My son has a very narrow foot and wears a size 15. He said they felt comfortable. Most shoes are big and sloppy looking on him. These looked great! He hasn't used them yet. But from looking at the other reviews, I'm sure they will be comfortable.

Felt great out of the box, and even better with some use. I wear these when working around the ranch and they're super comfortable. Too bad they're always dirty, because I love the look of these shoes. I may get another, non-working pair.

I recently bought a pair of Peakfreak Venture Mid Waterproof Omni-Heat boots from Zappos.com and I'm really pleased with the shoe! Not only are they the most comfortable boots I've ever owned but they are also water proof and I would recommend these boots to anyone looking for a light weight water proof boot. They are also very well made and they are going to last me a long time.

I was looking for a dry comfortable light weight boot and decided on Columbia (my second pair). Excellent comfort out of the box.

I will preface my comments by saying I am not a person who hikes. I bought these show because I'm looking for comfort and back support because I work at a club and stand a lot. This shoe was my 2nd choice but I am happy that I didn't get my 1st choice. I got these shoes by comparing it to my 1st choice and reading comments made on Zappos about my 1st choice and this shoe. Plus I like the look of the shoes. If you are a hiker, you will know what you are looking for. If you want comfort and support, if you stand a lot, you should try these shoes.

This is a very comfortable hiking boot. I purchased this boot for work to have something light, comfortable, and also it has the benefit of being waterproof! Zappos was extremely prompt in processing my order and shipping it out. I will be purchasing the low cut next to have as an option.

I’m a woman with extra wide feet (size 8/8.5) and I have been looking for boots for months. I can sometimes get away with wearing a men’s WW size 7 (if they run smaller) and this just happened to be one of those times. Thank God. I was able to do a half day hike yesterday with these and had no issues. The break-in period has been next to nothing. Initially I wasn’t crazy about the style so I colored in the designs with marker and got some red laces and now I’m happy. Sad to see these might be out of stock forever, but I did order a 2nd pair just in case. Thank you Zappos.

The fit for a 16" E-wide is as comfortable as I have ever had in a boot! The boot provides nearly an inch of big toe space, an issue for me in previous size appropriate boots I've worn. The laces can be pulled snug around a foam-type material tongue with some effort tugging laces from bottom-to-top rungs, with the result of ankle support without discomfort from over-tightening laces. Have worn in 20 degree weather, rainy-puddle days in dry warmth. The lightweight design is a major plus as I use these boots for six hours of outdoor walking overtime the weather conditions call for it. Sturdy appearance is defined first by its utility, then secondly by its fashion.

Hoped these would be a good fit in the 2E. Narrower than a Keen Dustin and New Balance 12.5 4E. Wish I could make them work but they're just too narrow.

WAY to small. I got a 13D. The top of the boot has no padding to speak of so cut into my leg/ankle. The boots seemed much smaller than the stated size. I really liked the style though. I returned the boots but did not reorder these. I think though that the Wide would have fit better in this model.

These boots fit snug like a glove, and protect me from the elements very, very well. I was sad when my previous pair of Columbia books wore out (after 10+ years), but so far these have become an excellent replacement. The styling is more modern and although the outside tongue gets a little bunched at times (just in appearance), it doesn't hamper the wearing of them. Love these.

The shoe fits well enough. I got a half size larger than I normally get based on reviews. I think it is a good fit, but did not have a chance to compare it against my normal size.

The Peakfreak looks like a snow sneaker, but sadly it doesn't have the flexibility of a sneaker and feels more like a boot when you wear it. It does however keep you warm and it is waterproof (I've run through giant puddles of slush, water, snow and haven't had any cold water get through to my socks or feet). With respect to warmth, it does such a good job of keeping your feet warm that at temperatures slightly above freezing (e.g., 34 degrees fahrenheit) your feet will sweat, and for a second you might think that water got through to your socks (like I did), but upon further inspection you should realize that it's actually just a combination of moisture build up from your feet and poor breathability from the boot (moisture definitely does not wick away). With respect to size, I had to go a half-size down from what I usually wear in order to get a good fit in this boot--I was swimming in it at my usual size of 10.5. Once I moved down to a size 10 it was quite snug but gave away a little space after wearing it for a few days. Sadly, even at the size 10 it didn't hug my foot width-wise like I would prefer, but it will work as is. In summary, this is a warm, waterproof boot that feels like a boot, is a half-size too big, and has a wider than average base.

I was so looking forward to these boots. Great reviews, great look, not clunky, reputable brand, came in wide. Way to narrow even in wide. I'm going to return and get a half size up hoping that will make them a little bigger overall. I'll report back when I get them.

This the 4th pair of the same boots I’ve purchased for my son. Loved them all, except for this last pair. Inside one of the boots, on the back by the heel there was a small hard plastic shard that cut into my son’s foot. He was leaving for camp and I didn’t have the time to return the boots or buy a new pair, so I had to cut it off. I’m just happy that we found it before he left.
