After a lot of research, I decided to try this coat on in the store before buying. I spend a lot of time outdoors in Minnesota where temps are often below zero in the winter. I needed a warm, waterproof, wind proof coat that allows for unrestricted movement. This hit 3 of my requirements. I'm 4'11", 115 lbs, 34DD, with an athletic build. The small was a bit tight through the chest and shoulders but I was drowning in the medium. I tried it on with 2 layers underneath and it was a snug fit. I'm hopeful that wearing light base layers underneath will still keep me warm. The wind/water proofing on this coat sold me. A petite medium would have probably fit perfectly. Pretty please offer petite sizes!

I bought this product for my 10 year old. She is very tall for her age at 5'3 about 110lbs. I originally ordered a small since we transitioned into adult clothes. The Small was a perfect spot on fit. But let's be honest for the price of this coat I wanted something to last. So I exchanged it for a Medium. What I've noticed. There is no real big difference between the sizes. This coat had to be made for slender taller females. The waist fit from Small to Medium is very very little difference. The arms are longer. I opted to keep the coat because she started to slow down on the growing process. But let's get to the actual cost itself. It is by far the best material. Waterproof, windproof, stain proof. I've owned North Face's myself before but this is top of the line. It's not overly thick, but very warm. The collar is high enough and does not choke you. The hood stays put and the best part. REMOVABLE! The length hits above the knees. The sleeves have that extra sleeve that is tight around your wrist, so no cold air gets in. The coat is slender in all aspects. So it's no where near on the puffy side.

Its a very nice product. Very warm. Due to taper at midsection it is a bit tight. Will have to size up or look for a slightly different style.

I wore this outside for the great jack o'lantern spectacular in MN. It was 30 degrees outside and I didn't even get cold at all. Very warm and didn't allow the wind to cut through.

I use for casual wear mostly during the cold winter and rainy season. Dries fairly quickly and wind resistant. Aslo lightweight but warm for colder days.

I needed a new winter coat as I liven NYC and the winters can be pretty brutal. But I also wanted a jacket that I can wear short sleeves under -- not only sweaters. So I had the jacket shipped to the store to try it on and fully make my decision from there. Tried it on and realized it felt kind of thin, especially if i don't plan to wear sweaters everyday. Helpful associate suggested I try the GEOX jacket which has more down and is heaver--- i loved it and paid $100 dollar difference. Geox is water proof and has magnetic buttons. Love it!!

Just received this coat, so I haven't had the time to wear it besides its not cold yet. I bought this coat to replace my other Arctic Pka I was hoping they were the same. However I do like the color of this coat, it is light weight and comfortable I would have loved for it to be as fluffy and soft as the other. I also would love for TNF to start putting chest side pockets coats for women.

Have to go up a size just for more chest room, and then the silhouette gets lost. Still rated high for warmth and wind proof

I love this jacket. It's going to be great for walking my dog this winter. The material feels very strong and durable as compared to those down jackets that have a nylon feel. Not sure about waterproof. I will say that this runs small. I had to order 2 sizes larger than my normal size.

The quality and overall look are excellent. I found the fit too slim for my taste and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get a sweater on underneath the coat. Everything else was great. I really like that the slim fit makes such a big coat still look nice but in the end, I like a little more room.

I love the quality of this jacket and it's super cute and flattering as well! I do need to exchange for a smaller size, but other than that I know I'll love this investment!

The design is flattering. The material was softer and lighter than my old arctic parka. I hope it is just as weather resistant and toasty warm as my old favorite!

I just got my coat so haven't used it yet, but I love the fit, style, color etc. I had to take it off almost immediately because I was so hot! This is the first winter coat I've ever bought for myself and I am very excited to test it out during the cold months.

This is a great, warm winter coat and the length is ideal (hits mid thigh). As a 5'6" 125 lb woman, the small was surprisingly a bit big on me. I'd prefer it to be more snug around the torso and would be great if the bottom of the coat had a drawstring or some sort of option to tighten it. I haven't yet worn the coat in very cold weather, but am concerned the gaping at the bottom of the coat may let some cold / wind in.

Very bulky but very warm. The bottom is a bit too wide and makes me look a little bell-shaped, but the cost is supposed to be more functional than fashionable. It keeps me warm through the winter in upstate NY.

Everything is great, except for the fact that the pockets were a little low on me (I'm 5'3'') and I thought they could be a little bigger. Sometimes I feel like the zipper is a little finicky. It got stuck 3 times in the first 2 weeks of wearing it.

I bought this coat in November 2017 and I still use it till this day! I live in a place where it gets incredibly cold (Negative 56 degrees F) and I needed a jacket that would help me keep warm and this jacket definitely does it. When it is super windy, I don't feel the wind anywhere on my body or thighs, just my face! I seriously cannot stress enough how awesome this jacket is and how warm it keeps me! I even sat on ice for an hour once in it and my butt never even got wet! I usually wear a Large in women's clothing, Medium in Men's clothing and I got an XL large in this coat (5'7, 200 lbs) and it fits perfect - not too tight and not too big. So, I suggest going a size up. The one complaint I do have is that sometimes the pocket zippers get stuck and that the inside pocket does not fit my iPhone X in the case. I would have wanted the inside pocket a bit bigger. But, other than that - no complaints!
