This is a gorgeous midcalf boot with a very soft leather shaft. The first time I put these on, I felt as if I'd been walking in them for years -- they were that comfortable out of the box! In my opinion, they run true to size. The shaft is made for a narrower calf; girls with muscular legs may find it a bit too tight. I absolutely love these boots!

Started wearing them the day I got them and have worn them every day for three weeks. Comfortable and attractive, well-made.

I absolutely love these boots. They are the perfect mid height and look great with skirts and dresses AND leggings and jeans. I added some insoles for extra support and comfort since I'm on my feet all day and that makes up for the lack of arch support. Overall, amazing boot.

Best boots I own, hands down. They were comfortable right out of the box. The brown is rich and dark and beautiful. I want the black ones now and I may get rid of my other boots. I am 5'4" with very thin calves and these worked well for me and my short legs! Love them!

After trying many tall boot styles, I tried the mid-calf. These boots are by far the most comfortable boots ever! At 5'5", my legs are not short, but I felt the tall boots made them look short. The mid-calf makes my legs look longer, and the boots are much more comfortable. This style has a very slight slouch, which I love. I ordered size 8; I am always a size 8 and they fit perfectly. My calf is 13½" at the fullest, which is where these boots hit on me. They fit over skinny jeans with a very little bit of room to spare; the boot shaft is not tight. If your legs are larger, these may not be the right boots for you. I bought cognac and found the color to be a bit darker than pictured, which I prefer. The soles are not slick. They are well worth the price!

These boots are absolutely amazing! I have tried over 12 different boots in the past two months and none of them worked. I did not want to spend this amount of money but they are worth every penny. They are very easy to put on which is always a concern with pull on boots. I am normally a size 8½ which I got and they were just a little big but fit fine with thick socks. I am 5'10" and they come right below my calf.

I love the mid-calf Anna boot! The break in time was minimal. Less than a day. I bought the black and was so impressed I also purchased the cognac! A nice alternative to a tall boot. Looks great with jeans, leggings, and dresses. I work on my feet and wore them with no problems. A classic, clean look that will last a long time.

I absolutely love these Frye Anna boots! They are perfect with leggings and jeans and they have a look that stands out. I have the black and cognac and will be purchasing the dark brown. I would like to see these boots in a light grey and also navy.

Gorgeous, well made boot. It needs a bit of wearing in, but is so comfortable. Looks fantastic with leggings and skinny jeans. Felt true to size. My foot is a bit narrow, but not so narrow that I can wear a narrow shoe--it's a pain. This boot fit well. I'm between an 8.5 and 9 but the 8.5 fits perfectly. It is not form fitting around my calves, but I guess that depends on the size of your calves.

I had my eye on these for months and finally bit the bullet and bought my first pair of Frye boots. I was skeptical taking them out of the box and when I tried them on I was not sold. I am petite (5'0"/110 pounds) and they hit me at my thickest point on the calf. That being said, I first tried them on with shorts/bare legs (I live in Florida). I really wanted to love them because they are so soft and comfy. Today, I got all of my boot outfits out and tried them on again. I am sold. With skinny jeans, tights, etc. they look awesome - just no bare leg boot wearing! They are so comfortable and even though they are thin, I think they still seem to be really high quality. I ordered a 7½ after reading other reviews. I have wide feet and tend to order a half size up (8) in heels but stuck to the 7½ in these. I actually ordered the 7 today because the 7½ seemed really long and I think the 7 will be better. Also, as a few others said, if you have thick calfs these might not be for you. They look slouchy/loose but are really not. I have muscular legs but they worked for me.

I bought these in 2 colors, I love them. They are not overwhelmingly comfortable but not too bad. I'm tired of the really tall boot look so these are a nice change. Size wise, they seemed small at first but started to conform to my feet. I did not size up. I don't have a big calf just average and that was not an issue either. They are light so they travel well in my suitcase. I like the slightly crinkled look as well. They also look cute with a sun dress. I'll have them till they wear out or I do.

This year I have just discovered Frye boots and I am obsessed! I have now purchased four pairs and keep finding new styles to covet! The Anna Mid Pull On is my top favorite. Looks so good with skinny jeans and a tunic. Perfect chilly weather outfit. I got them in black but might go back for another color. They are comfortable from the get go. These are awesome boots! I love Frye!

This boot ticked all the boxes for me: no zippers, a little heel for just enough height, classic styling that lends itself to whatever I am wearing, textured leather on the boot's shaft to give solid black some punch, and just the right shaft height for my 5'5" frame, so that whether wearing jeans tucked in, or a pencil skirt, the proportion is right, giving me the appearance of longer legs and a leaner line than taller boots do. I normally wear a size 9, and own one other pair of Frye's (Melissa Button) in size 9, but I found the 9's in these to be too roomy, and so I went with the 8.5, which was slightly tighter than I would like on one foot, but after a couple of days of wearing them, they fit and feel great. If you need additional support, go with your regular size and there will be room for inserts or for problems that are helped with a little more room in the toe box. They will become your "got to" boots because they work well with everything.

Rich dark brown color, soft and comfortable leather. I am petite with short legs and find it extremely hard to fit in boots since the shaft is always too high and wide. These are perfect for someone with short, thin calves.

These boots are great, I ordered all 3 colors. They run a little small but not enough to order a half size up. Just wear thin socks or get the shoe repair to do a little stretch. Their height is perfect and heel height very practical. I gave them 4 stars because there is much variety in the leather. I ordered 2 pairs in order to take the one I liked better.

I have Frye's Veronica Slouch boots that I love dearly, so I've been looking for another pair of boots that are shorter or mid-calf. These boots fit my calves, but were maybe slightly snug over jeans. My main problem with them was that the leather is sort of soft in a way that I wasn't expecting that made me think they would slouch (in an uncool way) after awhile. They just didn't feel like hearty boots, more like a fashion option that lacks some of the rugged appeal that I think of when I wear Frye's. They also felt more narrow than my other Frye's. If you like these, I think they are worth a try because they are a great height and my other Frye's are stellar. These were just not for me.

Buyer beware. I have owned several pairs over the years and when these arrived, I noticed the inferior quality immediately. For these boots, the craftsmanship that Frye stood for is simply gone now in my opinion.

I've already complained about finding out these were made in China; stupidly thought it was too late to return them (by the way, I just saw that the web listing for Frye states "Made in America"). Now I've worn them twice and received a bad abrasion under my right ankle bone in the same spot both times. $378 for inferior, unwearable boots. What am I supposed to do? I'm a retired senior and these really were too expensive for me, but I wanted to give myself a birthday treat. What a disappointment!!!!!!

I don't purchase anything from China. I've trusted Frye boots so much for so many years, that I didn't even think to check on the origin of this $400 boot. I held onto the box to carry my art pieces to shows, and one day (after I had already worn the boots a few times) I happened to see that the boots were made in China. This was a HUGE splurge for me, and I'm extremely disappointed in the Frye company. Now I'm stuck with $400 Chinese boots, which is very depressing. (Yes, I did see that these boots were "imported," but I never expected them to be from China). What am I supposed to do with these boots now?! So disappointed in the Frye Company!!
