other ruffwear items and haven’t had problems. So bummed.
