I've been thinking about getting this jacket for yeas and finally ordered it. I like the coat because it's warm yet not heavy. The outer material is good quality and the construction is good for the price. So far, I tested in strong wind and it kept me warm! I like how this jacket is slim fitting...it looks more fashionable than other down jackets. I wear size P0 or 00 and this jacket (XS) fits me nicely.
I wanted the black but didn't like the white logo sewn on the back and the right arm in WHITE thread so went with the blue. I am not crazy about any logos on my clothing so it would be nice if NF can make clothing without NF logo.

I bought both the WOMEN'S ARCTIC PARKA II and the WOMEN'S OUTER BOROUGHS PARKA for outdoor sports events in upstate NY and Michigan. I have an athletic build and am usually in between a Small and Medium (5'3" 135 lbs). I tried on both the Small and Medium in both parkas. The small fit but was a bit snug and would not be able to wear anything heavy under it. The medium fit nicely. The Arctic Parka is a little more stylish while the Outer Boroughs is a little more bulky and heavy. This may not be an issue for taller women. Both are 550 down fill but the Outer Boroughs seems heavier. Have not worn in cold weather yet so can't comment on wind/water proof or warmth.

I love the coat however it runs small. I usually wear large, but thus coat I had to return and get ab extra large. I had to get a grey because the taupe was no longer available in xl.

Received this jacket couple of days ago... I was looking for a jacket that kept me warm and at the same time stylish. This jacket did that, very warm and it does not feel heavy on. I'm 5'4 so it is a little long, for me I'm not use to long jackets but I will definitely keep it.. I would recommend buying it... especially since it was on sale as well...

The jacket is great. It is warm and a nice length. I'm 5'1" and it comes above my knee which is great for this cold weather. I would recommend North Face to anyone.

I loved this! It was stylish and warm. The belted waistline is darling and flattering. Lots of great features like the inner sleeve cuff. I loved this but had to return it because of you zip the coat all the way up the neck was so stiff I couldn't move. It was very uncomfortable!

I am a medium in North Face, but this medium was too snug in the chest and the arms. The sleeves were also too short. I will be exchanging for a large though because it's a super cute coat.

New Taupe Green is a nice color-- pretty much khaki green. The hood is great- actually stays on your head and doesn't fly back with the wind. I wish this parka was longer. It hits mid-upper thigh, and would be warmer if it hit mid-lower thigh/knee.

I liked how the coat looks and all the reviews are great. When I received the coat, I was disappointed that I didn't look at the description better. You cannot adjust the waist for a more fitted look, so if you buy a larger size your figure will get lost. I wanted a coat with built in pull-over mittens and it does not have those. Just a longer sleeve underneath shell. Would be nice if it at least had thumb holes, but it doesn't. I will return and get a smaller coat that has the pullover mittens.

I'm from a warm city in Spain, so when I moved to Boston (USA) I needed to buy a good coat for the winter, which is way colder that I the ones I am used to. I was very doubtful at first, as it feels "thin" (not bulky) and I didn't know if it would be enough. I've tried this coat in cold weather (real feel -17 Celsius) and it is warm (of course, on those really cold days I also layered with a thermal long sleeve t-shirt and a sweater, instead of a normal t-shirt and a sweater).
It is also very good with the wind! I didn't feel the wind in those really cold windy days where I was covered with the coat. It has also kept me dry in the rain/snow.
I also like that the look is not too bulky.
Here are the downsides: as people have said before, it looses some feathers. So far I don't find it very inconvenient, but I'll keep an eye on this. Also, the zipper is very stiff in the chin, so it is uncomfortable to zip it completely. In my case, I try to wear a scarf, and I don;t usually zip it completely, which is more comfortable. I've read some comments about the zipper not working very well. In my case it works perfect and it is easy to unzip.
I think the Deftdown parka has better quality in some of those details (a friend of mine has this one, and I would really like to have those magnet buttons), but it is considerably more expensive. In my case, the price difference was not worth it.
I'm happy with the coat, but as I said it is not perfect. But it works for me in the Boston winters, and it looks nice! (I had the black one).

Recently purchased the "WOMEN'S ARCTIC PARKA II" and it fits just right and keeps warm. I like the length as it's nit too short or too long. Planning to use it in Sweden.

This jacket is great for cold weather. I had a hard time deciding which color to get - but ultimately decided on black because it goes with EVERYTHING. I've been looking for the "perfect" parka and I think this is it! Excited to wear it on the coldest of days.

I love the silhouette, it's a very warm coat without feeling overstuffed or enormous. It's cozy and comfortable, the internal sleeves are a nice touch to keeping wrists warm. Deep pockets on the outside and I like having an additional pocket tucked away on the inside. It fits fairly well, if a little snug. I'm only surprised because North Face's "fit finder" suggested an XL. I chose a 2XL based on my measurements and I do feel slightly restricted across the chest. I think a 3XL would end up being too long in the sleeves, body, and hips so I'm sticking with this size. I wouldn't have been able to zip up an XL so I would say the coat runs small if you're busty. I'm 5' 2", 40DDD, 46" at bust, 40" waist, for reference.

I fell in love with this Parka when I first tried it on in the store. I was really excited when it was on sale. My only issue is that I was stuck with choosing a small or a medium because I am 5'4" & weigh about 150. The small fits perfect, but it was a little snug around the chest. I couldn't really wear a thick sweater underneath it, so I ended up choosing a medium instead. I'm from Boston, & I was so excited when I received this. I couldn't help telling my friends that "I really love this parkahhh" in our Bostonian accent.

I'm always cold so this is going to be used for more than freezing temps, the design is stylish and can work for day and nighttime looks. The feel of the material is soft and reminiscent of a lot of designer jackets on the market for a third of the price.

I like the jacket because it's stylish, fits nice and has a shape. I bought small and it fits right. At 5ft tall , the sleeve is a little bit long, length is perfect, below knees, fit of jacket is good. The only thing is I can feel cold air, I wore in 11 degrees weather. I thought it would be warmer. I will still have to wear an extra layer of sweater to be warm how I thought the jacket should be. Overall it's a nice jacket. I bought the grey, happy with my choice. I tried the blue but the material looks like it can get dust and will look older than it is.

This is a great coat..I had the older version of this coat(it had 2 zipper pockets on chest area)..it lasted a long time, so decided to get this coat...the only thing that's annoying is the hood. The 2 button snaps that suppose to keep the hood together is always snapping off with the slightest movement....had they extended the zipper (like the older version coat)on the hood instead of that short zipper...it wouldn't be that bad when the snaps pop off
