It's super well-insulated and the pockets keep your hands toasty. Love that you can detach the fur from the hood. I'd buy this over and over again.

After many years with a light jacket I finally upgraded to a warm winter coat. Things I love: the fluffy hood, warm insulation without the extra "puffy" look, tapered back which gives it a feminine shape, longer sleeves, jacket length is perfect (just above the knee). Things I don't particularly love: the Velcro by the neck can scratch, the colors are pretty but a bit underwhelming, wish the leopard print was available for other colors other than white. Overall I would recommend this jacket but definitely make sure to try it on first. Also, the colors are more muted in person than online

I live in midcoast Maine where temps have been in single digits a fair bit this winter. When I put on my new jacket and walk down by the cove and further toward the ocean beach at the end of the road I feel impervious to the cold. This is a complete game changer! The pockets are roomy enough for gloved hands, the hood (though noisy when walking) is a dream. It's easy to zip and for a quick dash out to the car, the velcro is great. My family and friends are probably tired of me gushing about my new jacket but it makes me so happy I can't help it!

Keeping me toasty in the Chicago winter!

I love the look of this Parka. I walk my dog a few miles everyday and winter is the worst! With this parka, I am not cold! After years of trying all brands to keep me warm, I finally found one.

This is the most flattering fit for a 3X girl. Love that. And it is not bulky like a marshmallow! It's very warm and comfortable. Zippers are good which a lot of coats I've tried don't have easy zippers to work but this coats zippers work great. Love everything about it.

I couldn't decide between the new outerboroughs parka & this women's arctic parka, so I ordered them both. I had planned to send one of them back, but ended up keeping both because I actually loved both coats so much. If you are only going to purchase one coat though, the arctic parka is my favorite, and it was about $150 less expensive. I wore this coat in single digit temperatures with high winds and I stayed perfectly warm. I absolutely love this coat and it fits very well and true to size, even with bulky sweaters on underneath. The outer boroughs parka is VERY slightly warmer in the upper body, but the arctic parka fits closer to the body at the bottom part, so seems to keep drafts from the bottom out a little bit more. The arctic parka has velcro for the flap closure once you get it zipped up, whereas the outer boroughs parka has snaps. For me, I like the velcro a little better because its just faster. You do have to be a little careful if you have a sweater on that the velcro doesn't stick to the sweater when you are first putting the coat on, but it's not difficult to manage. The fabric on the arctic parka is slightly less stiff feeling, which makes movement in it a little bit easier. This is a beautiful, functional coat and is exactly what I was looking for. If I could only have one heavy winter coat, this would be the one.

I live in WI and the winter is harsh! This coat keeps me warm and is very figure flattering. I find many winter coats are bulky. A must buy! You will not regret this purchase!

I bought this parka for my daughter-in-law as she needed a warm coat for sitting at cold winter baseball games where she lives. I was concerned when it arrived because it seemed so lightweight. She assured me it is very warm. She is tall and very slender (maybe size 4), but wanted a medium to allow for layering. Seems to have plenty of room for heavy sweater underneath. Hood is nice and substantial.

Best purchase! Lightweight and keeps me very warm. Great color! Pockets are lined which keep my hands warm when I forget my gloves Long enough to keep chill grom my legs but easy to move in. Fits like a glove easy to work and hike in it!
