Have not worn the coat in extreme cold yet but is very lightweight and seems warm.

Really like coat, good fit, my husband likes it on me!!

I live in Indiana and so far this season it hasn't really been that cold so I haven't been able to test it out that well. The only bad thing I have to say about this coat so far is that it runs a little small. I ordered a small originally because that is what my other north face coat is and it was plenty big, but this coat is small in the shoulder/ back area.

Overall this is a great coat for windy, cold and snowy days in Alaska. I love the length. However, XXL is too big overall & XL is too tight in the chest. I'm 5'7 & 190 pounds. I usually wear an XL & think a 1X would have fit me well.

I love this coat, it's great for everyday wear. Biggest issue is the color is lighter and different that it appears online.

The parka is beautiful and of high quality. I rated four stars instead of five due to fit. I ordered a 2XL to have plenty of room but the coat is very fitted. The problem I have with North Face in general is their sizing - I never know which size to buy XL or 2XL. I wear a size 14 or 16 in coats.

Love it. Just what I need for my trip to NYC. Right fit - I am 5.5" and 130 lbs, ordered M. So warm and cozy! 4 stars is only because I thought looking at the picture the fur trim is grey. It is black on black and logo embroidery is lost too being done in black as well.

I wear this for colder weather with sweaters and fits well over sweaters

I like the fit. It is made for someone that is not built like a stick figure (that has no hips). I am 5'4", 122 lbs and most Northface products are too tight in the hips for me. This has a nice fit. I feel it is a true medium.

Got it for my daughter who lives in Montana. Great for keeping warm in super cold weather!

I wanted to keep this coat but it made me look like a small hippo. I am 5'1" and slim and the shape was not very flattering. I also thought that the wind would whip right up me since the bottom was so flared. I returned it. Also totally lost under the hood - no matter what I cinched, I couldn't see out of it.

Bought this gift for my wife did over night delivery and it came real quick I was impress and the best part my wife loved it...

Lovely jacket. As shown in photo. I like that the fur trim is removable. Sizing is good EXCEPT the arms fit very tightly. I bought this for my 14 year old and it fit her great except for the arms. We kept it but it will be hard for her to wear any sweaters with it.

I bought this jacket, for an upcoming trip to Colorado. I am from California, so the weather isn't too cold, but I'm expecting snow and cold temperatures during our trip. I haven't had a chance to test it out in the extreme cold, but I did try on the jacket and it seems like it will keep me warm enough. I could feel the warmth being held in. There is also enough room for me to layer a sweater or fleece jacket underneath. I'm hoping it does the trick in Colorado temperatures.

This Parka is the perfect length. It hits just above the knee. It is classy and stylish, yet warm and functional! The Faux Fir around the hood dresses it up and makes the Parka look fantastic. I was looking for a Parka that was warm and functional for work, but yet makes the tranistion for a night out with family or friends. This does the job!

It hasn't been cold enough to test this jacket out, but it is comfortable, attractive, and stylish. Hopefully it will be as warm as I anticipate it being and will last as long as my other North Face jackets (10+yrs!).

I find all North Face to run small. This is no exception. Once you get past the sticker size, this is a great coat. Keeps you warm and dry. The style is classic so it will last for years to come.

Super warm in the wind!

This is my first winter in New England, now that I have this coat I am ready for snowmaggedon!

a little bulkier than expected, but form fitting and warm

I like this coat quite a bit. It feels too warm right now (early fall), but I know that will be perfect for winter. The sleeves fit true to size, but the waist is a little large. I'm normally a small/medium and I purchased a medium in this coat so the sleeves wouldn't be too short. The chest fits well, but the waist doesn't cinch in as much as I would like, and it feels a little bulky. Then again, it is a giant puffy winter coat, so bulky may be what they're going for. Overall, love the coat, love the color (I got the green), and would totally purchase again.

I bought this parka several years ago and returned it because I didn't like the color at the time (brown). I researched parkas quite a bit before I purchased this one. I love the navy color. I filled out the sizing chart before purchasing and though it recommended a Medium, I purchased the Small. I'm 5'4", 132 lbs. and am a 32D chest. I just got back from The North Face store at my local mall to try on the Medium and though it was roomier, I stayed with the Small. So, if you want more room, go with the Medium. It's not that great of a size difference but personally, I wanted to have a trimmer fit. I can still fit a sweater underneath. I live in Rhode Island and anticipate that this parka will keep me cozy. It's long enough to fend off the chilly weather to my knees and the lining is great; the down quilting is on the inside therefore keeping the warmth close to your body.

Love the coat! Im 5'4, 110 lbs and size XS/TP fits me like a glove! 4 stars instead of 5 because the design of the hood fur is poor, it makes me look like i have coconut shaped hair when having the hood on!

The coat is super nice and warm. The design of the fur needs work! When i put that hood on my head, i look like a joke with the fur hanging high up near my ears as if that's my coconut shaped hair! I have this old Via Spiga down coat with the real fur hood and i love the way the hood looks on me. This northFace coat needs to redesign that hood!
