The extra wide size is a fantastic fit and allows me to wear a shoe that fits length.

Ordered from Zappos for the first time and was very impressed. The sneakers ordered were right size, wrong width-my mistake. It was so easy to return the wrong size and I received the replacement sneakers within 24 hours. The whole process was so simple.

These are nice shoes but I could not get a pair that fit. I typically wear 13 4E but I tried 13 and 14 4E with no luck. They were both uncomfortably narrow.

Comfortable out of the box, mesh top feels better than the heavier top of my GEL 180 TRs, although the mesh on both shoes has some creasing that could be addressed. I assume this will work out with wear. Good fit, great support.

I purchased these as daily wear shoes to replace my Adidas Superstar 2G shoes that are no longer available. My ratings are in comparison to those shoes which were a staple in my wardrobe for over 15 years. I wear size 15 shoes. I purchased these shoes after trying the Gel-180TRs and finding them favorable. I need daily wear shoes with a solid upper because I work around laboratory chemicals. The 190 has a similar fit to the 180 (it appears to have the same sole) and it has a roomy toebox. The last feels similar to the Adidas 2G that I am replacing, and the arch support is excellent - I find it fits my foot better than the Adidas shoe did. The cushioning throughout the foot is excellent. When new they almost feel too soft, but they seem to mold to your foot with wear. I do worry a bit about durability because the high abrasion rubber on the heel is separated into four sections and the soft EVA makes contact with the ground in the middle. The synthetic upper doesn't feel that it breathes well. Overall the shoe is heavier than the Gel-180TR but lighter than my old 2Gs. I do wish that Zappos would carry the Gel-190TR Leather as I would like to try the shoe with a natural leather upper. If I cannot get the leather shoe, I would buy these again.

The fit on these is good, true to size and width. However these shoes do not breathe at all. They are actually really hot and uncomfortable to wear for an extended length of time.

NOT AS WIDE AS NEW BALANCE!
The 4E width definitely doesn't feel very wide. I normally wear New Balance 4E sneakers, and these are not nearly as wide. The footbed may be wider than the standard width, but the upper portion of the shoe doesn't feel bigger. Thus they were tight even with the laces loosened up so much that they looked ridiculous. Even with thin socks on, these were a no-go, and my feet are not so wide that I can't wear some "standard width" shoes as long as I have thin socks on. Very disappointed in these shoes, but very grateful for Zappos' awesome return policy!

Full disclosure: I'm trying not to be too judgmental on sizing, because recent foot swelling probably skews what I am used to. But my experience is similar to others. These sneakers do not seem wide enough to be a 3E, much less a 4E. The lace bridge is really wide and remaining lace to tie it up with is minimal. They are also a little short on length for me, but I know half-sizes are rare once you get to 13, so I won't harshly judge a little variance there either. It's a good look, especially if you are a going for a professional look, like a sports official.

I thought this would be a good choice but it wasn't. I have high arches & the arch on the right shoe felt like there was 2 lumps underneath the sole inserts where the stitching from the outside design met the shoe bed. Not near as cushioned as the Gel Foundation Walker that I'd been wearing for 10 months.

Not comfortable at all. The 180's were much better. Not good at all unless you have wude feet. No side support in the front part of foot. I sent them back.

This was my second purchase of Asics and I was not happy with them. I have worn New Balance and Nike shoes with no problem. I wear a size 15, 4E and have never had any issue with wearing either brand straight out of the box. This pair of Asics feel like a size 14 D and I can't even walk the dog in these shoes without it hurting my feet. Will not be ordering these shoes again. The original order had an issue and Zappos was quick to correct the problem and ship my order out to me.

I am on my feet all day at work. I wore them one day and it took three days to get over the foot pain. This is the worst pair of Asics that I have every bought. I am very disappointed, I wish that I could return them to Zappos. They felt so bad that I do not even want to wear them to cut grass.
