Worn to work. Comfortable but not as comfortable as more expense style comparable to this one.

I bought a pair of the original Teva's Forebay about 10 years ago and I've loved them. They're comfortable and lasted forever. I'm still wearing them although they look a bit worn out now. So I decided to buy a new pair. They were also on sale on Cabela's website. When I received them, I was disappointed in the color change. The new ones are more like grayish-brown, or perhaps brownish-gray (to be more precise).. I dislike the new brownish gray color. They look like a pair of dirty/dusty old sandals they need some shoe-shine polishing.. At first, I thought these were fake/knock-off ones, but then I thought Cabela's is quite reputable and they wouldn't sell fake/knock-off products. So I came here to Teva's website to read some reviews and found that others also complained about the same color change. Ugh! Aside from the color, I also noticed some differences in the stiching details compared to my original pair. Also the tounges of the new pair go up a little higher on the new one, making them slightly more difficult to put on and take off. I can't really tell yet how that will affect the comfort when wearing them for a long time. The heel cups also feel stiff, but perhaps they just need to be broken in first. We'll see.. Regardless, I don't think these are knock-off/fake ones, but rather a poor outcome of some redesigning by Teva's. I always wonder why many companies often times managed to change/redesign their great products and made them worse. Haven't you heard "f it ain't broken, don't fix it!"?? Perhaps there was need to cut cost and thus decided to cut corners and reduce quality, etc. to make more profit?? What a shame!! Regardless, I am really disappointed in Teva's that my new pair of Teva's Forebay sandals are not like the old original one. What a shame! But let's see if these last as long and are as comfortable.
Note: One thing that hasn't changed is the sizing. I knew to order one size smaller than my regular size.

Second time purchasing this shoe because of the comfort and keeping feet cool. Unfortunately the new pair is stiff and causing blisters on the back of my feet. I don't want to wear socks because I wear these when kayaking. I'm not as happy with the product as I was with my first purchase.

Coloring does not resemble picture. These are narrower as is the last Teva shoe I bought. I've bought both of these before, and the strap on the new ones only goes about halfway across your foot. Not getting what I'm expecting. May not buy again.

Ordered two pair of these to get 20% off and replace my old pair. When I received them, I noticed that they were gray, not the Turkish Coffee (brown) as in the description and pictures. The middle part by the strings is brown but all of the leather parts are gray. I also noticed some other differences when compared to my old pair. So I called Teva and told them about it. They said to send them back to exchange for the right color, which I did. Just received the replacements and they're exactly like the ones that I sent back, GRAY. So beware if you plan on ordering these. They're GRAY NOT BROWN.

This is a great looking sandal. My only problem- and I hope to remedy it - is that I wore it into NYC and was faced with the dreaded "it's cutting into my achilles heel" situation. I had to stop at a CVS to buy heel protectors to stop the sandal from making an uncomfortable situation even worse.
I'm going to try and affix some moleskin to the shoe and hopefully that will solve the problem.

These are very undersized. I wear a men's 10 but had to return a pair and order an 11. I had a genuine leather pair with a leather insole that lasted 12 years. I could wear them without socks and walk miles in them. This new model is synthetic and has no insole. I got blisters on both feet soles and now wear the sandals with socks. Maybe my feet will toughen up and I'll try without socks in the future. All in all, I wish I could rebuy the older models.

The color was gray, not Brown and they were a half size to small, so I sent them back.

The sandal was the right size(although it did seem a little small compared to all my size 11 shoes).
The problem I had was after wearing them for a couple hours without socks I got blisters on both feet from the tongue rubbing on my ankle.

I was really saddened by this order, I purchased it as a gift for my husband and it arrived in the wrong color and size. It was supposed to be coffee brown size 10 and a size 9.5 light grey is what was sent.

Had exact pair for 7 or 8 years and were one of my favorite sandals ever. The new pair I just bought, were the same size as the other pair and didn't fit, and had to return them. Not only that, the qualty definitely was not the same. Not sure if you are using a different factory and/or materials but something was off.

The color of the shoes was not close to what was received. More of a black charcoal color.

Had my first pair of these for 10+ years and loved them. After the soles literally fell off, I decided to do it again. I'm not sure if the quality has changed, necessarily. But, this pair rubbed a hole in the back of my heel within an hour. Thought they'd have improved the model since it's been around so long, but am not anxious to put them on again....like I was with the older ones.

I had a previous pair which I really liked. This new pair gives me blisters on my heals and I can't wear them for any length of time.

Yes, probably will buy again. I know the flaws and ain't happy about it but its better than starting over with something I don't know about. I've been a loyal teva wearer for years..I liked everything about them. Times change though and unfortunately my feet are still the same. This pair I received about a year and a half ago..so two summers of hikes and walks..hell, they are my summer footwear, which is about 5 months out of the year. As a new sandal they rubbed me raw on the back of my heel around the tendon..it stopped as I wore them. I dealt with that, no prob new footwear can be a pain but when the soles wore out and a hole appeared on the bottom I was surprised. Never happened before with previous tevas I wore. Five years I got off the last pair, same make. I guess quality is an issue with every brand, it never seems to improve but I am disappointed a trusted name didn't live up to prior expectations

I ordered these because the size 11 was too big in another Teva style. These had great potential but two factors made them disappoint: First, they fit fine until I stood up, whereupon my heel slid forward against the heel cup about a half inch and my toes crushed against the front. Second, the openings are too large in the toe area. I prefer closed toe sandals to have more protection, less visibility, and a slightly less casual look.
Teva, please stop the ongoing practice of making every iteration of the high end sandal worse than one before. And for crying out loud, bring back the half sizes for these and similar sandals. These are not flipflops or slides - they need precise fit and for this price they should have it. If you really can't make it work, charge more for the half sizes.

They shortened the strap, so it barely fits my instep. Really poor decision. The brown color is now more of a grey, which doesn't match online photos.
Cheap plastic buckle to secure strap is still the weak point. Once it breaks, the shoe is worthless. I bent a hanger wire to replace the broken plastic piece.

I am disappointed in the way these sandals fit Also the strap is too short It doesn't go all the way across the top of my foot. The sizing is also not right. I've been wearing Teva for a few years and never had this problem. I would like to send them back and try another size like a 10.5.

These are not at comfortable as my old pair that I have worn for many years. This pair was not offered in half sizes an now I must wear socks with them. The color is terrible. The quality does not seem a good as my old pair.
