I was looking for a coat that is perfect for the December/January weather. This coat is great for the winter, but it would not withstand a windy, -20 degree day. I wished the neck opening is bigger, its feels tight with a scarf on and does not zip all the way up. As well, the hood can use a little width and height, there is not enough coverage to keep the face warm on a windy, cold day. The pocket opening too can be longer and pockets need more insulation for cold weather. I normally wear XS and had to size up to S--the body fits well. This parka is stylish and is still a very good coat to have in the closet.

I am 5 ft and 105 lbs. For other Nf products I am a firm S so I ordered this originally in small and it fit perfectly, but too perfect. It didn't leave enough comfortable room for layering underneath and it was somewhat tight around the shoulders and chest area so I returned it and reordered a M. So now although I am happy with this size change there are things I wish were included to this coat like adjustable waist and a cincher cord for along the bottom of the coat for better insulation since with the extra room does make it a bit airy. Otherwise I love this jacket, I am cozy, have room for layers, and the color is very pretty (deep heather garnet). I get many compliments on it as well.

This is a nice coat but it was a weird fit in me. I wear a size small shirt and size medium/8 pants. I think this coat might fit better on a person who is more evenly proportioned. Because the waist is kind of cinched in it felt too tight on my hips in a size small but in a medium it didn't feel or look right either.

I love the jacket, I do wish the pockets were lined better. If you don't have gloves on and its windy your hands will be cold in your pockets. Other than that the jacket is super warm and durable!

I highly suggest trying on in store in several sizes. I ended up going with a Medium in the end despite everyone saying go up a size. This coat has enough puffy/bulk to it without needing to add extra fabric of a larger size than you need. It won't require many extra layers under it because it's insanely warm! That's a Pro. A con is that it isn't as shapely and flattering as they make it look. It's more boxy in cut than it appears. But I was after performance so that was less important to me. For reference I am 5'6", 150 and the medium is plenty good. It fits snug but not too tight with a heavy fleece, and additional base layer. The large sleeve length was way too long and the mid section was just huge, my husband even said it added pounds to me. Also I'm sure wind would ride up it as this coat has no cinch cords. Buy your size is my advice.

This jacket is super comfortable and the pockets are deep. I wish the pockets were cloth lined, though. They are satin lined, so if you have cold hands, the material doesn't really warm them up. The hood isn't has big as I'd wish it to be, as it barely fits over my head for warmth. The hood also doesn't stay put if there is wind, as there are no drawstrings to tighten it up. However, the jacket kept me warm and dry as I walked through snow, and it was snowing at the time, so I see it as an A+.

I liked the more fitted look of my usual size small. However, I decided to size up to medium and go for comfort instead. This coat definitely runs small. Still love it, just wished the sizing was more accurate. And I do agree with other reviewers that the zipper is rather cheap for this quality or coat. I would still recommend... it's super comfy and warm.

I love the color and that it's not too heavy. I also like the sturdy hood with the fur as it does not come off easily when it's windy outside.

Nice coat / parka.. While size is XXL, this coat is more of an XL. Keeps you warm in the cold upper Midwest winter weather. Nice to find a good waterproof coat. .

Though I have not worn yet I have great expectations for my coat. The fit guide was helpful I can't wait to wear my coat

This coat is warm and cute. Perfect for cold city weather. It also has some elastic around the waist to give the coat a shape. Love it!

I have owned North Face jacket before but I wanted a longer yet casual warm jacket for the Chicago cold winters. I'm 5'0" tall and about 112 lbs. the XS was more fitted than I expected but the Small was bulky and looked big. Overall it's cute and super warm with the hood. I would recommend it!

I bought this coat in a medium as a gift for my daughter. She is 5'6" and weighs a 120 lbs. It fit her perfect. She goes to school in the Northeast and this coat keeps her warm and dry.

Had to return the coat because the hood snaps (plastic) wouldn't hold. Good return policy but I've been without a coat for a week waiting for a replacement.

I had to size up to a large, because it was too tight in the shoulders and chest. I'm always a medium in North Face jackets, but not in this style. Sleeves ran short also. Loved the fur trim and the fact that it is waterproof.

i really like this coat! it's a little bulky but keeps me warm. i was irritated with the zipper at first but i have learned to gently ensure it's properly gripped before trying to zipper and it is just fine. it was pouring rain today and the coat kept me warm & dry.

The jacket is nice and warm. It is just the right length for me, just above my knees. It is a little more snug than I normally wear but not constricting, its comfortable. The color is very nice, it is the Deep Garnet Red Heather.

Love the coat. It's super cute and really is a barrier to cold weather. I walked my dogs in 20 degree weather and did not feel any cold air except my face. Only one advice- purchase on an upsize.

Great coat, but was too small for the person the coat was purchased for. Went to a local store that carries North Face coats so that coats could be tried on. Purchased another North Face coat that fits her great and looks fabulous!

I just got this jacket as a Christmas gift from my husband. I was confused on what size to order as many comments said that the jacket fit small but I think it fits true to size! Maybe even a larger fit. After just having a baby and my body being bigger than usual I wanted a jacket that will fit me now and when I loose the baby weight. I am 5"5 155 pounds with broad shoulders and the jack fits perfectly. when I get down to 140-145 the jacket will be a little loose but I don't mind because I will be able to wear big sweaters underneath. So happy I didn't waste money on a goose or nobis. THIS JACKET IS WORTH THE MONEY!

Very nice jacket. Warm enough for Wisconsin winter so far.

I use this coat for Chicago's frigid winters. It keeps me very warm. I found that my normal size , small, was too fitted with no room for layers so I went a size up. The zippers are hard to zip up (If it wasn't for this, I would have given it 5 stars). Overall good coat.
