I use this coat when I walk around campus. It does a great job at protecting me from the cold.

The jacket fits like a glove, it's comfortable and super lightweight and will definitely make this my every day coat

I was looking for a super warm jacket and I think I found it in The North Face Gotham jacket. I've tried it out in blustery, cold weather and found that it worked. It's lightweight and doesn't feel constrictive. On extra cold days I've added a light sweater and it's just perfect.

I ordered my usual size, which is Medium. It felt too snug, especially when I will be wearing winter clothing underneath. I had to return it and order a size up. That being said, I love everything else about this jacket!

So I got this for myself and don't get me wrong I am am able to zip up when trying it on but thought I should have gotten the 3x. When calling 800 number was told they don't have an exchange policy and I would have to return it and repurchase it. So on my end I would have to wait for the money to go back on my debit card to do so. Than not only that but when I purchased my jacket I received an extra 10% off, and the young lady I talked to also suggested when repurchasing I could call back and explain that and maybe get it added on. I feel like it could be easily answered if there was an exchange not returning it to do so. I love the coat and color just wanted a little more room.

This is the first purchase from The North Face. I have heard a lot about this product, I thought I would try to for myself.

This coat was great. I was expecting it too be heavy but actually it was light. I can't wait to use this coat in the winter and really test it out. I have high hopes for it.

Casual wear everyday

It looked super cute on the site but once I got it I think it's a little too casual for my liking. It was also shorter than I thought. I usually wear a small in women's but the fit is more like a small in juniors. It is a nice jacket, just not for me. I will be returning this.

The jacket is really nice and comfy. Color is an odd white / beige. Fitted at the waist. Only problem is the right zipper broke just a day after I received it in the mail..going to take to the store to have them fix it though.

Very light and fit well. It's very warm, and pretty.

I asked for one for Xmas and made sure I read all the size measurements, when I got it was a bit snug, but other then I like that it's warm a light.

I love the weight and color of this jacket, and am happy with it until I have to zip it. Up or down it is a frustrating, time-consuming experience whether I'm trying to zip it up or down. Hate it. I'm 5'4" and weigh about 120, wear a size six, and while the "around" fit is good, it seems to be too tight at the top of my hips and makes it feel like it's hanging up there. I keep tugging at the bottom, but that's no help. I have small hips, so it's not that I have extra fat there. I have lymphedema in one arm, which tends to be problematic with sleeves, but these are great, not to loose and not too tight, even with a couple of light layers. Overall, if it wasn't for the zipper, I would be happy. A looser fit over the hips would have me looking forward to wearing it.

I needed a new winter jacket and this is perfect!! I got a size up so I can layer well and the fit is nice. It's very warm and also stylish.

Got this in my normal size and fit wad just a tad bit tight around the shoulders but I'm pretty top heavy. Unfortunately had to return. I wish you made one size bigger, I would definitely buy again!

I prevuously owned last years Gotham jacket, and now this years Gotham ll. Last years version was definatly warmer, also had a way better fitted look, the jacket this year is not as fitted on the waist, also this years version seems to be loosing a lot of feathers, and tye zipper is not as sturdy. I do like this years jacket, but definatly believe last years version was much better quality and looks.

This is a nice, cute, warm coat, not too long, but covers your hips and waist so you're warm enough, and is very comfortable. I have two issues that will likely result in my returning it. First, there is a contoured type "cinch" in the waist line that gives an hourglass effect to the body shape. This exaggerates the curves of the hips and butt, which for someone like me who already has these curves, is not a plus. I feel like it makes me look hippier than I am. This could be a plus for some figures but not mine. Secondly, my last NF coat had the snap covers over the zipper which I liked, and I didn't realize this one didn't have that when I bought it. Not a deal breaker, but since I'm taking it back anyway I will look for that detail on whatever I buy.

I haven't had the coat long but I must say I am really happy with it so far. It looks expensive and well worth the price. The fur on the hood is lovely however I wish the hood was slightly larger as it can be restricting with certain hairstyles. I haven't worn this coat in extreme weathers but so far I have been extremely warm and sometimes hot when wearing it, I also wore on the plain which can get quite cold and I was sweating. I ordered a small which fits well, I usually order an XS so I recommend ordering a size up. It also soaks up light rain well and doesn't get soaked, I'm not sure how it will do in extreme wet conditions.

I'm happy it super light but still warm. Just not a fan of the hood. The zipper on it is odd

I always use it to travel

It's warm but isn't enough for very cold weather like Boston's weather in Jan and Feb. very stylish and good quality.

I picked this up in a small black and it fits well (I'm 5'7", 125lbs, broad shouldered). I don't feel restricted when walking around the city and hiking (it's surprisingly lightweight) even when wearing a heavy sweater. The hood doesn't obscure your forward vision, and the down fill was perfect for the 20-40*F temp range. And it just looks nice. The only things I'd like to see improved is maybe a cinch or elastic sleeve opening and larger pockets (hard to reach into them wearing bulky gloves and mittens).
