I ordered these in Regular because no Short was available. However, after I received them I was surprised that they were only 3 inches or so longer. I'm only 5'. It hasn't been extremely cold in my neck of the woods yet but in 10 degree weather with my omnishield base layer on, I was never cold af all. I had lots of range of motion and stayed completely dry while working out in the snow. I am not a fan of the waist cinch because it is Velcro and tends to rub and not stay in place.

After the winter we had last year, all I wanted was a pair of snow pants that will keep me warm and fit well. I'm really happy with the color ("night shadow") and I can't wait to go play in some snow!

My granddaughter loved these pants that I gave to her for Christmas. She lives in Fairbanks and they were used immediately!

Although a little big, I would probably fit an XS, but it was not noticeable while being out. I went snowshoeing and never felt cold in my legs. I wore tights underneath but the times I didn't they were still warm and I don't need to wear tights again next time. Highly recommended.

Even though temperatures have sunk to the 20s and teens with single-digit wind chills, the Michigan winter is just beginning. It will get colder. I ordered the stylish Bugaboo snow pants to walk the dog and let her run on the dog park's open field (moving continuously myself to keep internal organs warm). I ordered them for function, not fashion. The pants have everything I need and want: reflective Omni-Heat lining, waterproof Omni-Tech outer layer, sturdy snap waistband closure and a hook-and-loop strip to seal the edges of the snap placket, zippered hand pockets and zippered pocket on the lower right leg. The lining ends with heavy elastic, ankle-base gaiters that seal boots against snow, cold, and wet. The outer layer covers boots almost to the sole. The black of the pants matches my black Alpine Action jacket perfectly. My only concern is that the waistband is about 4" too big. I'm 5'6", 135 lbs., and usually wear a 6 or 8 in today's sizes. For the Bugaboo pants, I followed the size and fit guide, figuring a little too big is better than too small. But these pants are fitted. They're tailored, and when they're too big at waist and hips, they look distinctly baggy. Mine are falling off. My old snow pants used more bulk to produce less warmth and much less security at the ankles. They didn't have room for a pair of cords between them and a base layer. Instead, I wore a base layer and corduroys under a waterproof and windproof ski-pant shell, not a solution for the coldest days. The Bugaboo pants don't feel like they need a second layer underneath. I always wear three layers on top--two thermal tops under a fleece turtleneck or a heavier base layer, and thermal base-layer leggings. (I added a Columbia Omni-Heat pair this year. They are fantastic.) My hands are always protected by heavy gloves and glove liners, my ears by a fleece headband and a good ski hat, and my feet by heavy ski socks and high-end, zippered snow boots. In extreme cold, I add a fleece neck gaiter, sock liners, and a soft-lined neoprene mask that covers everything beneath the eyes except nostril openings and light perforations over the mouth. All the pieces have to work and fit together. I hope three tucked-in top layers will fill out the Bugaboo waist, but I'll probably have to return them instead. A medium would have worked much better. The description and image portray pants that look like any in the closet. I just trusted the size guide more. I'd rather have fit and function over fashion in snow gear any day. I whole-heartedly recommend these pants, but I also recommend buying them in your regular size.

I'm excited to try these on the slopes. I'm average height, a whopping 5'4", they're like goldilocks slacks - just the right length. The waist and hip is a tad large but that's to be expected since I have a small waist, but you do want some wiggle room when you're an experienced skier like myself falling down the bunny slope on your face. The hot dots are great to give your legs that little extra heat boost, and the material is well made and sewn and I have no worries it will survive this trip and any futures ones (if I survive that is). Worth every penny y'all!

I ordered these online and was worried about the fit. I am 5' 3" 132 lbs, and the small/short size fit perfect. I ordered the purple color and the color is bright, love it!

Needing new ski pants for trip to Canada Wanted something warm but not too heavy. The bugaboo pants were less expensive but not thermolite. Wanted short length but not available

I sized up one size when I purchased as I wanted extra room for layering. The Velcro tabs at the waist help make the waist smaller. These will keep me warm during the MN winter.

Love Bugaboo and Love Omni Heat! It's a perfect marriage to stay warm in the cold. This is my second pair and I'm pretty tough on them getting into a mountain cabin all winter.

Ordered pant for my wife to use on our annual ski trip and she was very pleased with fit and quality. I purchased the omni heat jacket last year to use. When it arrived I thought, "this is kind of thin for ski jacket"... I got HOT... Quality great, function great, would recommend the omni heat products to everyone. Hope this helped you make a decision.

Wore my first pair of Columbia Bugaboo ski pants for 29 years. Even after I tore my ACL, MCL, LCL on the slopes in Colorado, the wonderful doctors/nurses got them off without cutting them off. Wore them for another 3 seasons. Last year I thought it was time to buy a new pair. I tried on Patagonia, The North Face, Marmot, and Acr'yeryx and none of them gave me the leg room for my custom knee brace. Columbia's Bugaboo Omni-Heat Ski pants did. I love to ski and I love the snow, but I so dislike being cold. The Omni-Heat system kept my legs nice and warm. A+ in my book. The wide leg opening is perfect for to cover the tops of both my Sorel winter boots and my ski boots. It's a perfect design. I'm 50 years old and plan on skiing into my later 80's God willing. This might be my last pair I ever buy, but if I need to bought another pair of ski pants I'll go straight for a pair of Columbia's. They are made to last. I'm a PROUD wearer of Columbia ski pants for now 31 years!

I love these! They are great snow pants that have an adjustable waist with a very comfortable waist band. I am 5' 1" and they are not too long. They just touch the floor and are perfect with boots. Nice and warm too. A great buy and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks!

This is my second pair of Columbia ski pants. My last pair of these pants are now over 6yrs old and still in great condition. The white has a few stains on it but otherwise fine. These pants fit like a glove and now come with the omni lining! I would highly recommend getting these quality pants.

This's my third Columbia skiing pant, I like the omni-heat so much. You'll need a breathable pant when you're doing some exercise. Just size M is way big than size S, but it's a good news that I'm not that fat. Ha!

My old ski pants gave up the ghost and I needed a new pair for a trip. These fit great, and are nice and warm. The flair at the bottom of the leg is a bit large, but it really doesn't matter. Love the back and side pockets. Definitely would buy these again.

I bought these ski pants after trying on a few other Brands that I tried on in stores. They are by far the most comfortable ski pants I've worn to this day, and I've been skiing for 30 years. The lining keeps you super warm, even with just a pair of leggings under them. No need for long underwear with the special lining! They fit true to size, I'm a size 6 in regular pants so I ordered a Medium and they are perfect. Just loose enough for a layer or 2 under them but tight enough to be very stylish. I am on the hippy side and the waist on these pants is perfect. They are definitely cut with a smaller waist in mind.

Went snowboarding on a snowy, windy day with weather that's just below freezing temp and this product was amazing! It truly kept water out and insulated my legs well (I did have one 2 layers of leggings). The size was on point with much room for mobility. It helped keep me warm for 4 hours out in the snow and snowboarding.

I own 2 Omni Heat jackets that I love. I have metal plates in my leg and when it's cold outside my leg gets very cold and long underwater just don't keep me warm enough so I thought I would try these and they work beautifully. I am 5'5", 170 and typically ware a large so that's what I order these in. They are slightly tight in the waist but not uncomfortable (I only put leggings under them) and they could have a little shorter but other than that I am happy I purchased them.

Love this color, most reviews stated true to size, unfortunately I had to return my order because it was tight. Ordered a medium and needed to upsize to large but the color was no longer available and had to return for a full refund. I ordered the same from another company for size large and it was perfect. Kept me warm riding a motorcycle on a 21 degree.I gave 5 stars even though I had to return the item because it deserves it! Love omni heat!!!!!

Bought these to replace a 10+ year old pair of Columbia snow pants that no longer fit. The Omni-Heat material is rather thin and looks like aluminum foil. However, it's NOT scratchy or uncomfortable against your skin. It's definitely WARM. I wore these pants out on a walk with a wind chilll around -10F, just to see how they performed. I only had cheap fleece tights on underneath and I was toasty. The wind did not cut through. I would recommend this product. They do seem to run large. According to the size chart, I needed a 2X. I bought those first. They were SO big they fell off me. Skipped on the 1X and just ordered an XL. They are still a little big, but they allow enough room for layering. The size chart needs to be updated.
