I wanted to like these pants. I really did after reading the reviews, but they are just not cut right for me. Too high in front and too low in the back... Pants felt like they were falling off when I walked or moved. Thigh cut was good and loved the color and “look” but not the overall functionality. Other brands athletic and lower rise cuts fit me better.

The pants fit well except for too much room on sides where material gathered while wearing. Liked the fit in waist and lower legs. I am a big guy so thought this product would be a good solution for me. They stay at the waist line fairly well, just too much cloth in certain areas. Also, the pants are fairly light weight.

I'll start with the positives: I love the wash and distressed look (mostly) of these jeans (toto). I previously purchased some athletic fit True Nation jeans and twills pants, as well as some athletic fit Levi's. They've all been great. I have larger thighs and a larger waist, but my legs are relatively smaller. Jeans of other fits are almost always too baggy and bunched. Due to the tapered legs, athletic fit has generally been great. Now onto the negatives: For some reason, this particular pair is giving me trouble. I first ordered these one size smaller, but they were tight in the crotch. After exchanging them for a size larger, that problem remains. On top of that, the legs have felt larger and too baggy/bunchy both times. Next, while this isn't a deal breaker, there is no fabric underneath the distressed holes which can be a little bit awkward, especially the higher up the tears go. The True Nation distressed jeans smartly had fabric sewn beneath most of the holes, and longer pockets for the distressing near the top. As with any online purchases, the fit is usually a roll of the dice. Therefore, none of the tags have been removed and these may be returning these. A bummer, as I really like the look of the jeans. They just don't fit well on my body. If I do keep them, they'll likely undergo some DIY tailoring.

I have 3 pairs of 541 jeans and I love them. This pair unfortunately is 2 inches shorter than my other pairs, and for that I am returning them. I am over 6'6.

Levis really needs to stop calling these athletic "Tapered" fit. These jeans are nowhere near tapered, past the knee. They flair out unnecessarily below the knee like bell bottoms, and arent the least bit tapered at the bottom around the ankles.

Very uncomfortable in the crotch area and waist area. The rips on the top should've had some fabric cause I can see it ripping worse and not looking atttesctive. P

Jeans are cut small. I recommend a size or 2 larger

Ripped once had repaired then ripped again. That's just from sitting and standing.

The jeans color was NOT as dark as it appears in the online ad! Furthermore, the stitching was not uniform and not all the same color, either. But the worst was the fit! I purchased the 541 9in a lighter color) in-store but had to purchase the darker pair online. The salesman assured me it would EXACTLY the same fit, however once I received them, they were tight at the waist, there was no stretch, and felt tight in the legs, as well.

I bought these jeans in the rigid dragon color. They run way too small. I have lots of Levi jeans so when I bought these I thought they would fit with no problem. I washed them before trying them on big mistake. This is the first pair where my size was not correct to the fit. After reading reviews on line I found this is a common problem with the 541. So my suggestion is don't by these until you try them on if you can actually get them on. Very disappointed with this purchase wasted my money.

I was truly looking forward to purchasing two pairs of the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit Jeans in TORO. Unfortunately, I very disappointed with this purchase first of all the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit is made of 100% cotton they are not a STRETCH pair of jeans due to the fact the TORO style 541 are not made with the combination of Cotton/Spandex. All of my prior purchases of the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit Jeans are STRETCH and made with the Cotton/spandex and they all fit PERFECT. The LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit in Blue Merit or Lake Merrit, White, Blue Canyon, Black and Midnight in size 40X36 and these are the best fitting LEVI'S with a comfortable waist, seat, thighs and tapered cut and they all are STRETCH and made with either Cotton/Spandex or Cotton/Elastane. My initial purchase of the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit in TORO was in size 40X36 they did not fit at all so I went up in the waist size and purchased two pairs in 42X36 and two pairs in 44X36 again they don't fit either. Again, the problem with the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit in TORO they don't STRETCH and they are not made with the either the Cotton/Spandex or Cotton/Elastane combination. Very disappointed with my overall purchase of the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit in TORO hopefully DXL Men's Apparel can request the LEVI'S Company to product their LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit in TORO with STRETCH and made with either Cotton/Spandex or Cotton/Elastane combination. Needless to say I am returning my recent purchase of the LEVI'S 541 Athletic Fit in TORO that are not STRETCH back to DXL Men's Appeal. Disappointed Customer!!!

Not a true fit.

The product was good when I tried it on at the store. After wearing the jeans all day I was not satisfied. Levi's have a few different brands 501, 541, 561, etc. I will try a different one in the future.

I purchased these a size larger so that I would be able to wash and dry not the case they shrunk so bad I just wasted my money for as much as these costs and the name Levi's never again. They are now to small so disappointed.

These jeans look awesome, but do not fit. I ordered two pairs, both the same size and the dark color does not fit.

Very low rise in the seat area, does not fit like jeans of the same cut.

Doesn't fit as advertised

I went into the local store and tried on the Levi's 541 Athletic Fit in the Blue Canyon color (the ONLY color available in stores). The style is flattering because it doesn't have a ton of extra fabric at the back of legs. The 56 was way too big at the waist and the 54 fit great with just a little wiggle room (comfortable). I need the Rigid Dragon color for work, because it is the only PLAIN, DARK JEAN, WITHOUT DISTRESS MARKS. I ordered the 54 and when it arrived it was very tight, like it was a 52 and there was zero stretch in the fabric. I had to go through a horrible exchange process because this color isn't in the stores and after ordering the larger size online through the store, corporate later placed the item on backorder and never told me or the store. I got them to eventually send both a 54 and 56 to compare the sizing issue and this color is in fact NOT TRUE TO SIZE. I expect a 54 to be a 54 across the board (especially when in the same style). A mile is still a mile no matter what car you are driving. That is why we have units of measurement, for consistency. I kept the 56, but it doesn't have any stretch and combined with the slim design makes it a bit constrictive. I'll use these for work only, but not hanging out or going out. Also, weirdly they were still very stiff and wrinkled a lot after the wash.
