Absolutely love this shoe! I've always liked the way Converse look and have always wanted a pair but I just found them to be so uncomfortable with the lack of cushioning. This shoe solves that problem! They still have the traditional look of Converse (especially with pants), but the comfort of a more modern athletic shoe. I hope they keep this style around forever! Like regular Converse, they do run big though. Usually wear a men's 9 and I got a men's 8 in these and they fit perfect (women's 10).

Reading that these run a half size larger I ordered a half size smaller and they feel a half size smaller. Nice color, good looking but they lack arch support.

Super cute and super comfortable! I just have to wear socks that go above my ankles or else they rub them.

Zappos delivery, customer service and the product overall was nothing short of fantastic. Delivery was on time and packaging was just fine. Even with all this, I ordered a size too large and when I contacted customer service, a new pair was shipped out free of charge! I was able to send back the oversized pair free of charge as well. I am not aware of many businesses that allow free shipping on returns and on orders; however, that is a huge plus in my book. The shoes are constructed well, fit great and look fine. Just for the Chuck Taylor shoes just know they fit anywhere from a full to half size larger than advertised.

Prior to this purchase I was always hesitant about rocking the high tops (all I could see in the mirror was cankles). But the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High Street Mono Canvas Hi, despite the long name, lived up to the anticipation I had while clicking on the shipping tracking update a couple times a day. These are quality shoe that will hold up through the daily grind. Earning me many compliments at all the coffee shops I go to. Just enough Marty McFly to the look to keep your role fresh.

Love these shoes! I wear a 7.5 in woman shoes and ordered these in mens 5.5 and they are true to size. Now me and my boyfriend match lol!

I ordered this shoe for my wedding to go with my tuxedo. This was a last minute decision which required that I ordered two sizes of the same shoe to ensure a proper fit. In the past I have typically wore a 10.5 in the classic Chuck Taylors, so I was happy that I had ordered a size 11 as well, since that is the one that fit me best. This shoe really added a bit of "me" to my wedding outfit. The best part is that these shoes now come with good ankle support, so now I can go ride my bike and board in comfort, and with a little extra support and protection. Thanks Zappos. Also of note, I wear a size 11.5 in my New Balance walking/running shoes that I wear for work as a nurse and there is plenty of room for my toes in these new Chucks. I will likely add an insert to help support my arches. I hope this helps.

Excellent shoe. Great material. I haven't had a pair of Converse in 7 years and finally got these. Best buy I've made in a while. Needs better arch support but the support on the ankle is awesome and has good padding. I normally wear a 11.5 in Nike so I got a 11 in the converse because I heard to go a half size down. Fits well, you could probably go a full size down to be honest. I'll probably end up getting insole because I have flat feet and they'll fit perfectly.

I am very happy with these shoes. They are a great traditional Converse style but with a more rugged street build which includes a thicker tongue and more padding internal padding. They feel great and I really like outer panel on the upper part of the shoe. The look with pants over the shoes or with pants tucked behind the upper panel to show off the high top. I am definitely ordering a second pair. As usual Zappos delivered ahead of schedule and the shoes were in perfect condition.

Best of Converse! Great quality, great shape! If you think about buying them - do nit think, just buy! I have usually wear a size, but I ordered 8½ and they fit excellently!

This is a great shoe. It looks good. I wear them every day. In fact this is a back-up pair for a first pair. I ride bikes w them. Rubber toe is great for toe clips. The shoe works fine in the (casual) office. Size runs just a little long, and that's fine. Like all Chuck Taylors there's zero arch support - but w an orthotic insole it works great for me now. I have narrow feet, by the way, in case you're wondering whether your insole might fit inside - it likely will - unless perhaps if you have really wide feet and fill the shoe already. I do love the thicker ankle walls - better than typical Chuck Taylors. Also the lace-hole flap is purposely notched so the thicker sidewall flexes at the right place when you walk. Great design.

Great style however you'll want a sole insert if you'll be on your feet for a long period of time.

I love these sneakers, after my 1st pair, I was glad to have ordered another. I gym daily and prefer high top so these provided the ankle support although they are mid ankle. Just a fun sneaker.... now if they only had a zipper!! I tried to reorder a 3rd pair but couldn't find them on this site... so zappos, if they have returned - please let me know!!

Not exactly what I was wanting, but close enough I guess. I think what I was trying to replace were a limited edition. I do love the ankle support and the padded tongue.

Love the style of Chuck Taylors. I liked that these had additional padding on the uppers. They were more comfortable than your standard Chuck Taylors. The material held up well. I walk 3-4 miles every day, and managed to wear a hole through both of the soles after about 4-5 months of wear. My only complaint would be that the soles wore out that quickly, but otherwise I think they're great shoes.

These are mostly fine but please be aware that the top/ankle portion of this has padding and is much bulkier than on the standard high tops. Easy to miss if you're used to the originals and only took a quick look at the pictures. The laces that came with these are also way too long.

They fit perfectly

I absolutely adore these shoes! I’d previously purchased the all gray ones and the black and white ones and loved both of them, so I was really happy when my size came back in stock. Perhaps the gray ones are of a slightly different line or maybe I don’t quite remember how narrow they felt, but these do feel a bit tight near the toe section. I do have ever so slightly wider than normal feet but it generally isn’t a problem. That’s a bit uncomfortable but I’m going to wear them a bit to stretch them out. Aside from that, these are great. They look good with all black outfits for sure.

Cute sneaker but after a long wear, this shoe hurts my feet

All my Converse I own are a Women's 5. These 5's are padded on the inside unlike the typical Converse sneaker and squashed my feet so bad, even with the thinnest sock on. So I exchanged them for a 5.5, which are still kinda tight but fit OK with a thin sock, I have been breaking them in all week. I couldn't go to a 6 because they would be to long.

This is a dope looking shoe. Keep in mind, it's still a Chuck Taylor so there's no magic in construction or comfort: they're super basic. I wish there was more arch-support and stuff, but I kind knew what I was getting into. Nevertheless, I really dig the mid-top kind of thing going on. These are really cool looking shoes.

I wish I had listened to the review saying the do not seem to run large. I ordered a half size smaller and had to return them. I will be purchasing them in the original size I intended, however. I love the shoes and they do offer a bit more support than your average Converse.
