Little man wears a 2 1/2 and has a wide foot. We have a hard time finding wide enough shoes. I pretty much live in Salomon shoes myself and they can run narrow in some styles. I ordered a 3 and they fit perfectly. There is room in the toe box for a little growth, and the width is good. The traction is awesome for running up slides and climbing trees and the waterproof feature is great because he can get out in the mornings or after rain and not have to worry about soggy feet. And since I have hosed and scrubbed my shoes tons of times and they still hold up, I would expect the same from these. Time will tell.

We bought these to replace another manufacturers Gortex shoes. Our little guy is a typical hard charging shoe destroyer and these are surviving exceptionally well. From long hikes to bike rides, walking the hound in dewy grass to heavy rain these are keeping his feet dry. We even use them with woollies in the winter to go to the mall. The whole family wears Salomon and I like to have him in quality footwear. He can lace them himself and loves that...says he feels like a big boy! Lol!

Mama and kiddo both love these shoes. Kiddo says they're comfy and he loves the grip. Mama loves the locking laces, the waterproofing, and the durability. We've tested these all over Colorado and Alaska. So far so good!

My son has been wearing these shoes for years now. They last forever. We play lots of tennis and he STILL outgrows them before the sole wears out. It's AMAZING.Their sizing chart based on their measuring instructions is spot on. They are actually made to fit kid feet too with plenty of room for the TOP of the foot. If your kids used to wear Stride Rite (quality shoes) then these are the next step. Durable, rugged, great for everyday wear.

These are great shoes that have a great natural fit, excellent outsole grip, and good waterproofing. They are holding up well to lots of abuse. The quick pull lacing system is excellent and reduces a lot of stress and saves time. We really could not be happier with these shoes.
