Throughout the years I have owned and used many vests across many brands. What I've found is I use this the most because of it's incredible versatility. I use it year round both casually and for hiking/skiing/backpacking. The weight to warmth ratio is perfect. For reference, I am 171cm, 150lbs and purchased a small. It works well over my base layer. Anything more than a base layer and light fleece wouldn't work.

Purchased as a superlight down vest - needed a warm hug on those winter days (but also don't want that hug when things heat up). Realised it would be good as a just in case add on under a shell if I was feeling cold. Wish they added at least one interior stash pocket (so that the stuff sack doesn't have to go inside the only chest pocket) - similar to how the Nuclei FL has stash pockets.

I just lost mine on one of my many trips and I truly miss it. Versatile, stylish, light. Just tried to buy another one and out of stock. Very sad.

This is the perfect under garment for cold days and a great over garment for golf or other dry weather outdoor activities. It is stylish enough to wear to a restaurant over a long sleeved shirt. I would recommend it highly.

Bought this for a bit of added warmth but for an October trip to NYC. Was perfect for the crisp cool days to keep me warm but not to heavy to feel weighted down.

I was looking for a light weight vest without too much bulk or length, and this vest fit the bill perfectly. This isn't the vest you'd choose for the dead of winter cold, but it's excellent for something to throw on over a t-shirt in the crisp morning or cool of evening in late spring or early fall.
I am 39 years old, 5'11'' and 165 lbs. so clothing can look bulky on me unless it's cut for an athletic or slim build (which is harder and harder to find). This vest is nice and slim but also not too long. I have a "normal" length torso, and the vest comes down below my belt line but stops above my hip pocket. Perfect. At the same time, it isn't too tight to the point where it's form-fitting or constricting. I have a CCW permit, and nothing "prints" on my side when wearing this vest zipped.
My only small complaint is that it does not have an interior pocket. I really like having an interior pocket for a passport, other important documents, or even a spare magazine.
All in all another excellent product by Arcteryx.

My Cerium Vest goes literally everywhere with my. I use all the time on the colder days in the mountains when I am snowboarding or splitboarding in the backcountry, but I also take it on most of my business trips, where I even wear underneath my suit jacket or just at home when I go shopping in the city or play football with my boys.
It hardly takes any space in my backpack or suitcase, is super comfortable and functions perfectly as both a top layer or middle layer and it looks good enough to wear when having a drink on a terrace when the evening starts cooling down.
I have had this jacket for over 8 years now and there are no signs of wear and tear whatsoever. Next year I am going splitboarding in Lofoten and my Cerium Vest will be with me and on me all the time.

I have enjoyed this vest more than I expected. Purchased top wear under a sport coat while traveling to clients. It performs perfectly for this task and packs up into nothing to fit in my brief case.
I did not expect to enjoy wearing it around the house for a little extra in the winter. In the morning I grab a long sleeve T-shirt and toss on the vest and perfect for our house that we keep at 66 F/19c.
I wish I could tell you about winter activities I use this vest on but its staying in the dress clothes pile for now. A note on fit at 5'11" 210 I likely could have gone with an XL, but I like the tightness as a reminder that I still have some LBS to loose by choosing the L.

The Cerium series was designed for speed. The scant (mere ounces) medium doesn't ask to keep you warm, it just does! It's purposefully frilless. A must for the alpinist, ascentionsit that believes in acquiring the best in weightless warmth!

This garment is one of my all time favorites, I wear it as a top layer over sweaters or even short sleeve shirts when it is a bit cooler. I wear it as a second layer under my wind shirt on cold golf days and stay incredibly warm and comfortable, or as an extra layer on extremely cold skiing days. . So lightweight that you never even know you have it on except for the fact that you are never cold.

This vest is uber light and warm for its weight. Well fitting for heat retention. Moves with you in its soft material construction and smooth outer and inner surfaces. Stretchy ribbing around the shoulders and back hem keeps the close fitting vibe flowing. Nice medium height collar with chin guard and kissing welt. Chest pocket is the only pocket this vest has. No handpockets.
I'd say the Fit is slim but reasonable. I'm a small in all ArcT gear and this vest holds true. Goes great over T-s for casual or LS outdoor shirts for active pursuits. Under my shell is no issue for colder climates.
The down is grey goose. So if you choose a lighter color, it will show through, just FYI. I chose dark, so you only see the down inside vs outside.

This is one of my best Arcteryx purchases. Warm, comfy, looks and performs great. Ever since buying it I've almost always carried it in my daypack outdoors or office environment. It's great to have around should the temperature change rapidly.
I typically use it in the mountains, often as a mid layer under a Windstopper shell. The most interesting application? I took it with me on a diving trip - even in tropical waters, one gets cold after multiple dives. Warming up on a boat on South Pacific wearing a down vest? Awesome!

You will have a hard time not wearing this vest daily.
This is a great piece to take with you everywhere. You can wear this on a daily basis with a pair of jeans and button down, but also bring with you for added warmth on trail or in the backcountry.
Good combo of goose down with some synthetic in the shoulders. Comes with its own stuff sack, and gets down to about the size of a baseball.

I love this vest, nice and slim fitting (not boxy at all). Quality is what you would expect from arcteryx. I am 5'8" 155lbs and wear a small.

I bought this as a light weight insulation solution for backpacking trips during warmer months. I've taken it out on 1 trip and it performed excellently. I wish it had hand pockets. I would have happily taken it a little heavier for that function. But this is for my warmed trips, so hand pockets aren't a must.

I tried the LT vest on in store but they didn't carry the SL ... I was a Large in the LT so ordered a Large in the SL ... it was shipped to my home the next day and was loose and sloppy... a totally different fit than the LT ... return sticker was in the box... return process was super easy and my credit card was credited the next day... bought the medium and am very happy with it ... I am usually a medium
